5 comments about World of WarCraft Dungeon Companion, Volume 2 (Official Strategy Guides (Bradygames)).
- As numerous others have pointed out, print products age very quickly when related to an online game. If you are serious about raiding, skip this and download/install Atlas Loot Enhanced and Deadly Boss Mods. Read up on bosskillers.com and get the phat lewtz. This product is superfluous but nice if you want to read while offline i suppose.
- Our guild was preparing to start raids in Kara and we needed information on how to fight the bosses. None of us had ever been in there, except maybe to replace someone for a boss fight. This guide has helped our group get a complete clear. When someone suggests doing something else other than the guide it seems to fail most of the time. The successes we have had were when we followed the advice in the guide. This is a great guide for all of the instances with burning crusade including the heroic dungeons. A HUGE Help! I highly recommend.
- If you spend a lot of time, as I do, researching as you play. You will find this extremely helpful before you get in a dungeon and get ganked.
- If you play a tank, this is a must have! If you play a DPS or a healer, you can pass it for now.
- It's good. Highly glossed pages. Lots of info in it but.. it wasnt exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a layout of the dungeons in more detail.. all secrets exposed. I just found an overview here and not the strategy edge I was seeking.

5 comments about Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility Official Strategy Guide (Bradygames Strategy Guides).
- I love the game. Almost as good as he melody one (just smaller). Have wasted an entire evening in farming world. But, it is very enjoyable escapism and this game offers some interesting new twists like growing rice! Yeah!
- This was my first experience writing a guide for print, as opposed to the internet. It was rather exciting to work with the publishers on an actual book as opposed to the internet guides that I am able to update as needed but which lack the sophistication of a Brady Guide. I hope that players will enjoy both the guide and the game. 'Tree of Tranquility' for the Wii is an incredibly detailed game that allows you to play a 'second generation' game as your own child. All Harvest Moon fans as well as those who have not played any Harvest Moon games previously should be very happy with this game. Your character can be either a boy or a girl. You can choose the gender of your child and thus play the opposite gender in the next generation game. Exotic animals that you can raise include ostriches and silkworms as well as the usual range of livestock and poultry. The plot is quite detailed as well.
- EVERYONE be warned before buying this game!! Natsume made a horrible glitch when translating the game and now one of the characters is unmarriageable. Also, if you get that character to a certian affection leve3l you will not be able to beat the game becuase of the glitch. BE WARNED BEFORE BUYING
- I really love the harvest moons, and this one is a very complex version. I havent played it for a long time yet, but highly suggest that you buy the guide. It has so many things to learn, that you need the book to play.
- I just got this today and its quite colorful, really nicely laid out and loads of cute pictures.
It is, unfortunately, not as helpful as I was hoping it would be. I thought that the faqs on gamefaqs[...] were more helpful and more interesting to read. That's just probably because of my age group though :( since I found the writing to be really formal and a little dry. But it was informative. In fact, its kinda like reading my biology book for class Oo; Go figure.
I wish there were a little bit more detailed information - a lot of it is general overview. For example there's a great section about wild animals - but it doesn't list what the wild animal's favorites food are :(
Also, this isn't the author's fault at all - but there's a good number of miniscule mistakes in it as well. oO; mismatched images [...].
Freyashawk includes a lot of really great hints though that I find handy :) What this guide has a LOT A LOT A LOT of are lists. Which is good - if you're a list person. :) Since I'm a really visual person, I'm glad that I did purchase the guide. If you're not a [...] for pictures and you want little hints or information - you'll be quite well off sticking to gamefaqs. :)
As for me, I'm quite happy with my guide. I sure could use more pictures though! :D haha, but that's just personal preference really [ and in all honesty - this guide has a lot of graphics anyways I just want more :D ].

4 comments about Lego Batman: Prima Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides).
- I recommend NOT wasting the money on this guide. It seems only half-finished with very vague descriptions of the different character and item uses. The guide may help you get through minor areas of the game, but it does nothing that a few moments of game-play problem solving wouldn't help. The maps are helpful, but as far as percentage-completion is concerned you're better off finding a walkthrough online- it would be far more accurate and thorough. While I'm certainly not looking for "cheat codes" I would appreciate it if the information in this guide was at the very least detailed and correct. For example, it would be better if it read "In order to unlock this character, you must complete X,Y,Z" or give accurate descriptions of each character's abilities (in at least three cases, we found that these were incorrect or too vague to be useful - i.e. Catwoman has the ability of security clearance, but at which points specifically?). This guide is absolutely not worth the money to purchase it. If a particular point confounds you it would be a better use of your time to simply google the level on which you are stuck.
- ign.com has far better guides for free. The guide is too vague and sometimes the photos and descriptions do not even match the scene -- It is like they wrote the guide using an alpha or beta version of the game and only had a few days to complete the project.
It adds a little to the game but was not much help when I needed it.
Not well laid out -- making it extremely difficult to find information in a hurry. It was easier to use free, online guides or just keep trying different things rather than waste time trying to find the information in this guide.
Grade of C at best.
- It has helped me so much with the hidden LEGO canisters you don't normally see in plain site!!!!
- This guide helped us find every thing we needed to complete the game at 100%. Lego Batman has been the best game in the series to date.

3 comments about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Prima Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides).
- Pros:
- Has good info on what/where each holocron is.
- Provides good character profiles.
- Provides short story line to better tie in The Force Unleashed with Star Wars III and IV.
Cons:
- The guide is very hard to follow when trying to proceed through a level. You get easily lost when using this guide. As you proceed down a path, you're not sure what part of the level the guide is referring to. It's very ambiguous.
- There are no detailed maps as you follow the guide, just one simple no detail map at the beginning of each section. You have to keep flipping back to the map and try to figure out where on the map you are. This gets very frustrating as you try to proceed.
- No best route and alternant route information.
- The screenshots in each section are hard to see and don't help. It's very hard to connect the screenshots to your screen. They are a complete waste of space and add no value. Detailed map inserts would have been a better use of this space.
- Although I listed Holocron locations above as a pro, the guide is frustrating to use as it guides you to them. The info and direction the guide provides is vague.
- Has errors for what buttons to hit for some force combos for the PS3. For instance, it may list X, X, X, X for a particular combo, the actual button may be square.
All and all, this is an ok guide, it helped me get some holocrons (although it was frustrating to use), but you really don't need it. The guide gives you generic advice and info on beating bosses that you could figure out yourself.
- star wars TFU isn't the kind of game that needs a guide. It's completely linear (except for one choice at the very end, which just changes the ending cutscene [and you can just restart from the last checkpoint to see both of them.]) The guide doesn't help explain anything you couldn't figure out easily on your own. It's not like, say, Oblivion or KOTOR where a guide can help you work with the game mechanics (guilds, quests, skills etc.) to make your character cooler without outright cheating. TFU's powers are simple button combo's that are displayed onscreen in the menus. Essentially all this guide has are step-by-step walkthroughs of the (fairly small, completely straightforward) levels, showing you precisely where all the power-ups are. (There's only one type of useful powerup in the game, btw.) If that's your cup of tea, being led by the hand through a game, being told where EVERYTHING is, then this books for you. If, on the other hand, like myself, you call that cheating (seriously, how is that FUN?), and were looking for a book that would immerse you further in the experience, this ain't it.
- I had ordered the guide and also the game....the guide was delivered and in great condition....my complaint was that the game I had also ordered was not delivered and even though I have emailed both the sender and Amazon.com, I have not received an answer. The money for the game was taken out of my account on the 24th of September. Please try to help me on this matter. I have dealt with Amazon before and never had a problem. Thank you for your help. Sonia Terrell

1 comments about Gears of War 2 Signature Series Guide (Bradygames Signature Series Guides).
- The Bradygames guide for Gears of War 2 is a hefty and handy guide that will make a great companion to a great game. It is about 300 pages, which is pretty beefy for most FPS guides. It's broken up into several sections (COG training, COG armory, Locust databank, Campaign walkthrough, Multiplayer warfare, Multiplayer map analysis, and COG intel archive). The training, armory, and databank sections are all chock full of exposition about characters, weapons, and enemies. The campaign walkthrough lists out all the major encounters you'll have with enemies (along with strategies for defeating them). The multiplayer section is quite large and contains lots of info about all the game modes and maps. The intel archive has a list of collectibles that are scattered throughout the game, as well as achievements. Very handy. It's a beautiful guide with lots of large, clear photos. The layout is nice and easy to follow. Get it!

2 comments about Far Cry 2: Prima Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides).
- This guide has perfect describing the game and the map design was nice.
You need this guide along with the game and then finish the game completely. It's perfect guide.
- The Far Cry 2 strategy guide from Prima is excellent. It covers all platforms (PC, PS3, and 360). The level descriptions are very helpful in that they not only give suggestions on how to proceed, but they often give hints at the political climate within each mission. This serves to heighten the intrigue and tension of the game. The photos are clear and large. There is a lot of text to read through, so you don't come away scratching your head thinking "that's nice, but now what?" There are nice bios on all the characters. The weapons are all fully explained. The multiplayer options are gone over extensively. You can't lose with this guide.
