1. There is much to recommend in this book. The chief virtues are that most of the topic is new and hasn't been covered in depth before and that the coverage here is comprehensive. It's very well written with a necessary, but not too much technical detail and would be very accessible to senior students, company representatives, politicians and especially those with an interest in computers and environmental issues. The wealth of detail would make it ideal an case study, more detailed research project or even as a way to manage our own machines!

1. The Prima guide for Guild Wars Factions was the worst game guide book I've ever seen Prima produce. Don't waste your money -- in fact, don't even waste your time reading it if someone gives you a copy.



2. I have NEVER been very impressed with the PRIMA guides and this is just another crummy example of what a terrible job they do, particularly with Guild Wars. I once bought one of their e-book versions and their stupid piracy protection was so hokey I ended up getting my money back. The content is very superficial. While they do a reasonable job of listing all of the skills and mobs in the game, if your hoping for some actual helpful hints on how to beat that tough mission (especially if your going at with just henchies), this guide is of zero use. There is practically no real mission specific information or hints. You would be much better off going to guildwiki or guildwars.gameamp.com or tentonhammer or just googling for what your after. You'll get much better information then this guide will give you.

4. I found the game, Factions a little confusing to follow. What quest would lead me to the end of the game or how many towns were left in the campaign.I bought Prima game guide, from the first page, which is the map, I began to understand what towns I missed and what quest I needed to finish the game. Very informative guide, great addition for the guild wars fan.



5. It is not worth buying it. There is nothing additional that you can find over the internet sites such as Wiki. Besides that the content gets outdated quickly due to ANet's periodical updates.

1. This guide is pretty decent. There are a few errors in it and that is why I gave it only four stars. The strategies are very good however. There is a complete EX game strategy section included with maps. No longer will you feel like a rat in a maze. It also has the lyrics to the ending song (in Spanish though. Why didn't they translate into English?) I think that it is a good guide and if you feel you need it then get it. Bradygames does a very good job putting it's guides together and we should appreciate their hard work.



2. If you buy the game and plan on playing the 'crud' out of it, you MUST GET THIS GUIDE!!!! It has helped me so much in the regular game and the EX version! I couldn't have defeated the final boss or even the first 10 floors of the Chrysler building without it!



3. Even though the game is designed so that you don't have to use a strategy guide, it is impossible to get all the items that you'll need to survive. Use this as a reference book for any items you want, and as a help when you get stuck.



4. If you are stuck, this guide tell you everything!!! It has all the secrets and a few extra notes to make the game easier. It even makes the story easier to understand. You won't miss any item with this book.



5. I bought this strategy guide a year or so ago when I was stuck on Parasite Eve. I just needed to get past where I was, but the strategy guide gave me more than just a hint. It gave me a whole guide for this tough game, and it was very detailed and helpful! It is also just fun to look at for some Parasite Eve junkies out there. It includes boss battles, an enemy bestiary, and a guide to the EX Game and weapon enhancements. Let me say that I would have never beaten the EX Game if it wasn't for this guide! The Ex Game is also the toughest part of the game, and I don't think that it's worth fighting through. It will take weeks to complete and for only a convoluted boss battle where Aya fights Maya. But whatever the case is, this guide is great for any PE lovers out there!

1. After getting this guide I was pretty disappointed. It DOES have fairly good suggestions on what the individual units do, but the descriptions don't go much past the ones provided in the manual that comes with the game. After the unit descriptions the guide provides basic guidelines on how to win each race's single player campaign, broken down into phases just like the game. What I was most looking for however, were tips on attack and defense strategies, as well as tips for multiplayer. This is where the guide is lacking, having only a few pages worth of tips unlike guides for most other RTS games that I have seen.
   
   To sum it up, unless you are having a hard time completing Supreme Commander's single player campaigns, this guide delivers very little that the game's instruction manual does not already provide.



2. i have been a novice at real time strategy games for a long time, never really getting that good at one until this game came out. ironically i became good at what is without a doubt the hardest one i have ever known. the book was a great help as it included many details that are extremely important for successful game play. its an incredibly hard game and buying this guide to get you started is a good idea. supreme commander is strikingly different from other titles in its genre and its actually not a waste of money to pick this up.



3. I'm not a young video kinda guy-I'm pretty old but I love games. This one has a lot going on and the graphics and action are really great. BUT, it takes forever to get the idea of how to play-at least for me. It is not an easy game to learn by any means. But it is a challenge! I've been playing it for about 12 hours and have hardly scratched the surface of learning what it can do and how to do it. Like Mae West said, "if you've got the time...". See, I am old. Good game for advanced players.

1. Well it was good. I wish it went into more detail like turn for turn moves, because I bought the advanced wars game one and a half months ago and I still haven't beaten the final mission (the nest). The reason I haven't beaten it is because I don't know what do buy until it's too late and the enemy has me cornered and is still making more flippin troops that I cant stop from the nest. ( I mean come on it's almost impossible because you really have to watch your every move. It will take hours to beat it "I dont have time for that")But other than that everything was spectacular the trials, the rest of the campaign missions,the fog revealingthe location of the troops.



2. The guide is like my best friend. It provides a detailed map on what the level is about and sometimes when the levels have Fog of War, they show it all without Fog of War, perfect for preparing strategies. It provided me what I needed to beat a very tough mission and now I'm ready to go through the rest of the game thanks to this. I recommend it to anyone who has yet own Days of Ruin or has a hard time with the game. 5 stars.



3. The book seems to assume you are already familiar with the game and is only fair with regard to unit details and how to use units.
   
   The majority of the book tells you in detail how to win each scenario in the campaigns. I decided it would take all the fun out of the game for me and so it seems like kind of a waste of money unless you are the kind of person who can't play a game without cheat codes.

1. ...because I think that the strategy guide is quite useful. You would have to be a buffoon to need actual STRATEGIES to win the battles - this is not the intended purpose. However, knowing that the marquis has an entire complement of Genji armor, which otherwise cannot be found, makes the gaming experience much more enjoyable. Also, knowing WHERE to find Cloud's materia blade, without which he cannot perform any special attacks, is quite nice. I guess I COULD complain that Square put these things into the game in order to get us to buy strategy guides, but hey, that's not a complaint against the GUIDE, right?
   All in all, I found the guide useful, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get everything possible out of the game. However, if you need the guide simply to get through the battles, well, maybe you should switch to another game, like Candy Land.

3. Final Fantasy Tactics is a game where you have to use tactics. You have to THINK. You can't expect a book to do your thinking for you. The guide's strategies are a joke anyway.
   WHat is usefule, however, is some of the job descriptions and the other million details you want for a perfect file. However, be warned--there are many inaccuracies and errors. Besides, you usually find better information on the net anyhow.

   Buy it if you're a die-hard FFT fan, too dumb to think of a good strategy, too lazy to bother yourself to think, or don't have internet access (then why are you here? hmm...). Otherwise, you don't really need color maps and fancy fonts, now do you?

5. This is a pretty good strategy guide. I had already beaten the game once before I actually bought this guide of Amazon for 10 bucks. When I played the game the 2nd time using the strategy guide, it helped me find secrets and other things that I had no idea about before. It also has a very useful appendix that lists all the Armour you can buy, all the monsters, missions, etc. Along with a very useful description of each of the 20 Job classes.

1. Disagea 2 is a great game in many respects. It uses the old school boxes on a map , turn based system (which I happen to love) with a concept similar to games like Super Robot Wars or Final Fantasy tactics but with a twist. The characters are outrageous and there is no limit to how "powerful" you want to make your characters.. this can make for some crazy attacks with abnormous amounts of HP and crazy damage done if you choose to spend a of time with the game. All in all it's a fun game; one worth playing, with a high replay value.



2. I am blown away with every Doublejump guide I buy. The amount of detail they cram into these guides is insane. You can tell the writers at Doublejump have a passion for the games they create guides for, and a deep understanding of those games as well.
   
   The presentation of this guide is excellent, as is every Doublejump guide. The paper feels thick, and the pages are colorful and easy to read. One thing I really appreciate is how they invert a section of the guide called "Spoilers" so you can be sure you won't flip a page and find out something you wish you hadn't!
   
   As another reviewer has already said, I now consider buying games if they have a Doublejump guide. The extra price is well worth it, if only all guides could be this complete and well written!



3. No really, they rock. Best strategy guides in the industry. Did I mention they rock?



4. This is a really, REALLY detailed guide - perfect for such a deep and addictive strategy game. It has just about everything you could need to really blast the game apart. Only niggling issue is - some of the print is quite small (the book is paperback size) and hard to read especially late at night when my eyes aren't at their best! Heartily recommended if you like the game and want to really get into it - I bought it from Australia and had to pay an extra $20 for freight, but it is still worth every penny at that price.



5. I read many guides before and they rarely tell me something I don't know, but this Gide for Disgaea 2 is not one of them. The guide is about as big as your average paper back, but it packs more then 600 pages, and two thirds of the book is tips, tables, facts and stats. The last third is a second walkthrough section but with spoilers and secrets, and it is also inverted (pages bound upside down) to lessen the chance of you ruining any surprises by opening up to the wrong page.
   
   I feel this is a worthy guide for anyone needing help or and extra edge in dominating the game.

1. This Book Is A Very Great Book! I Suggest You Buy It. Well It Is The Official Guide Book Isn't It?! It Has All The Infomation You Need Like Walkthroughs For The RPG And A Pokedex In The Back.



2. I'm getting the game Pokemon Colosseum and the Bonus Disk. As usual I get lost early in the game and Ta-Da!!! I reach for my Prima Strategy Guide and next thing you know I am playing the end of game extras. This is one Prima Strategy Guide not to be missed.



3. Prima used to make the best guide on the market for the Pokemon games. Their guide for Red & Blue was phenomenal, and their guide for Gold & Silver was really good, if a bit aggravating (They frequently wouldn't tell you what Pokemon certain trainers had), but since then the quality has gone way down with each guide, until you get to this piece of junk.
   
   Now don't get me wrong, this guide has its uses. But it's missing a lot of information and is filled with inaccuracies, especially with the trainer lineups. It's really handy to know what Pokemon the trainers you're facing will have ahead of time, but not when that information is innaccurate. Sometimes you get lucky and the only problem is that it's the wrong graphic (which happens seemingly every other page), but other times it says a trainer has a Pokemon that he doesn't. There are also some trainers that the guide doesn't even mention, as if they don't exist. The guide says to heal and save in this one part, but it neglects to mention that you have to face a trainer in order to do that.
   
   And don't get me started on the battle reccommendations. There a few lines about what moves to use under each trainer's box, but this information is just plain wrong half the time. It tells you that a certain type is effective against certain Pokemon when it's not. To get a bit technical, if you send out a fire-type Pokemon against a Lombre like the guide says you should in several places, then you deserve to lose that Pokemon to Surf.
   
   Still, it isn't completely useless. The trainer information is handy when it's accurate, and there's a complete Pokedex in the back that has all the moves for all the Pokemon you can get within the game. The listing of items near the back is useless, though, because it doesn't tell you where to get those items, which is especially maddening for the TM's.
   
   Because it does have its uses, I rate it a 2 out of 5.



4. Prima's guide for Pokemon Colosseum isn't nearly as good as the other guides. However it does give tips on the pokemon trainers you have to battle. What level they are at, type, and prize money. Which you don't get from Nintendo's guide. If just the tip on the pokemon trainers this guide is good, but for everything else Nintendo's walkthrough is alot better.



5. Well written book that will either take you through step by step or give you a nudge in the correct direction for if you are not sure what is the right way. Easy to read and very helpful.

1. Ok, for one thing I agree that you might not need a stradegy guide for it but if you like to use them like me I sugest this stradegy guide! But they could of added some stuf the guide is pretty short but the game is pretty short too expecially for what you had to pay for it before 50.00!!!!!!!!!! Also i very recomend FF10.



2. This guide isn't bad but it is missing some key info.
   
   1. Left out some item location. a few item locations were left out. While they are not that important, that shouldnt happen at all.
   
   2. Did not provide repsond for each character. Through out the game you can email you party member to gain GP. The proper respond allows you to gain extra points.
   
   3. Did not cover enough on the very important Monsieur and Grandpa sidequest.
   
   Other than that the guide has everything you would need about this game.



3. Being new to the .Hack series, I have found the guide extremly helpful in pointing out few tips and pointers to help you with the game.
   
   Anyone wanting to know Monster Stats, Item, Weapon and Trading Lists will not be disappointed, plus the excellent Grunty raising guide which provides you with High Level Weapons and Items very early on in the game!.
   
   Overall a very satisfying guide!

4. This book was definitely helpful in a lot of ways. I did notice that there were some things that it did omit, but in a way that's a good thing. You can go through the game yourself this way and do a bit more exploring than the book goes through, so you can find things on your own. Over all this is a good buy.



5. this guide was everything I needed it for. The dungeon maps and the lists of the different items I could get and where and from what have come in handy many times as I have played the game. Also, my main goal for the first time i play the game is to get thru the story to unlock the movies and so on.... this guide has so far helped me to do just that....
