5 comments about Bd Safe Clip Needle Clipper.
- My husband is diabetic and the used sharps were taking us over. Our doctor would not take them unless they were in a certified container. It was painful to pay the price of a container only to throw it away....this needle clipper is just the ticket to rid us from the bulk! Also, we received the product in a timely manner. I would recommend both the product and the seller.
- great item-love it---takes all the worry out of disposing of used needles-also makes a good gift for someone with the need
- This needle clipper is easy to use even for those with arthritis in their hands. It quickly clips the needles from the used syringe and stores them in the attached container; I no longer have to worry about anyone taking used syringes from my garbage on pick up day.
- It is difficult in this day and time to dispose of used hypodermic syringes. If they are put in the trash after use, users of illegal drugs could take them out and reuse them. (Leaves me thinking I might be contributing to the drug problem.) Someone could be stuck or scratched by the needles. I do not have any contagious diseases but they would not know that and might suffer anguish unnecessarily.
However with the needle clipper, just inject the dose of insulin, clip off the needle from the disposable syringe, and dispose of the syringe in the trash. Safe and easy!
It had become a problem finding somewhere to dispose of the syringes with the needle attached.
Thank you.

- As a "new" insulin-dependent diabetic, lots of things have to change: your diet, exercise, no more spontaneous dinners after work without insulin, etc. The slight pain and weirdness of injecting oneself goes away, but the logistics of having a medical equipment inventory does not.
While insulin syringes are perfectly safe after use (it's an intramuscular injection with no blood going into the needle), they are medical waste and a worry (what if kids play with them ?, what if junkies go through my garbage at night ? -- paranoid stuff like that).
A needle-clipper like this eliminates this worry. The clipped needles stay in the handle of the clipper until you get 1500, then you can dump it into a Sharps container. The syringe body is just a plastic tube without its needle: toss it.

4 comments about Brand New! From Medicool the Poucho Diabetic Blue Wallet- Single Pen - Color Blue 2 1/2 X 7 Keep Insulin Safe Between 60 -70 Degrees for up to 96 Hours up to 100 Degree Heat with No Refrigeration Made in the Usa, Activates in 40 Seconds Made in the Usa- Suitable for Carrying 1 Insulin Injector Pen -Or- 2 X 10 Ml Insulin Vials.
- It works well in the first few months of use, but after I'd say 6 months the reactivation time increases and fianlly you can't reactivate the pouch at all.
I also bought Frio at about the same time and that still seems to be working however the Poucho initial activation seems to last longer 72 hours compared to 48.
- I purchased this item to keep my Byetta pen cool while traveling in the car. It works great at keeping things cool with no refridgeration and is small enough to slip into my purse. I've only used it on day trips so far and I've never left it in the car, I keep it in my purse. I really like the fact that it's activated with water which makes re-activation easy. The only problem I've found is that the single pen size is a little too snug fitting. I wish it was tad bit wider because it's a struggle sometimes to get the pen out and back in again. Still, with that said I think it's a great product and would recommend it highly.
- This insulin pouch does not work for long. It states that it can be activated in minutes and reactivated in seconds. After several months of owning it, It will not activate even overnight. Going back to the FRIO brand.
- This item was purchased for my wife, a recent insulin user. We are both RN's and Diabetis, being a big big health care issue, it was important for both of us to get a product that we trust to keep the insulin safe. Which means that when we travel it is important for the insulin to remain cool so it will be useable.
This product will do this but it also needs considerable attention. It is designed to keep the vial of insulin cool by evaporation more than by refrigeration or direct contact with a coolong item like ice pack. If you do not pay attention to where it is placed it could warm up quickly.
It is a very nice looking and tidy product. It does fit in a purse or ice chest easily. It is a nice product.
My only real concern is that the uneducated will think it is something that will remain cool even if left in the car unprotected. If I remember correctly the package does expalin this and the info is there IF the User reads the info packet.

3 comments about Medi - Fridge Micro Cooler Color Red, for Pens or Vials. Keeps Medication Cool for up to 20 Hours.
- My uncle is diabetic and uses the Byetta pen. He would give himself a shot at home and then the clock began counting if we were eating out. He was really tied down. I gave the Medi-Fridge Micro Cooler to him for Christmas, and he said "You couldn't have given me anything any better!" We especially liked the extra ice pack that was included.
- Very versatile product and convenient. And, when I called the warranty line, I had excellent, excellent service!!
- My daughter went on a school trip with her insulin and it traveled great. Twelve hours on a bus! We will get a lot of use from the Medi-Fridge Micro Cooler.

1 comments about Medicool Insulin Protector Diabetic Insulin Carry Case Color Black.
- I purchased my Medicool insulin protector when I was diagnosed with Type 1 back in April of 1993 and I've had the same one since then. It has traveled all over the world with me, including trips to France, Hawaii, and all over the Caribbean. Throughout, it has been a tough traveler, keeping my insulin cool in the summer, and temp stable in cold weather. I keep thinking that I should get another one, but mine still looks new and does it's job, every time I travel. :>)

3 comments about Fridge-to-go Black Diabetic Pen and Vial Travel Wallet Keep Medication Between 36 -46 Degrees for 8-12 Hours.
- Ignore the one star. I would have loved to love this product but unfortunately, it never arrived. I was very disappointed because I wasn't able to find anything like it on the internet or in the stores and it looked like it would be exactly what I wanted. Thankfully, Amazon was very quick to credit my account once I complained that I had been billed but never received the product.
- it's very easy to keep in the freezer and grab it when you need it, i wont be taking the time to get a small cooler together if i need to leave the house for a few hours. It does stay cold for about 8hours on an average 75 F day if you dont let it sit in the sun. very happy with it, especially for the price
- i purchased this product to go to flordia and i was overall stasified it did not keep as cold as i thought it says 8 to 12 hours but i think in flordia temps in august it is more like 5 to 8 hours instead but it did help us to stay at universal studios all morning then break in afternoon refreeze the pack then go out at night

2 comments about Med Sun 7 Day 4 Dose Pill Organizer -Blue.
- Pros: Trendy, removable strips allow separation of a single day's medication while preserving convenience of a weekly organizer.
Cons: Top of main case can be tricky to get on, thin plastic hinges *may* not stand up to long-term use.
Full Review: As a student I was looking for an organizer that was stylish and would fit into an already over-loaded pack. The daily strip organizers offer a trendy and discreet alternative to bulky dispensers while separating medication into four doses. The main case allows for weekly organization.
On the down side, the top of the weekly holder can be a little awkward to get on and I am somewhat concerned that the plastic hinges may not be thick enough to withstand long-term use. With that said, I have been using this organizer for about a month now and so far the daily strips have stood up to being thrown into my backpack.
In summary, I have found the product very suitable and I would recommend it to others who have to take medication several time within a day and are looking for an organizer with a more youthful design than traditional dispensers.
- I love this color coded system, I have all four colors and do my meds for a month at a time. The daily containers are easy to toss in my handbag every day. This is a great system!
