1. Good guide, good guide. 320 pages of everything you need to know, and all locations of flowers and special coins. Buy it!



2. Whenever a third party company makes a strategy guide for a Nintendo video game, most of the time you will not be able to get what you have paid for. Prima has shown that again with their strategy guide for Yoshi's Islamd for the Nintendo DS. This strategy guide falls flat in the maps and the help. This version doesn't really work very well. It isn't that descriptive in navagating Yoshi and his baby pals throughout all of the levels. I really suggest that if you own Yoshi's Island for the Nintendo DS, you're better off with Nintendo's strategy guide instead.

1. Almost all RPG games that come out these days are bound to have a guide published. Valkyrie Profile is a game where the strategy guide helps a lot because of overwhelming dungeons that take hours to get by. The book saves tons and tons of backtracking in the game and shows the best recommendations for developing your party of characters. This is a semi-difficult game and the guide explains all the places you can only get through replays, and all the time periods. All in all, it's an engaging game, and the guide will really help you get a grip on how to manuever this captivating RPG game.



2. But Valkyrie Profile is one of the games that you really need a Strategy Guide to get the most out of it.

   When you first start playing the game, it's all a little confusing... the main goal is to strenghten all of your character's into hero's before Ragnarok (the end of the world) but the clock ticks down, and every area/town/dungeon you enter takes up a certain amount of periods (their measure of time)

   First starting out you might be a little unsure of what you are doing, since the game gives you an enormous amount of freedom, plus huge and intricate dungeons.

   If you want to get the most enjoyment and understanding out of the game you might as well go ahead and buy the guide.

   I'm among the many who feel like strategy guides can ruin the gaming experience, but with Valkyrie it's really just going to enhance the experience. The game is so beautiful, beautiful 2D graphics and a side-scrolling format, complex but with tons of freedom, wonderful music, and an interesting storyline with ties into Norse mythology.

   The music is excellent, the game is excellent, and it's also pretty complex. Do yourself a favor!




3. I agree with the assertions posed by the other two reviews, however my jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw the price... $99.99, ARE YOU INSANE! Its a good game, great even, but its not a collectible on that sort of scale. I didn't even pay that much for the game itself! Good luck selling them.

1. This guide is a good one. As a casual comment, it isn't the easiest to follow, but then again the game isn't supposed to be too easy either. I've seen better, but this one works.

1. The renders and artwork used are wonderful, and if you're a Resident Evil fan, you will not go wrong with owning this calendar. However, I was a little disappointed with the lack of variety in the art used. A good chunk of the pictures are from Resident Evil 4 and there are two pictures of Billy and Rebecca from Resident Evil 0. Chris and Claire Redfield don't make it into the calendar (you only see them on the decals, and Claire's decal is so tiny that I'm almost tempted to say it really doesn't count--however, her Let Me Live and Made In Heaven logos are included in the decals, so I suppose that's a nice touch).
   
   The calendar is advertised as having a huge pullout poster. That is not the case. There is a poster of sorts, but it's not huge, and you have to wait before you can use it because the months of June and July are on the back of it. The "poster" is really just a picture of Leon and Ada with a small 16-month November 2007 - February 2008 calendar written on it. It almost seems pointless, given that you've already purchased a calendar.
   
   There are no "birthdays" as the description suggests. The closest thing you'll see to a birthday are the release dates of games in the series. If you're a hardcore fan of Resident Evil, you won't learn anything much from the trivia.
   
   I was expecting more out of the static cling decals, but--to me--they're really just stickers. Still, there are some nice renders of characters and monsters used.
   
   If you don't feed too much into the way the calendar is advertised, you won't be disapointed with it at all. Despite the lack of character and game variety used in the artwork, the whole thing is nicely done.
   
   If you buy this calendar, do not buy it in the store. Most stores sell it for $16.99, and although it is a good calendar, it is simply not worth that price. Buy it online and save 6 or 7 dollars.



2. The 2008 Resident Evil Calendar is an awesome calendar. Each month has a great picture of a character or enemy from the game series and gives a bit of background on them. On days that games were released, they have it marked on the calendar. The stickers that came with it also are a great added bonus. This is a must have for any fan of Resident Evil.



3. I found that wonderful calendar and full of extras. It really was worthwhile to acquire it.



4. Caught my eye with a gasp and quick grab at, Best Buy a few weeks ago.
   
   It had an 18$ price tag but ran up 12$! I would have paid double though.
   
   It was even greater then I assumed at first glace!

5. I bought this calendar as a gift, and it was pretty nice. It's printed on nice glossy paper with some cool images. It comes with some bonus stickers which were kind of neat. It has holidays labeled and some resident evil trivia like when a certain game was released ,etc. It arrived on time with my other orders so it's not like it's shipped from japan or something and takes 6 weeks to arrive. They have a lot of resident evil 4 images, I would have liked to have seen a little more balance but that's no big deal.

1. This Book is awesome! I suggest if u don't know much about campaign editing and Use Map setting Triggers THEN BUY THIS BOOK! But if u are someone who can just go into campaign editor and know what you are doing DON'T GET IT b/c u know to much.

5. This book covers the very basics of Starcraft that everyone probably knows. It also covers making maps in great detail which is good. Creating custom troops and vehicles gets kind of tricky. Then there are the LOGIC COMMANDS that you have to create to make things work, if you like to write computer languages you will like this part, otherwise god help you because you won't be able to make your creation work at all. This book has lots and lots of SPACE and is worth $30 MAX

5. I've had this book for several months. I read it in about two days. If you are a really good Starcraft player and have very good strategies (you can take on 4 comps or more) then this book won't help you. This book will help you, however, if you aren't that good. If it challenges you to take on two computers, this book will help you. I was already good at Starcraft before I got this book. The main thing I learned was about Zerg spells and variable fleats. This book has two main disadvantages: it does not include brood war units and it uses up too much space on unimportant information like unit and map properties. If you are very good at Starcraft, the best strategies you can get are from yourself. Hard core strategies can't be put on paper easily. One thing that I thought was very useless was the unit properties of all the Terran, Protoss and Zerg units. IF YOU ARE VERY GOOD, YOU DON'T NEED THIS BOOK! ...
