- I received the book I bought quickly. The book really helped my husband get over a really hard part of Tak. I will be buying him the second book for Christmas. It was inexpensive and again it came rather quickly.

5 comments about Silent Hill (Prima's Official Strategy Guide).
- Hey where are the secrets in this book? How to see the UFO, the hyper blaster and the sword. This book dosen't even list them.
- This is a great guide it tells you everything that's in the game. It also tells you how to get a perfect score, I recommend you get this guide for Silent Hill because you're going to need it a lot!
- I fully agree with most other reviewers. The guide for this game has got to be the worst I've ever used. I definitely have the feeling that the publishers rushed through this project. Truly a shame as the game itself is the creepiest of the survival horror genre. There are a number of items the guide misses like extra weapons, alternative areas of exploration and an alternate ending. You'd do better downloading a guide for free from one of the many gaming sites.
- I got this hoping it would help with the puzzles. Now there must be at least 2 versions of the Silent Hill game. As this book only has 199 items listed as the total. and there are actually 204 + Hidden Items.
This guide helped through some basics but had bad info too. Like the turnstile puzzle it was wrong. It was NO HELP with the piano. And did not have full item & weapon lists. Like it did not even mention the Hammer which is like the most wicked thing in the world. The maps were totaly excelent. But alot of stuff wasent marked. Or was labeled in the wrong place. Like the steel pipe & some ammo & drinks ect. This book is great for maps and some tips but thats it. It only has 2 locations for the channeling stone. All in all this book is quite dissapointing =(
- A must have for anyone who likes the silent hill video games. weather your a collector or a die hard fan or jsut a confused first time player of this game this book is for you!

- This is a fun game. It does seem a bit short though. I'm right near the end. I do believe they start you with the wrong power as well. They should start you with the demon arm IMO. Worth buying though!
- The guide was very straight forward. The ony thing was I had acces to collectables in Chapter 1 that weren't revealed until later chapters in the guide, otherwise most everything was straight forward.
- I recieved the game book in excellent shape and thank you for wonderful and fast service..

2 comments about Jak 3 : Piggyback's The Official Guide.
- this guide is awesome i bought it 3 weeks ago it tell you exact info on every mission were to find all 600 precurser orbs and were the orbs on the mini missions orbs are the drawings are awesome!!!!!! they even show how jak would look like in jak 2 with his new powers this guide is so good there is no more words for it but awesome get this game guide now!! it helpful too
- In this day and age, a guide as detailed as this is fairly hard to come by. Guides, recently have been lacking in the areas where they need the most strength. They need walkthroughs and basics with detailed screenshots and maps. Every now and then you really do get that decent strategy guide (like say... the BradyGAMES Kingdom Hearts Guide), but often you don't (like the Tales of Symphonia guide--see my review).
Thank goodness that across seas there is Piggyback Interactive. They don't release too many guides in America, but when they do you're glad to have 'em! Nothing but the best information straight from the pros, with crystal-clear high rez screenshots and some of the most alarmingly detailed maps you could find! For their Jak 3 guide, they've more than outdone themselves.
The guide opens up with a little talk about characters (and you'll see little blurbs pop up with Daxter "commenting" on these characters and whatnot), giving you some background information on them.
We then break into the near 30 page game basics section. There has never been a strategy guide that has been so useful and helpful in getting you acquainted with the game. From telling you the basic controls to getting you able to use the vast set of weapons in Jak 2. There are also advanced tips for advanced gamers, and that's one of the things that Piggyback is useful for. The expert AND the beginner will get a use out of this guide!
After the gamebasics you'll jump into the 100 page walkthrough! That's right, 100 pages of in-depth strategy, high rez screenshots and detailed maps. These maps aren't just handrawn maps either. They come STRAIGHT from the developers so you KNOW they're detailed! Beautifully rendered for your convenience and clearly marked with notes that will show you what to do. Think of how Nintendo Power writes their guides with the A B C. This guide is 1 2 3, and it works in divine ways. This makes the guide more organized several times over! No more reading the entire walkthrough just to find out what to do. And what's better? They actually tell you which screenshot you should look at! For example: If you can't understand what's in the text they'll have in nice little parenthasis (See Fig. 1). Now look at screenshot 1 and you'll know exactly what they're talking about! Never has a guide been so clear and concise.
The strategies detailed are not just from developers, but also from experts. If you've seen any other piggyback guide (which for most of you will have been Halo 2, unless you import) you know they love to play through an area hundreds of times until they find the best route possible! It is no different here, and they're willing to share those secrets with you! And if you think that's boss, check out those boss strategies. More than just two paragraphs, they take up the entire page and leave no stone unturned.
Following the walkthrough is an enemies list that will tell you all you need to know about them including how fast they are, how big and how many hit points they've got! Plus, insane secret beat down tactics!
Speaking of secrets... this guide is chalk full of them. With over 25 pages worth of secrets, what have you to lose? Want to find all the Precursor Orbs? You'll do it with this guide. How about all those nifty bonus challenges? Revealed! How about the precursor alphabet? It's in here too! Not one secret left out, and not stone left unturned!
Following all those secrets is the making of Jak 3. And not just the making of Jak 3, but the making of the entire Jak series starting with its cold roots back in the early days with "Jak and Daxter". You'll get so much info out of the developers themselves. Incredible!
And lastly is the index. Yes, there is an index, and trust me, you'll WANT this thing! How many times are you tired of searching through the guides enemy list or you can't remember where to find that secret? Well, instead of fishing through those sections skimming every page... why not just head to the index? If every strategy guide had an index, page flipping would be less of a hazard (and the paper cut ratio might go down, even!).
And if those maps are confusing, there is a fold-out legend so that you no longer will have to constantly flip to a legend. Just fold it out and set your guide down and you're all set to go!
So when is a strategy guide actually worth the outrageous price tag? When you actually get everything from it. Friends, this isn't just a strategy guide, it's an ENCYCLOPEDIA! Is this worth shelling out the money for? YES! Totally worth it!
So strap yourself into Jak 3 and use this as your navigation tool. No stone left unturned, no secret left out. Everything you need for Jak 3 is right here!

4 comments about .hack Part 4: Quarantine Official Strategy Guide.
- Being a big fan of the .hack games, and wanting to make sure I got everything, I bought the guide. While the walkthrough is superb, and information pretty decent, there are a few flaws that bring down the book.
There are quite a few typos and misspellings throughout the guide, and I found a few pages were information wasn't all correct. Also, this guide only covers aspects from this game, so if you need detailed information for Grunty Races, Bestiary, etc for other games, you'll probably end up getting the other guide. Probably the biggest flaw is the E-mail combos. They are correct, but Elk and Mia's combos are missing. In addition to the combos for all of the extra characters that you earn after beating the game. There is also errors with the new Grunties, as they misplaced information on one of them. Despite the fact that you'll have to go online to look up some information, the guide is still worth the buy. It is still useful and informative. And it certainly helped me when I played through the game.
- This isn't the first time, and I doubt it will be the last, where I point out that an excellent strategy guide is wasted on the game. In this case it depends on whether you entered the series at Part 4, or if you have been playing all along and started right out with a very high or maxxed out level. For high ranking characters, .hack//QUARANTINE is something of a cakewalk and play will be pretty linear. In that case, the guide will help you find some of the secrets, but there is nothing difficult enough to merit the guide's blow by blow support.
If you are new to the game the reverse is true. Each time you play the main story line you are going to find yourself facing some pretty fierce opposition. In this case, the guide is a game-saver. There arfe maps, combatant suggestions, and very detailed discussions of each of the bosses. And some other valuable tidbits as well. In this case the guide is well worth the price. This guide is in exactly the same format as the previous guides in this series. Well made and illustrated, it will stand up to the frantic pawing which is the usual approach when you are in the middle of battle and out of your depth. It won't make the struggle any easier, but you will at least understand why you are getting pummeled. There are a couple of errors, but nothing that will interfere your progress.
- All the .hack games are short -- very short. So why get the strategy guide? Because "The World", where most of the plot in the game comes from, is vast. So vast that a strategy guide 4 time this size might be able to hold all the maps, items and everything. So why is it missing so much? Because it focuses on only the plot related zones and boasts that it has a "secret" zone. The fact is the combination of servers and keywords is unfathomable! And after the end of the game, every last one should be available. You might as the question, why would I want to go back to level 3 zones? Well, for completionists, that is very important because the Ryu Books of 1000 log so very much, and most importantly, how many zones you have completed (unlocked all the monster portals).
Perhaps I have just been spoiled by books like Star Ocean's strategy guide, but I find this guide to be a joke, because much more "complete" information about .hack is available online for FREE!
- Another really awesome game!!! I love how the whole thing works and just everything about it. The guide has its idiosyncrasies. ^_^;;; However, its great to have around! I know I would be lost without it. ^_^

- This is an excellent book but unfortunately it was not the one that i needed. However when I told amazon this they very kindly refunded me the cost. I consider that the service from amazon is first rate and I would definitely use them again.
- A little confusing, many pictures are to dark and hard to see, but info helps to manuever through. I would have been lost without it.

1 comments about Maximo Vs Army of Zin: Official Strategy Guide.
- Maximo vs. Army of Zin is a tough game to master so you might need a leg up. Unfortunately BradyGAMES doesn't quite give you the boost you need all the time and while you can find everything, you'll have a heck of a time trying to find it using this walkthrough.
The guide begins with character bios and a short introduction. Then it goes into the "Knight School" section which will teach you everything you need to know about the game including the differences in difficulty levels. It gives you all the combos for all the weapons and prices for new combos and such which is good. But beyond that the walkthrough is the problem. It'll get you through the game but the way its composed and presented doesn't always work. They begin with a 3D level map pin-pointing out items, telling you how many enemies, secret chests and innocents are in a level. But then the walkthrough begins with its text and thats when you notice a few things. For one, this walkthrough paces very slowly, focusing on some things that have no meaning in the walkthrough. Second, there are a lack of screenshots in this guide. Some things it tries to explain but then there's no screenshot to illustrate what the author is trying to say. At least the walkthrough is well written in the aspect that the author is talking to you and not babying you. The guide WILL help you master the game 100% but you have to be willing to work at a level slowly. The guide points out optional chests and tells you what's inside. When it comes to innocents, however, the guide is helpful but slow. If you are going to use this guide its one of those games where if you need some help you have to pause it... if you don't an innocent might be killed. If you need the leg up this is a great guide to buy. It'll even tell you what the point to mastering all those levels are and the guide has no spoilers so it isn't bad. But the lack of screenshots and slow moving detail in the walkthrough make it so that you spend more time reading the walkthrough than playing the actual game.

2 comments about Summoner 2 (Prima's Official Strategy Guide).
- Overall the summoner 2 strategy guide is not a bad guide, but doesnt cover everything. When I buy a stategy guide I want it to have everything not just most of it.In this book there are no strategies for fighting bosses, no strategies for certain areas, and I have found several errors (10+). But the quest guides are extremely helpful ( most of the time). It doesnt even tell you how to build up your characters either (which to me is the most important part of the game!!).
- ...only because of the help from this guide. I got stuck on more that one level in this game, and the well written guide was the only thing that kept me moving forward. The author definitely played through the game and it results in a very good guide.

5 comments about Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Official Strategy Guide.
- I think this is a very good help in the game . Befor I got it I didnt know what to do at the deku palice . I was stuke for more than 2 YEARS!! :( . After five weeks of haveing it I was almost at the end!IT REALY HELPED!!!!!
- This is a pretty good guide. It shows accurate but confusing maps, how to find all of the heart pieces and items. It has a lot of typos though, and is an ok guide for beating the game. I myself haven't beaten the game yet, but I bought it in May 2002! Before I bought this guide I had the game for a couple of months and I didn't even know how to get to the first temple.
But this all changed on March 13, 2003 when I beat this game, All thanks to this strategy guide. I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5, and the title for my review from "pretty good guide" to exellent guide!!!" If you love this great N64 game and want to beat it You really have to get this guide. After I think about it, the maps aren't confusing at all, and there are hardly any typos.
- I hated this guide. It is misleading, the maps stink even though the 3-D looks cool. I had to buy another guide. The only good part about this guide was the appendixes. But this guide frustrated and confused me so much I thought this game was impossible to beat! DO NOT BUY THIS GUIDE!
- You could use this guide and get through the game, but I wouldn't pay more than $10.00 to get it. This book is FULL of typos. The enemy description page is loaded with them. The maps are also confusing. If you can figure out your way from the maps, and you can read them and stuff, I suppose it's worth the money. I would highly suggest looking at it before spending any money on it however.
- This guide rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You cant play the game without it. I couldnt beat the game but I beat it, with this guides help, in 1 day. If you dont like this guide I dont like you.
