1. This is the best technical book that I've found for teddy bear making instructions. All the photographs throughout the book are in color with several to a page. Every single step is clearly photographed along with a sidebar that gives the equipment that is used for that step.
   
   Tools and equipment are photographed together on a page to show the real life size differences. Stitches are diagrammed and photographed as they are being done. Materials are photographed side by side so that the reader can see the differences. Stuffing is discussed with photos and the pros and cons of each type such as polyester, plastic pellets, kapok, steel shot, and wood wool.
   
   Assembling and jointing techniques are taught and all varieties are photographed step by step. Teddy features such as eyes and nose placement are taught and photos of the different varieties are shown as well as tips for successful teddy bear faces.
   
   There is a section on making miniature bears and the differences between miniature bears and larger bears that need to be taken into account. Teddy bear clothes, hats and accessories are shown with patterns to use.
   
   At the end of the book is a 27 page inspirational gallery of work from some of the leading teddy bear artists today. There are also three bear patterns and a miniature bear pattern that can be copied on a machine and printed out to use.
   
   This book is a delight to use. The photos are great and the bears are charming. I highly recommend it!

1. Quality of the book is good, but for me, the mostly stuffed fabric projects were not quite what I was looking for. I did get some ideas though which I may do in some other medium. Good resources section. Nice pictures.



2. I was very disappointed with this book. Very basic and no original ideas that made you want to do any of the projects. I found them to be old fashioned and behind in the times.

1. Out of all the bear making books that I have, this one is definitely the best as it contains patterns for really cute bears. It's probably not a book for complete beginners, more for those who have already made a bear or two and would like to develop their bear making skills.

1. Teddy Bear Century is a great general teddy bear resource with bear making basics. I make, and collect, collectible teddy bears and find myself referring back to this great book for different reasons time and again. I love the brief histories on the different teddy bear manufacturers that it contains along with the patterns from each era. It is a high quality book, as well, and will last for years as it has for me.

1. What a wonderful book! Most of the animals are in fake fur, which makes them look better than fabric. The animals are mostly farm animals, but the rooster, pig, and donkey will win your heart. There is a Scottie dog with long fur that looks absolutely real. The dolls are gorgeous and have details like a fake fur beard on grampa. There is a giant "TV horse" for children to sit on that is stunning, with beautiful colors and patterns for saddle and bridle. There is a squirrel that also looks real. I also love the furry bunny or puppy slippers and the long haired ape. Good instructions, wonderful things.
