1. but only almost. This good book to get through the game quickly. As far as finding Pokémon or finding out what they learn at each level (Pokédex info), it only shows Pokédex info on a few of the new Pokémon. The maps of the areas, towns and caves are done really well, as they also show you all the items that can be foundas well as (most) Pokémon listed by whether they appear in the morning, day or night. The charts on the trainers/gym leaders are also well done. The sealed section in the back is useful, if you really get stuck or need a hint. If you prefer more information (i.e. Pokédex, etc...) I recommend the 'Versus Books Official Pokémon Gold & Silver Perfect Guide (Collectors Edition)'.



2. This guide has almost everything you need to know. It has maps of the areas, what pokemon are located on each route, what each pokemon attack does, and much more. ( They also have a great cheat section. ) The only thing they didn't do very well was put the pokemon names with their attacks under them. The pokemon weren't all in one place. They were spread around the book in not any order! This makes them hard to find. Also the didn't include all the pokemon! Still, I think you should get this guide! The game is very hard without it. Also isn't it better to have a guide that is ok than no guide at all? ( I don't think there are any other Pokemon Gold and Silver guides. )



3. Maybe authors should learn about a game before writing a strategy guide, that would certainly be a good idea. The people who wrote this knew nothing about the game. The section on happiness was absolutely stupid, most of the things listed there do not raise or lower happiness. They have proven they do not know anything about the mathematic values of the game, readily available through reverse engineering of a rom. The exact damage formula is not included (not that they would even know what it was), stat experience, what stat boosters REALLY do, etc.



4. I think this is a great book. What this book contains:
   A sealed section (w/ MAIJOR SPOILERS)
   A thorough walkthrough.
   Answers to the game's hard puzzles.
   Maps of every city, route, ect.
   SOME of the new pokemons' evolutions, moves, ect.
   Items in the game and their purposes.
   EVERY SINGLE move in the game, all of the TMs & HMs & their locations.
   Help on catching Suicune, Raiku, & Entei
   Trainers, their Pokemon & levels, ect.
   Details on Mystery Gift.
   AND MUCH MORE!

   What this book DOESN'T have:
   A complete Pokedex
   Not TOO MANY spoilers
   And all of the unnessisary details

1. I do not own this book but I saw it at a friend's house. It is useless unless you are really desperate for some help, which should not happen. It is always better to explore the game on your own! Using guides such as this ruin the game fun and the challenges Square wanted to put you through.

How can anybody even diss this guide it is like a novel and players guide for the greatest game ever i don't see what more you can ask for its the best detailed pictures enemy descriptions and a very helpful walkthrough i don,t see what the problem is if this review was out of ten i would give it an eleven heres a little tip for everyone who has sense buy this book while you still can som is the best bye :)



3. You must be crazy to think I'd pay more money for the GUIDE when the GAME goes for cheaper! I'm not paying nearly fifty dollars for a book (and I think I saw it reach seventy-five) when the game I could buy for nearly have the price of the maximum amount listed here! I'd rather head over to Ebay where the average SOM guide ranges from ten to twenty dollars. Don't buy any of these guides here.

   As far as I can see this guide is a great guide and you'll more than likely need it for this incredible game. It's easy to get lost in the game and the detailed maps help out a lot. So if you really do need a guide for Secret of Mana then get this one! But please DO NOT buy it here! Find it cheaper!




4. I wish guides for RPG's were still written like this!! It doesn't give away every conceivable tid-bit of info; it actually makes you think in order to figure those things out. It's very well written and I actually found it fun to read without playing the game, like a good book if you will. The bestiary was very helpful too. Buy this; you won't be disappointed unless you like your guides to absolutely flesh-out your games (which kind of ruins the fun for me).



5. Just by itself the artwork and the layout of this book is exceptional.
   The walkthrough is given in a loose story format(There are a couple of different ways one of the characters can be introduced,) with all the specs on the creatures and bosses and seed palaces in the back.
   
   In the higher levels some of the orb chests can be easy to miss and the book has helpful land maps, weapon and creature information. I also like the way the major bosses and mana palace creatures are given their own introductions at the end of each chapter.
   
   I wish every guide was as nice as this one.

1. Gem fighter is a crack up. I end up not ever playing the other games. It's a must have if you like fighting games.



2. Make no mistake, if you want to learn how to competitively play the Alpha Series, this is the book to get. For a mere $15 you get such a wealth of pro knowledge that it really is a no brainer. Don't know what "meaty" or "cross-up" attacks are? No problem, there's a Street Fighter glossary that will give you all those fan-made technical definitions. Seriously, EVERYTHING is in this... with the exception of a few characters.
   
   Unfortunately 1 secret character from SFA2 (Shin Akuma) and all new characters added to SFA3 'Upper' (Guile, Deejay, T-hawk, Feilong, Shin-Akuma, Evil Ryu) are missing from the guide. Normally I wouldn't mind since this was technically a new Street Fighter Alpha 3 revision, but seeing how it was included in the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology game, there's no reason those characters shouldn't have a section in the book!
   
   All and all, great stuff for a great price. With GGPO gaining steam, now's a great time to get in the Alpha scene!



3. The 90's was my time of hangin' out at arcades. And being the 90's, one of the most prominent arcade games was the Street Fighter series from Capcom. Thanks to the success of Street Fighter 2, the SF Alpha series was born from that legacy.
   
   I've never been a hugh SF Alpha fan, at least not as hugh as Street Fighter 2. So I've never had a chance to hone my skills for the Alpha series. Although the skills from SF 2 are transferable, there are many more nuances in the Alpha series. So in steps this guide.
   
   The pages are colorful, brightly illustrated and full of screenshots. All the Alpha games, along with Gem Fighter, are thoroughly covered with detailed walk-thrus of complicated moves and maneuvers for each character.
   
   My goal is to master some of the "weaker" characters from SF Alpha 3. This guide will be a big step in that direction. So for those who would really like to get the most out of their Street Fighter Alpha Anthology game, this guide from Bradygames is your key.

1. This game guide is about as thorough as they come. The game's fighting mechanics and strategies are covered in detail, as are the various game modes, characters, weapons, and various unlockable content. Everything is extremely well organized, making it easy to quickly locate the information you want. The artwork and general layout of the book also looks great.
   
   The guide has been an invaluable reference in learning how to use each fighter effectively. In addition to a complete list of the moves for each fighter and the damage they cause, there are suggestions for the best combos to use, and general strategies for using each fighter along with specific recommendations for fighting at short, medium, and long range.
   
   As deep as the fighting system in Soul Calibur 3 is (minutes to learn, months to master), a guide like this is essential for getting up to speed quickly, and the more quickly you can learn to use each fighter effectively the more enjoyable the game is.
   
   If you get the game, get this guide. You'll be glad you did.



2. I own a good amount of strategy guides and this one seems to be just another run of the mill strategy guide. It gives descriptions of each characters most efficient range to be in, it also gives descriptions of what each chracters moves do like damage and what level they hit at, it gives the price of each item in the Shop mode and how to make the availible in Shop mode, and there is a nice poster with a picture of each character with all the weapons on it with the description of each attribute of each weapon. But this guide doesnt give you a recommended character to fight or not fight against for each character. But this guide is still very convenient to have around and that is the pupose for a startegy guide in my opinion, convenients.



3. I loved this guide. That is such a complete guide. The details of the characters are incredibles and the photos... GREAT.I recommend this for everybody.



4. The Strategy Guide basically consists mostly of profiles for each of the main characters. Included in these profiles are some rather trivial piece of personal information about each of the characters as well as the recommended attacks to use with that particular character. However, I believe the guide doesn't give you enough help when it comes to unlocking features of the game. To unlock these features, certain conditions have to be met. For the most part, most of these features are listed with the conditions needed to unlock them. However, I think the guide should have done a better job of explaining what you need to do in order to unlock certain events, armor types, and weapons.
   
   This guide is somewhat useful. The artwork is very attractive. And would be worthwhile purchase for those who collect them. However, there are many other sources of information online that you could go to if all you need is help with the game.

1. this guide is a great helper to anybody interested in beating Drakengard amazingy...its very indepth and helps the player alot...i recomend getting the book if you want help...but if not dont buy it



2. The guide to Drakengard is great and all, but it's easier(and cheaper) to find a guide by someone on the internet. It really wasn't worth 11 dollars I paid for it. Unless you don't have an active internet connection, do not buy this guide.



3. The condition of the guide was excellent and the speed in which I received the item was faster than I had expected. Overall I am pleased with the outcome of our transaction.



4. It is truly helpful if you want to use your computer and someone is playing the game. My husband says it is most helpful when he gets stuck. If he is happy, I am happy.
