  1. I wanted to let other buyers know-this book is a reprint of a collection of three other rubber stamping books:

making gifts with rubber stamps by sandra mccall

rubber stamp extravaganza by vesta abel

30 minute rubber stamp workshop by sandra mccall

NO WHERE does this state this on the cover OR online.

So, if you bought it online, like me, there is no way of knowing this is a reprint(absolutly NO new info in book).

I already own the other three books so I feel doubly tricked.

On top of everything else-the book is reprinted almost completely in black and white, with only a few color photos in the middle of the book AND they reprinted shortened versions of the instructions!

They should be ashamed to have put out this mess!

Save your money and buy one of the actual three reprinted books instead:(

    NO STARS!

  2. The publisher of all the books you list is the same publisher as the book Courtney Nolan edited. There is no mention of these other books in the byline but they are most certainly mentioned in the acknowledgments. Lots of books out there are repurposed from other books all by the same publisher. Obviously you were not aware of this.

  1. I am interested in interior decorations and recently I came across this book and I loved the ideas given in it. Really practical and implementable. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in interior decoration.

  2. This book offers great ideas for decorating with rubber stamps. Not only does it provide design ideas, but also instructions for creating your own rubber stamps, and different paint finishes for furniture and walls. Several different projects are included and are divided by "rooms". The ideas are clearly illustrated and easy to follow.

  1. If you are looking for ideas dealing with rubber stamps, this is the right book for you! It has so many different ideas, and different styles. You can't not find something fascinating. It's one of the best stamp books out there that I've ever read or came across. I highly recommend it!

  1. I will use this book as a resource.

Ms. Bawden does a great job of describing and illustrating different stamping techniques. She includes information on how to make your own stamps using different mediums such as cork, linoleum, polystyrene, fruits/veggies and sponges. She also instructs on how to choose and use pre-manufactured stamps and tools. She then uses them in many different projects which are very well photographed step-by-step.

The stamping that she does is concentrated on crafts for the home and decorating. She doesn't do anything with scrapbooks. Though she does show how to create beautiful and original cards and stationery.

I've already used a couple of her ideas and am excited to try more.

  1. I have been stamping for years, and I thought I knew it all. This book gave me some new ideas and techniques that I am eager to try, along with some new twists on some old ideas. Maria gives good basic information on tools and supplies. Her suggestion of mixing your own embossing powders, along with the recipies to make some wonderful combinations is quite novel. I had fun trying it, with great results. This book will inspire you to grab that heat gun and start stamping!

  2. This is a great book but for very different reasons than what I ordered it for. It goes a long way in helping you with all the inevitable details that one has to think of when one starts a business - for this I give High Praise. What I thought I was ordering was a book that went into the details of making professional "business type" stamps, the ones that are self inking (or not) - this book is fantastic if your looking to turn a hobby into a business - for they go to great lengths to prepare you for that. It is not the book to teach you to do it in an "industrial strength" manner. I wish you all a great adventure into this - I can be fun! And very rewarding!
    Kevin.

  3. Thought it would at least have some good card samples or tips on how to make great cards to gain that profit. Maybe i was expecting the wrong thing. But it doesn't have what I was looking for.

  4. This is a terrific book. I've read alot of Maria Narius columns over the years and her easy to uderstand style of writing comes through with flying colors. There's so many things explained that I questions for and more in all topics she covers.

  5. This book covers the business side of rubberstamping in just the way I needed. Other books tell you how to start a small/home business, but this one looks at it from the crafting and stamping angles. She explains the Angel Stamp policy, which I had trouble finding anywhere else. My only complaint is that I paid for expedited shipping and the book was shipped three days later than promised.
