5 comments about 10 First Response Easy Read Ovulation Tests Kit Tests LOOSE.
- My wife tried these from Aleegold Sales with Expiration 03/09. We were impressed by the price and quick shipping, but were let down by the extremely vague results, which did not resemble the examples included in the instructions. Shortly after receiving these, we bought the clearblue easy digital ovulation tests, which were not vague in the least and only gave two positive results on consecutive days near the expected time of the month.
Alongside the clearblue tests we used these first reponse ones and would not have known from the first response strips when my wife was ovulating. In fact the test line seemed strongest a week prior. These ended up being a total waste of money. Perhaps they were stored improperly, or perhaps first response kits generally don't present clear lines. In any case, I contacted the seller and have not received any response.
- This product does what it is intended to do. However, it did not come with instructions. Luckily, I went to the website to retrieve them.
- We got pregnant on our first try this month, on cycle #1 (on Valentine's Day!), with the help of the Clearblue OPKs. We used the Clearblue and First Reponse OPKs at the same time every day according to directions during my entire fertile period. However, Clearblue was the only one that came up with positives for my ovulation days. I never got a postive on First Response OPKs during any of those days. If it were not for Clearblue, and I had just used First Response, I would have never known I had ovulated and would not be pregnant today. First Response was such a waste of money, time and worrying. Go with Clearblue.
*OPK = "Ovulation Predictor Kit"
- I was very pleased with the product. It arrived quickly and was in the original packaging, undamaged. I would buy from here again!
- I was very pleased to see that the tests arrived so quickly. They seem to be accurate in determining ovulation and clearly indicate when it is about to happen.

1 comments about Mabis Digital Basal Thermometer.
- I love the fact that this little basal thermometer is to the 10th degree but wish that it had a back-light. It is hard in the mornings to see the display since you are to take your temperature as fast as you can and without much movement.
I like the memory feature but wish that was a second button on the unit. It displays TWO temperatures and I am not sure what the second temperature is all about. I am ASSUMING the first number with the "M" next to it is the memory recall of the last reading.
The button is flat and I find myself fiddling with it to activate the thermometer.
I like that you can get charts off the Mabis website...so that is a plus.
Overall it is a good BASIC basal thermometer. I would spend extra money to purchase one with a light, if there is one like that available.

- Worked like a charm! No guessing! Better yet, worked the first time after many years of trying all kinds of things!
I will use it again!
- I tried this for two months and never had a positive ovulation indicator. The test is messy and they only give you one urine collection cup so you have to clean it out every time in order to reuse it.

5 comments about Combo package - 20 Ovulation & 5 Pregnancy Test.
- Loved the product, Using the Ovulation predictor strips, I became pregnant on the first try!
- In a lucky stroke, I'm pregnant after just one try.
The test strips took a while to get used to. It's not as responsive as the ones I used to get off pharmacy shelves. Keep the test for a while before you toss it away, thinking it's negative. The result takes about 5 mins to show clearly.
The good thing with these strips are, unlike the ones off the pharmacy shelves, instead of just showing a clear yes/no. It will still show a faint line if the hormones are there, but not too strong. That kept me trying to test till the lines were clear and strong.
For its price, I think it's worth to wait a little longer.
- This product worked just fine for us when we used it to conceive our son about two years ago. After trying for 3 months using other methods, we used these strips and got pregnant right away. So now that we are planning on our 2nd, here I am ordering combo pack number 2!
The pregnancy strips did show only a faint positive line initially, but then I was only 4 weeks pregnant. I used another one later just for the fun of it and got a very strong positive. I had no problems with evaporation lines or anything like that.
These strips don't need instructions- you just have to dip them in urine a few seconds and wait for the result. It would be silly to send detailed instructions through the mail for these when they can be so conveniently emailed to the customer. Great product, IMO.
- I love the product! The OPKs work great. I like that you only get lines when you surge, and they are inexpensive enough that you can test often...I also really like the company. I was supposed to receive the product by 3 September. One week later, I contacted the company and the responded immediately. They resent the package for me. I was very pleased with their customer service. I give them an A+!
- I am very happy with this product. The instructions where sent beforehand by e-mail and I have printed them out to keep with my sticks. The price of this package is incredible compared to what you would pay in the shops. Until now they seem to have worked fine. Once when my period was late I doubted the negative result of the pregnancy sticks. I tested with an 'answer' shop bought pregnancy test which was the same price as this whole package for only 2 sticks and the result was exactly the same.
I would definitely recommend this product.

3 comments about Basal Digital Thermometer - 1 Ea.
- I like this thermometer. It does exactly what I expect it to, and the features are thoughtful and work well: it stops beeping if it gets moved to the wrong place or its reading is disrupted, and I like the light and how it displays the last temperature read when you first turn it on.
The only negative is that I'm not 100% sure of its accuracy. It might be my fault because I'm not sure exactly where to place it in my mouth - I kind of aim for under one side of my tongue, toward the back, but it's a little hard to tell if that's right based on the diagram in the instructions. But I've used it for a couple months now and once in awhile I get a wacky reading. Then I re-temp and it seems to be a more normal temperature (I use FAM so I have some expectation of where my temperature should fall within a range) but it leaves me doubting the reading somewhat. I'm still giving it 4 stars though, because it might be user error and overall I would say it does usually give an accurate reading.
- This thermometer has pretty much everything that is suggested when it comes to buying a basal body thermometer. It has the backlight and the memory function. It only takes 1 minute to give you your temperature. It beeps every 4 seconds to let you know it is working. I would prefer that it didn't beep and that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It also gives you a long beep to let you know when it is done. It only reads to one decimal place after the decimal which is fine with me.
- i like the slim tip design, the speed of this thermometer (1 min vs my previous one which was 5mins), the back light & the 4 sec beep to tell you that it's on (I used to fall back to sleep while it was taking my temp & only realise after 10 mins that i had accidentally turned it off!) I don't like the fact that it only read temp in Fahrenheit & that it only has 1 number after the decimal point instead of 2.
