1. The directions are very confusing...
   The subjects covered are unneeded and repetative...
   The ride/shop lists are impossible to navigate...
   The directions for the Scenarios are completely useless (especially La La Land, which I haven't been able to complete)...
   
   So, the verdict is...
   Don't buy this guide. It's horribly done and is a waste of money...



2. now for some people this book might be confusing because there so used to there little colering books but in truth this is a really good guide even though it does repeat it's self alot but thats just to make sure those people who dont grasp stuff on the first go get in the end. I haven't read the part that tells you how to beat the game so i cant really rate it but as for the rest of the book it does go much deeper into the other aspects then the manual did and the ride and atractions chapter is very helpful for pricing right. I read this thing in two days just to see what I got out of it and I noticed that I didn't get board and just walk away like I always did with the games manual which was good cause i did learn some really valuable stuff.
   
   so here's the summery:
   
   Pros: easy to read, good info, cheats, a walkthough, and free downloads for things like coasters and building.
   
   Cons: None really altough he repeats himself alot but thats about it.
   
   Final Thought: A good buy for those who are having some trouble or just like knowing it all.



3. My husband and I are rollercoaster tycoon fanatics and this guide was extremely helpful. We learned a lot about building coasters and parks. I would definately recommend this book to anyone who plays the game as it will give you great insight on how to improve your parks.

1. There are some games that pretty much play themselves. As far as primary objectives go, Beyond Good and Evil is one of them. The game is good, but the puzzles are relatively uncomplicated for a stealth based game, and fighting is just as straightforward. In this context, it's fair to ask what purpose a strategy guide serves. Sarcasm aside, the top answer has to be that it is a cool souvenir.

   Well, there are some other things. The walkthrough will get you photos of all the creatures needed for the subquest, and that is an important source of early game cash. Since there aren't dependable sources of income that is a valuable service. Ditto for making sure you find all the pearls lying about. But, for the most part, this is a well-written, intelligent guide for a game that doesn't need one.

   Oddly enough, this is one of the best practical guides I've seen this year. It sticks to providing a clear, timely walkthrough with a minimum of fluff, fan service shots of Jade, or extended biographies of momentary characters. The big, overdone 300 page monstrosities that pass for strategy guides should only be this good. Whether you want this guide will depend on if you really want to accomplish everything there is to accomplish. If you do, then this guide really will help you track down those last elusive clues.




2. it's overall a very good game with a good story all the way through. as you sneak and battle through countless maps to uncover a conspirisy that has lasted year's. I think this would be a five star game if it were not for the ultra hard boss leading to the worst end sequence ever...

1. I had purchased this with the idea that it would help with my Game Boy Advance SP Spiderman 3 game, but it doesn't. It helps with Playstation 2 and 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo WII, and Computer Entertainment Systems. I plan to get a Playstation 2 soon so hope it helps when I buy Spiderman 3 for that. I gave it a 1 because it's not what I needed but was given the impression it was, and I don't have the ability to rate it for the systems it was published for.

1. This one is one of Prima's top guides. It is very well put together and it did exactly what I buy guides for: To help me when I am really really stuck.

   The amount of information in this book really is staggering. There are individual profiles for just about every character in the game, right down to their blood type!

   But what really makes this guide great is the vast amount of extras! From strategies for the arcade games, to a complete list of the mini-collectibles, this guide is loaded. It also includes a very clever "sealed section" which I greatly appreciated.

   The bottom line is that if you like Shenmue, this is the ultimate companion




2. I've had a lot of issues with Prima not delivering a guide with all the info that it could of had. Prima's guides frequently do not deliver all but the bare essentials and can be poorly put together, but the Shenmue Official Strategy Guide does not follow tradition. From start to finish, the guide is absolutely packed full of information regarding the game and solutions to the many puzzles within it. Full, complete, well designed color pages document each event as it should happen with exact date, time and location, along with full color screen shots. It also includes complete index's of all the bonus items you can collect throughout the game and where to obtain them, as well as a full index of all note-entrys that can be imputted into Ryo's journal. As well, it features complete biographys taken from Shenmue Online, that include virtually every single individual you see in the game, regardless of weither you're ever able to interact with them or not. This is not a guide to pass up, and even if you're not one for cheating, it's virtually impossible to see all there is to see in Shenmue without this kind of a guide. A must have.



3. This is a great strategy guidebook for SHENMUE. It really covers a lot of information in the game. I've already played SHENMUE all the way through and I thought i had covered everything in the game. Wrong! There is a lot that I misssed! There were things in the game that you could get that I just didn't know about. For instance you can win a couple of Sega Saturn games as prizes for Ryo's Saturn at his house!

   I recommend you to read this book after you've already gone through SHENMUE at least once. You'll be suprised at how much you may have missed. It may even make SHENMUE even more rewarding the second time around.

   If you loved SHENMUE as much as I did, then this book is a must have!




4. this game has a five star graphics, gameplay, and plotline. the graphics are like real people. the fighting scenes are great. in this game you can go to an arcade and play those games!! the plot is great and if fun to go to the city and get info and find all this stuff about the murder of ryo's father's death! this is a must bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



5. Really good. I bought this after I beat the game. And used it to find all the "Side Events" and extras. Its good for people that want or need help during the game and for people that want to find the extras etc. One cool thing is that in the back you can see ALL the characters in Shenmue and it has a little description on them. So its good. Very good walkthrough book. Definately worth the money.

1. This book is one of the best I have ever seen. I only wished I had picked it up when I still had the chance. If you plan on playing the 7th guest and not having this book right at your side.....I hope you are planning on devoting your life to this game...cause it will take you that long. This book also gives you information you can't get anywhere else. This is one of the best, well thought out, in-depth books you will ever (not)find. The walk thru's are detailed and easy to follow. A must have for any serious gamer.



2. Don't waste your money. The point of a "puzzle" game is to solve the puzzles using your brainpower. Strategy guides in general are more helpful for strategy-style games (SimCity, etc). In this case, itis just giving you solutions.
   Besides, it's not really necessary. The Game is NOT that hard to play. Anybody who says you'd have to "devote your life to it" must not be trying very hard at all. I completed the game in a reasonable time span and still replay it from time to time.

1. So far, this guide has been everything it's supposed to be. EXCEPT:
   
   Mission 6: City Museum. They neglected to mention the MAP. If you don't find The Map on the pillar/column, you'll only get the Silver Level badge. You need this map to get the Gold Shield for this level. Worse yet, it's a tough level, and having to repeat can be THE SUCK.
   
   The Map is on a Pillar/Column to the right of the stiarcase where the hanging security guard is. If you've gone up that staicase and over to the Information Desk/News TV, then you've missed The Map. You'll need to go back down the stairs. As you approach The Map, you'll be prompted to Investigate, So hit the proper button, and you'll begin the Investigation Sequence. (It Involves Rosa and the whole bit)
   
   You'll need to scan the Map, submit the proper Information: MEDIEVAL TOOLS 13A. This location will be added to your GPS and you'll get a PERFECT. So if you follow the guide as is, plus add this step, then all the commotion of this level will be a one time event.
   
   Remainder of the Guide has been very nice, providing insight into the Chain Attacks, Environmental Kills, all of which are confusing at first, then become a fun edition to the game. The guide just helps you reach the fun part a little quicker.
   
   You'll also get the lowdown on Multiplayer and the five "Fight CLubs" you'll unlock as you play the game. You'll get the breakdowns of which Mele weapons to use etc.
   
   So it's effective, just not thorough.
