  1. Complaints: * The pattern pieces are split up to fit in the book and many don't match up, leading me to guess widths and sizes. * Notch counts don't match up, which is a headache for anyone, especially beginners. * Very little information about the Amish doll history, and reasons for their particular colour choices. I am yet to finish my doll (haven't sewn a stich due to pure frustration) and I doubt if I will ever get around to it.

  2. I did not have a bit of trouble making the dolls. The patterns copied perfectly so that I could preserve the originals. There is not a lot of history about the dolls - but then I bought it for the patterns, not a history lesson. This book has a permanent place on my craft list!

  1. I don't dominate English very well, but I am very easy of understanding and of carrying out the projects that he explains, everything it is useful and easy of carrying out

  2. In a field with no published works on making fine doll furniture, this is a gem. Keep in mind that these plans are for 20-30 inch dolls. The basic information is explained, but some basic woodworking skills will be needed. The measurements are quite valuable and illustrated plans are good, and one should take note of the doll sizes that will match the scale. All the furniture plans are colonial reproductions. If time and care is taken using these plans, very fine heirlooms can be created for those little girls in the family.

  3. This book has those things that are very hard to find: excellent plans for doll-sized furniture and good instruction on how to make them.

  1. This is an awesome book. It challenges your skill of making, cutting, and folding paper airplanes.

  2. This is a great introduction to paper airplanes for the novice. The models range in complexity from easy to difficult, providing a challenge for both kids and adults. Best of all is a brief comparison of each model with specific models of actual airplanes, and a brief primer on flight principles. Taken together, this book is a great lesson in aviation, as well as a lot of fun.

  3. A clever Father's Day gift. I've made four airplanes, so far, and they all fly as promised. I'm looking for some wide open spaces with a launching hill and a slight breeze, then I can enjoy their true potential. The instructions are very easy to follow: grab--but don't wrinkle--a sheet of bond copy/typing paper, make mountain folds and valley folds, you'll see, have a ruler and pencil handy, and a sissors. A glue stick is called for from time to time--I didn't have one, so I used a small piece of scotch tape. Oh, yes, you can color them in a variety of patterns. Fun and educational (basic flight principles) and a great value at $7.95. And no, I am not related to the author nor a friend of the family.
