1. It was okay, I guess. It wasn't nearly as helpful as I thought it wounld be, but helpful nonetheless. It didnt provide the best pictures and information.

   As everyone already knows from reading the other reviews here, this guide contains a vast amount of errors in regards to the Photo Ops and Horseshoes. I don't think that BradyGames has published a corrected version, which they could offer in exchange for the flawed version. However, they have released corrected information on their website:

3. I agree with all the negative reviews on this page. The rest of the guide is awesome, but the locations of the Horseshoes, and Oysters are off, sometimes way off. I finally had to write down the places where they were so I would not forget. not much thanks to editors, but on the other hand, they made a great guide, sans the location maps.



4. in my opinion brady games strategy guides are far better than prima game guides, brady games covers all of the game not just parts of the game, i will not buy any prima guide anymore, it just doesent cover what im looking for in a gmae guide, this guide HAS everything you need to know about the game, EVERYTHING, thank you brady games

1. This guide is required reading for any gaming fan of Marvel Ultimate Alliance who wishes to find everything but does not wish to invest significant time.



2. The cinematics in this game are fantastic.
   However the characters in the game are to small.
   The camera angles are disapointing. The same way with some of the sports games. Camera angles are important in any game! Camera angles need to be on the ground level with the characters.



3. This is, as always from Bradygames, an excellent strategy guide. From trivia questions to cheat codes, this one has them all. The only thing not included? Which X-Man to kill at the end of Mephisto's Realm (and yes it does matter.) Hint: Don't kill the one who's known to come back from death.



4. This is an excellent game guide book with everything you would need to 100% complete the game. I am disappointed that the pages began pulling away from the binding within a few days of light use. Now, whole sections of pages are falling out as if the binding dried out. I guess I am stuck with it!!



5. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is filled with hidden items, choices that change the story and puzzles that take some serious thought. This guide will help you not only get through the game and save the Marvel Universe, but it will teach you a few little known facts about Marvel comics (which will also help you get some serious XP). I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to see and do everything this great game offers

1. I thought that this game was great. I was at first a little worried that I would not be able to get the controls figured out, but I did and that was not hard at all. I just love the game cause it had a great story line and sometimes I just need to remove stress and so it is fun just to shoot around.



2. A great guide from Brady Games as usual... helps find those nice unlockables that aren't listed in the manual...



3. It's great game, the CG cut scenes and the music during the entire game is pretty good, some of it has an almost Matrix feel to it.
   If your a collector of the series check out the collectors edition of the game. Jody Bissoon



4. Always pleased with Bradygames strategy guides, and this is no exception. Very helpful, step by step, color photos, just great all around



5. The walkthrough in this book is very thorough and is just about neccessary in order to get all of the memory capsals, some are insanly hard to find without the book. It does not contain any of the extra missions, but this is a slight oversight. Any FF fan will enjoy getting the most out of this game having the book, definant buy.

1. I'll make this review short and to the point, for those of you who are already familiar with the games and seeking a Pokedex to make your life easier as you play through Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. Here's a rundown of this guide, its qualities, and its shortcomings.
   
   THE GOOD:
   
   -VERY EXTENSIVE IN ITS INFORMATION. This guide doesn't just list and picture the Pokemon, you also get evolution charts, lists of the attack the Pokemon learns, stats, and even the learnable TM/HM moves. Locations of the creatures in Pearl and Diamond are also included.
   
   -DOESN'T JUST COVER THE SINNOH POKEDEX. This guide covers each region's Pokedex and the various Pokemon from each region you'll be able to get your hands on after you beat the Elite Four, both in your own game and that you're able to trade from others. There are detailed entries here for Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh Pokemon alike.
   
   -A LIST OF EVERY ATTACK IN THE GAME AND ITS FUNCTION/TYPE/EFFECT/ETC. This is very handy to have around as you progress through the game and have to make decisions regarding what attacks you choose to keep, and which ones you don't.
   
   -PICTURES FOR ALL REPRESENTED SPECIES. You get art for each Pokemon featured in the guide, as well as an in-game screenshot for both the male and female forms, if applicable.
   
   THE BAD:
   
   -NOT ALL OF THE POKEMON ARE INCLUDED HERE. The title says ALL of the Pokemon are featured here, and that's a lie. The three "event" legendaries of the Pearl/Diamond generation, Shayman, Darkrai, and Arceus, are inexplicably excluded from this guide! I'm appalled that these Pokemon were not included here, especially considering this guide is supposed to cater to the Pearl/Diamond generation.
   
   -NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION ON HOW TO GET NON-NATIVE SPECIES. For the Pokemon that you'll have to import from an older game, the guide gives NO INFORMATION on how to get these in their respective games. Instead, they simply say "import at Pal Park." That's it. No additional information. If you want to learn where to get them in their respective old games, too bad. You're going to have to dig out your old guides.
   
   -NO PICTURES PROVIDED FOR THE SHINY VARIANTS. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have pictures of these rarer versions of the creatures provided.
   
   THE VERDICT:
   
   If you're a big-time Pokemon gamer and you want a detailed list of species, this is a handy guide to have, but it's plagued by its shortcomings. If you can find it on sale for a good price, go for it, but don't shell out full retail for it.



2. This book is pretty straightforward. It is a pokedex... It has all the pokemon from the game. THe index in the front is handy. I can't find any fault except the print is microscopic...



3. My son loves it, he can look up all of the pokemon cards he already has



4. The product was in brand new condition and exactly what I was looking for. Extremely satisfied!!



5. My son loves this book, he is now the hero amongst his Pokemon friends. The book is printed on high quality papers and easy to use to flip through the pages. Excellent value all round.

1. A nice strategy guide for an excellent game.
   
   The strategy guide is very informative, and makes sure that nothing is missed through the story-line of the game - with two exceptions. At a certain point, the story moves on to a new area of the game and it never goes back to the previous section. While the book does say to finish the tasks in the first section, it doesn't say that you will never have the opportunity to come back.
   
   The other exception is an event where Zack (the main character) has to save a boy's mother from a fire. But this event will only happen if you have completed another task and reported back to the boy. The book specifically says that there is no need to report back to the boy, but if you don't, you don't get the "fire event". I had to go back to a previous save when I realized what had happened.
   
   The above two exceptions are the only details that were deficient/incorrect though. The guide gives excellent instructions and tips for the rest of the story-line.
   
   The best part of the guide is the mini-strategies for the 300 missions in the game. There were no errors, and the strategies were accurate and helpful.
   
   The one big down-side of the guide, is the scant attention it gives to materia fusion. Part of it is the fault of the game itself, given that they made materia fusion so complex. But the guide could have shone here, by making it more understandable. However, it just provided explanations which were very basic, and difficult to understand. There was also a pull-out section that was nothing but horribly confusing. I had to get better instructions online. Even now, after I get the whole materia fusion thing, I still can't make head or tail of the pull-out fusion guide.
   
   Even so .. I did not regret getting the guide. Apart from the materia fusion let-down, it was otherwise an excellent guide. I would recommend it to other people, without a doubt.
   
   Oh, if anyone from Brady reads this ... you people have got to consider the over-40s people with your font-type sizes. I can't even see a lot of it with reading glasses, and have to resort to a magnifying glass. The over-40s demographic is fast being recognized as a major video-game consumer, so strategy guides are no longer the realm of "young eyes".

1. It is nice that you can depend on at least one good fun game on PS3,and this game has all the fun that the first in the series had, but updated nicely for the new console.



2. This is a well-edited, beautiful book; a real treat to look at. It's not really a must for playing through the game, but if you're one of those obsessed with 100% completion, don't think it twice. Besides, it will look great on your bookshelf.
   
   A real collector's item.



3. I got this (Ratchet & Clank Future) guide and game for my 15 yr old grandson, who loves the game and has found this guide to be of great help in locating quest areas and hidden items. The guide maps and instructions are very well done and is a good value for the price. I highly recommend this guide for those who desire to locate all of the hidden treasures and unlock additional items in the game.

5. I've been very pleased with all of BradyGames's previous Ratchet & Clank guides, but this effort lacks anything to make it worth recommending. The game itself is so straight-forward that there shouldn't be much need for a walkthrough, even for someone entering the R&C world for the first time (or, playing any type of video game for the first time, for that matter). So what I was hoping to find in this guide included better maps than there are in the game, and strategies for going beyond a basic play-through, i.e. tips on upgrading weapons most efficiently, playing through Challenge Mode "and beyond," and achieving Skill Points. Unfortunately, the maps in the guide are no more detailed than those in the game, and while they do call out the location of Gold Bolts and other hidden treasures, they really don't help all that much. When it comes to Skill Points, this guide is useless. It does give the cryptic descriptions that accompany the Skill Points in the menu-list (the descriptions that you get once you achieve the Skill Point), but the guide does not list any suggestions or strategies on how to achieve the Skill Points-- even in instances where the Skill Point requires that you affect a specific number of enemies, the guide doesn't even tell you that number. I ended up getting all the help and strategy I needed from internet message boards, and don't think I used this guide more than once or twice to help in playing/beating the game. This guide does include interviews with members of the Insomniac team that produced the game, but even those interviews ceased to be interesting after the 3rd or 4th person answered the same questions the same way as their coworkers did. Save your money! Chances are you won't need help on any part of the game that this guide covers; and you'll just end up online looking for answers to the things that this guide skips over.

5 comments about Digital Video Production Cookbook: 100 Professional Techniques for Independent and Amateur Filmmakers (Cookbooks (O'Reilly)).

1. I was looking for a video book that shows methods of filming ideas. Just searching I ended up with very complex cinephotographer books that contained tons of detail but too complex for casual person like myself. Just happended to stumbled across this book and was really surprised at the clear writing style and easy to understand images. For making a simple film project with no budget I thought this was the perfect book.
   
   If you are looking to improve your video skills or making a large student project, I would highly recommend this book. For the film student or professional these tips might be already covered in school. Many of the project require nothing special, just a standard video camera and basic editing software. This is a nice change from other books that almost require Adobe After Effects to produce a good special effect.
   
   Overall I really enjoyed this book and will keep this in my video bag to spark any ideas I might need during filming.



2. There are a view techniques described in this book that might come in handy someday, but the descriptions are not particularly thorough. The bottom line: this will make a good coffee table book but don't expect to learn too much.



3. I read through the book which was very informative, form ohh so thats how and TV never really was the same after. I have also tested out good part of it and got good resuslts. I would recommend it highly



4. Not bad, but I have read better. It does have a lot of good pictures of the effects they are teaching and all in all this book is not bad, there are just so many others that I feel are better. Check out The "DV Rebel Guide" by Stu something or other or "101 Digital Video hacks", both I feel are better than this.

I call it this because although it looked great: heavy stock glossy pages & pictures-under closer examination I was disappointed-perhaps after 12 yrs of "event" video i know more than i thought- staring out with lighting vs. equipment set me back right away-a separate more in depth section on actual software use would have helped too-I'm pretty good at imovie BUT not FCP or Avid- I assume those that are are already familiar with the basics & tech tricks-I would have sent it back since I was looking for more indie film info but will probably find it helpful for a community school class I'm giving-beginners new & advanced WILL find this book helpful though.

1. The Game Guide is a softcover, while the artbook is a hardback. A rather heavy hardback. So don't drop it on small animals or children.



2. This is what guidebooks should be. Informative, concise, and with a wonderful presentation. The art book is also fantastic. The only problem is the subject matter.
   
   Buying this book is like buying a guidebook to playing WAR (yes, the card game). Spore is terrible.
