5 comments about World of Warcraft(r): The Burning Crusade Binder Bundle (World of Warcraft) (World of Warcraft).
  1. I was expecting the book to be in a binder form. Imagine my dismay when I got a paper notebook binder? The paperback guides do fall apart after alot of use, how nice it would have been if it were in a notebook form in a decent binder.

  2. Im an Avid WOW player, the manual contains great info, but the book itself fell apart in three weeks time. also the binder broke as well. Stick to buying the game guide alone, the package isn't worth it.

  3. In all honesty, you cant find the binder in say any retail store usually which makes it a collectors item. And any binder or book will wear out (they are made of biodegradable material after all) over time and lots of use *shrugs* I found the book v facinating and v helpful and plan on using the binder to hold printouts of questing material from various sources on the web. Thanks!!

  4. Binder is fragile
Binder is too small hold more than one of the guides
The guides are not hole punched and they are bound therefore the two don't go together
Guides are mostly collections of facts not text describing how to get the most out of the game.

  5. If you don't have it and are in WOW TBC get it !
This is even a special edition so if you a collector buy 2 ,the price is a steal !!!

5 comments about WWF Smackdown! 2 (Know Your Role): Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
  1. This is a great guide. it has everthing you need to beat the game. It gives you every move you need. i hope you buy it because its the best guide out there by far.

  2. This guide is very useful and helpful if you are having trouble in Season Mode or if you just want to know the charachters moves and some cool facts about the wwf superstars. It tells you the hidden charachters and the specials and the controlls . Smackdown 2 : Know Your Role is a very good game with lots of litle matches ( hell in a cell , falls count anywhere , tlc etc)and the guide to it is just as good.

  3. I would have rated this book lower if I could have but I can't. First of most the buttons are all messed up........it says to do a finisher press L2. It is not so. You Press L1. On top of that it gives no help or hints on how to earn things in the game. It helped me about as much as a flu. This is a waste of money. It tells you to press this button at the beginning and then at the move page it tells you to press another. It has so many typos and wrong pictures such as grandmaster sexay on scotty to hotty's page and Mick Foley under the F's instead of the M's like thay say he's is souppose to be under. What a waste. I'm thirteen and I spent money to find out that this book is messed up. I warn you don't waste your money. I found out the hard way. It says it covers all of the match types on the back. Not! It does not cover alot of them like TlC,tornado tag team, and more. This is a kid writing this and saying it stinks not an adult. Please don't waste money. It was made 2 months before the game came out and the game changed alot over that time. It's not right to make a game guide that soon. It was just made so people would want to see the preview of it. Now that the game is out it is worthless. It offered me no help.To sum it up the book reeks and not of awsomeness!

  4. I bought this book shortly after buying the game, but boy was I disappointed. The book contains no strategy whatsoever inside, just a list of controls and each character's moves. Even some of these were incorrect. For example, it says that to perform a character's finisher, you press L2. Nuh-uh!! it's actually L1!! The book has other mistakes such as having the old-school 'Godfather' instead of the 'Goodfather', having the wrong captions under screen shots, and having Mick Foley in the wrong place. On the back of this book it promises to give tips on gameplay and match modes but when you get the plastic cover off, you realise you've been well and truly lied to by the writer as there is nothing of the sort inside. Take my advice and don't bother buying this book. It won't tell you anything you don't already know. It's a pity because this really is a great game. Just not a great guide to go with it.

  5. that is the best thing to get for christamas

  1. THE BOOK IS GOOD FOR SHOWING THE LEVELS, BUT IT SHOULD SHOW THE ENEMIES HIDING SPACES. AND IT SHOULD SHOW IF THERE ARE CHEATS FOR HELP. THERE SHOULD ALSO BE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS YOU CAN PLAY AND WEAPONS YOU CAN USE. IT SHOULD ALSO HAVE CO-OP SO YOU CAN PLAY THE GAME WITH YOUR FRIENDS TO BEAT IT WITHOUT HAVING TO PLAY TWOPLAYER

  1. it details everything about mechwarrrior 2 and i think it should be released for mech 3

3 comments about Game Over: How Nintendo Zapped an American Industry, Captured Your Dollars, and Enslaved Your Children.
  1. Game Over is a terrific account of Nintendo's past, and is must reading for video game enthusiasts and historians. Mr. Sheff had what seemed to be unparalleled access to Nintendo's inner workings, and brought back a fascinating story on a family business made good in the international community. Unfortunately, the book falls for Nintendo's predictions for the future (many of which were designed by Nintendo solely to draw attention away from its rivals rather than to provide insight into their future business plans.) As long as the last parts of the book that attempt to chart the future course for video games and Nintendo are ignored, the book stands as an important work in video game journalism.

I do have a few complaints with the contents and focus of the book; there are the usual small factual errors which may obscure future historical video game research; there are the regurgitations of various industry spokesmen without proper interpretations; and there is the unwavering focus on Nintendo which tends to downplay the parts played by their competitors/rivals in the industry. I have yet to read the updated version of Game Over (Press Start to Continue), and the new version may rectify some or all of these shortcomings. Regardless, Game Over stands as a slightly flawed, but amazingly useful research tool and entertaining book.

  2. This is ONE book that I just can't get out of my mind! This book is a must get for gamers & Nsiders (The Official On-line Nintendo Club)!

Game Over gave a near-perfect insite to Nintendo's beginning of a handfuda card company (Japanese cards), develop into a game / toy company, & eventually entering the Video Game company.

David Sheff did an excellent job in writting this book & does go in depth into things as well as actual translation of the name ("Leave Luck to God" is my favorite).

If the Nsiders is a cult/ religion, this would be our bible!

This is a great book to read, even though there are slight minor flaws & this version only goes up to 1993. It's a must read good & would Highly suggest picking up the revised sequal, "Game Over: Press Start to continue"

  3. Wow... I read this in 5th grade and it was worth it! And then I read it again in eigth grade... The reason i love this book so much is that i won the contest for Nintendo with the information in this book. (animal crossing pioneer)

Well, I can't say enough for this book. I own the hardback, and plan to get the updated paperback soon!

  1. Okay, to begin with, I must state that neither my husband nor myself was born with a game controller in our hand so we usually need all the help we can get on any of the games we buy! :-) More importantly however, is the fact that UNLESS you have this guide (and are as aforementioned), you won't make it out of the first few scenes without being sliced, diced, and eaten - all in very graphic detail! :-)

Once you do get this guide, the game really takes off and is a lot of fun. It was very well written, with some of the more difficult parts explained with actual game graphics as well soyou would know what the heck to look for, where to find it, and when to use it.

5 comments about Supercade: A Visual History of the Videogame Age 1971-1984.
  1. Great for a trip down memory lane, but certainly not a "scholarly" approach to the videogame era. Still searching for a book that takes the most academic approach to this medium, but this one is certainly appealing if a bit irreverent in terms of its overall presentation.

  2. A really fun book ... and one that conjures memories of the old days of video gaming. I had forgotten some of the games and graphics of those early years, and it was fun and interesting to read and see them again. This book is as much about the photos and graphic layout as the text, but make sure to read it ... the text is insightful, well-researched, and thorough. I can relate to Van Burnham's personal recollections and her weaving of those experiences into the history of videogaming makes this book memorable and remarkable. Gotta go ... I've got to figure out how to get my Colecovision hooked up to a plasma for a round of Mr. Do!

  3. If you have any love of video games beyond your couch, this book will make a great addition to your library. If you have a superiority complex and need to out-snob your friends about the history of Pong and where the name Donkey Kong comes from- buy this book now. Also recommended- Arcade Fever, I am 8-Bit, Everything Bad is Good for You.

  4. this is a rather large book, more of a visual treat than a book. It has a generous helping of photographs, all of them in colour. That alone is worth the price of the book. A good coffee table book.

  5. I've never seen anything quite like this before. From cover to cover it's BIG, glossy, fascinating, well written and most of all, BRILLIANT !
The pictures are huge and the way it's laid out is great.
If you've played Classic arcade games in the 80's or now, you simply must buy this book.
