5 comments about Familyfun Home: 200 Creative Projects & Practical Tips To Make Your Home Truly Family-Friendly.
  1. This is a great compilation of the projects that are in the Family Fun magazines. From outdoor fun to creative decorating for kid's rooms. I bought this for my wife as a present and she loves it and my 2 year old son packs it around with him constantly.

  2. I wanted to see the projects in this book before I bought it. Unfortunately, no book stores had it in stock. So I decided to buy it anyways. I'm so glad I did. It has lots of projects, how-to's and just loads of information. I think to myself, why didn't I think of that idea. It's really going to help me and my family get organized and ideas for redecorating!

  3. I purchased this book when we bought our first home. I have made many of the projects to fit our home and decorating style. The projects are easy, fun, and EXTREMELY useful!! Some of the ideas I have used with my 7 and 5 year old relatives as crafts that serve a decorative and practical purpose - they love to use what they made. Even my husband likes this book!

  4. I received this book for Christmas and I've already used it three times. My two year old son loves that he can be a "big boy" and do things all on his own (get his own snack, put his toys back in the right boxes, etc.). We're heading out today to get some more supplies today!

  5. I love this book. It has ideas for REAL families. Sometimes you flip through books and magazines that have decorating and organizing projects for some fictional family that must have way too much money, way too much time, and kids who don't behave like real kids. This is a very down-to-earth, realistic book of projects that are doable, affordable, and work for real people.

That being said, I really wish this book was in regular paperback or hardcover, not spiralbound. I hate that I have to worry about the pages tearing out. I expect to have this book a long time and I don't look forward to when the pages will inevitably start to come off the spirals. Please, FamilyFun, make the bindings of your books more practical!

  1. I am a huge Egyptophile and am always looking for new sources of quality pictures which I can use for different applications (body art, personal stationary, etc.) The pictures in this book are well-executed and the translucent pages really make them pop!

  1. I loved this butterfly sticker collection! I used the stickers over a period of a year or two, mostly on envelopes/correspondence and on gift packages. I'm always looking for beautifully detailed stickers suitable for adult use. I'm a mother and school teacher as well as an artist myself. I am a huge fan of letter writing (now called "snail-mail"! Sticker collections such as this one add a not often found personal touch of beauty.

1 comments about Snuggle And Learn Quilts For Kids (That Patchwork Place).
  1. I am always looking for ways to teach my grandchildren and at the same time give them something they will treasures. This book is just the thing to do that.

You make a quilt but at the same time teach the child to count, learn their colors, teach them table manners and learn about textures and shapes. The book begins with a 7 page section on preparation for the projects and contains such things as gathering supplies and selecting fabrics.

The projects themselves have a photo of the finished item and a paragraph about the quilt. Finished block and quilt size are also provided. A materials and cutting list is clearly written as is the instructions for making the blocks and putting it all together. Lots of graphics help make sure you understand the writing directions.

Templates are provided at full size and there are tips to be found throughout the book in bright green boxes. A 4 page sections gives you tips on finishing the quilt including label suggestions. A Gallery of quilts and a 2 paragraph bio of the author make up the last pages.

If you have a little one who needs to wrap up in grandma's love and learn at the same time, this is the book to get.

1 comments about Designs for Coloring: Flowers (Designs for Coloring).
  1. I loved the drawings but the book has only 4 or 5 different flowers that were repeated with different number of flowers on the page. Instead of putting more varity of flowers or the same flowers even but in different scenery, they just kept using the same few flowers and increased the number of flowers on the pages throughout the book. One flower on one page, the same flower duplicated on another, then quadrupled on another etc. throughout the book for the IDENTICAL 4 or 5 flowers which seems to be a little lazy.

  1. This is a great addition to any kids craft library.

The ideas a grouped by seasons. We haven't done any of these craft yet. We are having a hard time chosing one to start with! Lots of fun for years to come!

  2. The wife enjoys all kinds of crafts. When she saw this book she knew it would be a keeper. She enjoys working up things to make with the kids. It provides a lot of things we can make with the kids. A fun family time.

  3. In this book, they grouped the projects with nice symbols and by season to make it easier for you. There are Nature Projects, Back-to-School Projects, Bird Projects, Sport Projects, Pumpkin Decorations, and a whole lot more! The Cool Paper Book Covers in the Fall Season are a good project for kids (as well as a lot of other projects for kids). My favorite project in the book are the heart embellished Valentine Day cards. I haven't made any of those projects yet, but I am sure I will have so much fun making them! :-)

  4. We are enjoying tthis craft book. Lots of fun ideas to do with the kids!!

  5. I am still trying to figure out where the 501 crafts are in this book, considering there are only 224 pages. The photos and projects that are included are colorful and beautiful, but not practical. I'd have to make a few trips to the store to purchase the materials needed for these projects. Better to subscribe to a magazine like "Pack-o-fun" or buy a different book if you are looking for projects you will actually take time to create.

5 comments about Create Your Own Beach Sticker Picture (Sticker Picture Books).
  1. We took this on vacation with us and three kids between the ages of 2 and 4. It was something different and they really enjoyed it. It was easy to pack and provided about an hour of quiet activity that didn't involve cartoons. It only lasted about 2 more times for my two year old son but older kids could probably get a few more uses out of it.

  2. This is a terrific product. When the sticker book arrived my 3 year old was sick. This kept him busy for several hours. Highly recomend.

  3. I thought the stickers were the plastic kind that are not sticky (like window clings), which they are not. The stickers do seem very durable though and I think the kids will enjoy this.

  4. I cannot believe I paid this much for this book. Totally overpriced, I feel "taken" by Amazon.

  5. I bought this for my toddler to take on vacation. She absolutely loved it!!! I don't think I paid too much. The stickers are reusuable - you can create your own beach scenes over and over again. This is great for car/plane/train and definitely kept my child entertained. Kids love stickers and the great vibrant colors. Great quiet activity!
