  1. This is a great product - I just with I could turn off the beeping.

  2. This thermometer is accurate, lightweight and fast. The back-lit LED is also extremely helpful for seeing in the dark. Some have mentioned that they didn't like the beeping but, honestly, it's not that loud and I like knowing it's working/progressing. I should have bought this one years ago while trying for my first child. I would recommend this product to anyone!

  3. I bought this digital thermometer as well as a glass one. Used them both for a week to see if they gave me the same results. The digital one was really all over the place, indicating to me that it is not very precise. It may be "good enough" for the purposes, but I personally would rather use the more precise glass one. Also, since you need to take your temperature first thing after you wake up in the morning, the loud beeping from the digital thermometer can get really annoying.

  4. I'm a big fan of digital thermometers. This one is very easy to use. Just press the button and put it in your mouth, and when it has your temp. it beeps quickly. Then you can leave it on the nightstand until you are ready to mark your temperature chart. If you want to note your temp. right away, press the button and the screen lights up, so you can see the number.

I also found the directions in the box to be a very helpful explaination of how to use the thermometer and how to use the temperature chart.

  5. We have used 2 other thermometers and this is the best one so far. The light alone makes it superior because you can actually see the reading in the dark. Also, it beeps to tell you it is working which is great because with the others, I would just sit there wondering if they were on and mess up the temp looking for a light to check them. Finally, the on button is nice and big so it is easy to turn on.

The only downside is it would be great if it read to 100th decimal. But, this isn't a big downside.

  1. Arrived quickly. I think the ovulation strips are more sensitive than store bought. I've never had store bought give a clear positive or negative and these did. Actually ended up getting pregs the same month I purchased. Pregnancy tests are also great. Only recommendation is to get small cups for dipond the tests on b/c you are not able to pee directly on the test.

  2. The strips are very easy to use, the level of hormones can be readily read once it starts to present. I use it for the first time and it works.

  3. I thought I was ovulating and used the test to confirm. It worked PERFECTLY and we got pregnant the 1st month trying. Great for the price (although I now have like 35+ ovulation tests left now that I am pregnant but have enjoyed passing them on to friends). Worth it!!

  4. Each strip comes in a hermetically sealed foil pouch. Easy to read. I received instructions with my order but instructions are also available on their website. I took my temperature during the testing period to have back up data. Fun tool to figure out your bodies chemistry.

  5. fast delivery; value for money; easy to use; Indication is clear and easy to read.

  1. This product has very difficult instructions that to me don't make alot of sense. I wasted my money.

  2. I read on other websites that people think its hard to read, but I didn't think it was to confusing. It was able to detect a "surge" and..well thats what it was suppose to do. I gave it 4 stars because I wont know for a little longer if we are pregnant but if i am...its def. a 5 star product!

  3. The first month of trying to get pregnant I used a more expensive clear blue digital test which didn't work properly as I kept getting errors of all sorts. I then got a cheap drug store brand which apparently didn't work either. I immediately ordered this for my next cycle, it was simple and easy to use. After my first try with it, I'm now 8 weeks pregnant. So what can I say, it works.

  4. My husband and I have been off of birth control for almost a year now. I have had pretty irregular cycles since going off of the pill. I had tried the OPK with the little smiley face and never did get a positive result. I may have started using it too early, which is obviously a user error, but I felt that with the first response brand I was able to compare the lines instead of a smiley doing the work for me. After temping for a few months I was more easily able to figure out when to use the OPK and finally got a positive test. The lines for me were easy to distinguish (and I was very happy to get any kind of positive result). Buying the tests on Amazon was more cost effective than at the drugstore and I did receive them in a timely manner. The only thing that I am not able to add to this review is whether or not they worked. I am still waiting to find out. So if you read this review, please keep your fingers crossed for me.

  5. I was dissappointed when this came in the mail because the tag on the item that I thought that I bought was for a Urine Pregnancy Test. This is an ovulation test. Much less useful, in fact, I don't care and won't use them. I am NOT trying to get pregnant. I think the information on the product website when you place your order should be more informative.

  1. It was hard to see in the winter during daylight savings time morning. It takes longer than a minute for results, so I end up falling asleep with it in my mouth, and usually end up temping twice, cause of inaccuracy.

  2. Thermometer is VERY basic. As mentioned by others, it really could use a backlight. A plus, however, is that it "saves" the last temp taken, so you can always check the temp later in the morning if you're recording your temps. Also, it takes two minutes to take a temp, which is a pretty long time when you're doing it every single morning.

  3. I returned this product because it is poorly made and does not work well. I followed the given directions, and was still given temp readings of 89.90 or 89.40, and the display was very dim. Also, the thermometer kept on telling me that my temp was Low after one min (and that is when it would stop reading). Maybe my thermometer itself was defective, but I purchased another on at the drug store which works great.

  4. Its easy to use but takes about 3-4 minutes to get a reading. You have to check your temp before you even get up to go to the bathroom, I have a 2yr old and so if he starts crying early in the morning it sucks because I have to either wait 3-4 minutes to get the reading first or miss some mornings. it also tells you it does a "playback" but the playback is never what my last temp was so I have to make sure I write it down every morning. I do wish I would have gotten one with a backlite to make it easier to see.
Overall if you want it to just take a temp its perfect.

  5. Better late than never I always say! For the price I paid for this item, it is very good. The only problem I have with it is it takes FOREVER to take my temperature. I use it daily to track my ovulation cycle, before I get out of bed in the mornings. Some days I don't have all the time in the world to wait for the therometer to read. But just as long as it's accurate, that's all that matters!

  1. It works fine. I have used for two months. Still trying to get pregnant...

  2. my husband and i have been trying to get pregenant for 6 months. i spent 2 months and about $35 using the "see if the pee line is same color or darker than test line" ovlulation tests. i couldn't tell with the human eye the damn difference?! it never looked the same shade or darker?! i thought i did something wrong first month (it's not that hard so i couldn't figure out the problem) so bought it and did it again. same thing! i even called the number to complain and response said "buy the (more expensive) month-long tester". i just may not be ovlulating during those 7 days. if i can't see the lines when i'm supposed to, how will that help me see the lines when i'm not! they were so kind to tell me to buy the $50 month tester and they would send me a coupon...which turned out to be $1 off! are you freakin kidding me?! so, i went on amazon to see what other testers were out there and if they were cheaper. the clearblue smiley face, digital tester got great reviews so i got it. so nice to see that i am doing it correctly and my human eye does not have to differenciate between kinda pink to medium pink to kinda medium pink. it worked in the first month! i got a smiley face on day 5, and my husband were ecstatic! we are now having a baby in 3 more months! highly recommend it.

  3. I do not have experience with other OPK's. After reading so many negative comments about struggling to interpret lines, I decided to fork out the extra money for this digital OPK. And it worked! I kept testing despite getting my first smiley face. I tested early morning. (Funny, many say do NOT test early morning, but early morning was recommended in the directions.) I actually got a smily face three days in a row. It may have detected my LH going up, my LH at its peak, and my LH as it was coming down. I simply covered my basis and had my BFP just 8 DPO!

  4. I used the digital ovulation kit at the same time as the regular kind, with the lines. Since the lines are sometimes hard to be sure of a positive result, I thought the more expensive digital one would help me be sure of exactly when my LH surge is. But whereas the lines indicated a positive surge, the digital one always came back negative. Both claim to be 99 percent accurate, but clearly one of them was wrong. When I had the blood test done in my doctor's office, it came back as positive for ovulation. So I was very disappointed with this digital kit, and won't buy it again.

  5. This is my second month, using Clearblue Ovulation tests. Both times, I've gotten a blank circle, indicating no LH surge. Although, my First Response have showed positive from the same sample of urine. I thought something was wrong with me until I read others' reviews. I have also had the screen "freeze" with the blank circle, causing me to waste a couple of sticks. This product is extremely expensive. It would be convenient to get a basic yes or no answer, but when it always tells me no, it bothers me. I will defnitely stick with my first response.

  1. After reading the other post, I really did not know what to expect. But I got both lines faint for 3 days and then today I got two dark lines that was equal in color... So it did come out positive for ovulation... Easy to read... Would highly recommend...

  2. These strips seem to show positive for several days, and do not pinpoint the LH surge like they are suppose to. I used them as a back up so I knew when I was ovulating anyway, but I was very disappointed in them. The control line is very faint and it does not take much for the test line to show darker.

  3. 1st couple tries I wrote this review:

When tested side by side with the others... These barely even showed a control line while I got a good control line and a slight LH line on my other test - from the same sample. I waited five minutes, I waited ten minutes. It was still very very faint - I checked back at 15, and 20 as well.

I know how to do dipsticks.
I tested first thing in the morning.

Anyhow - at least these are not as sensitive as others I've used.

These tests are also very very slim. I've used small dipsticks, but these are even thinner, almost like they were cut in half. The packaging is cute though, and easier to distinguish from the pregnancy tests.

2 months use Edit to add:
Since there are so many in the package and it is recommend that you test for ovulation at least 2-3 times a day I did, morning, afternoon and evening. I've used these tests for two months. They DO give me a second line about the right time - so they do work. They are definitely not as sensitive as the other tests I use. So for some with abnormally low LH levels they might not work. But they did end up "working" as far as I can tell - no pregnancy. But I did notice the spike according to the strips.

  4. these were not as easy to read as others I have tried, and it made me wonder if the results are accurate. I didn't end up using them and switched back to something I trusted more

  1. I just wanted to post how much I LOVE these ovulation strips. I bought them to start TTC, and in the first month, didn't know that I O until day 18! That's FOUR days off of a 'typical' cycle. Needless to say, I got pregnant right away and am so excited to be 7 weeks! If only I knew it could be that easy! It's worth it to try these, over the expensive store brands! Thank you! :)

  2. These work very well!! I started to take them and I thought they did not work until I started seeing them change to a darker tone and when that happened I check my calendar and it said that that was just about the right time to try for a baby....But I was unable to Baby dance those days since hubby was out of town. :( But still it does work!!!

  3. The sticks work like a charm, the first month of using them we concieved. When you first start using them,(If using them for the first time) you dont know if they are working, since you will get the control line, and then a test line, however when we actually ovulated for two days the test line was much more brighter and intense then the control line, we definetly knew it was working . The only cons is my wife had to use some type of container to hold the urine to dip it in, which is kinda of gross, but we ended up using small disposable salad dressing containers that we would rinse out and use for two days at a time before throwing them out. Its very interesting making a baby is not like in the movies, a lot of it requires timing and sometimes luck, but using these strips it atleast gave us a window of when to start shooting the target.

  4. I have been using these for two months now, every day after my period and have never had a positive result. Either I am not ovulating or these strips are not detecting Lh... either way, they package came without directions (and I ordered four packs) so I googled the best time to take this test. Maybe that's why I'm not getting a positive result... for all I know, I am taking them at the wrong time!

  5. The product did not work as it stated it would in the directions. In the directions, the LH surge was supposed to be indicated by a line darker than the control line. Despite having a faint line during all the days I tested (which was 10 days), the line never got darker than the control line. I assumed I did not ovulate. Fast forward to the beginning of my next period and I found out I was pregnant! Don't waste your money on this product.

  1. A few things to know:
    1) These tests "expire" 30 days after you open the bag. So don't think you can stock up for multiple months. Of course they won't mention this until you've already opened the box.
    2) This isn't as black-and-white as they'd have you believe, at least in my case. Unlike pregnancy tests, where you're looking for the presence or absence of a line, reading these tests depends on determining whether the test line is lighter than the control line (a negative test) or the same as or darker than the control line (a positive test). Maybe this is fine for most people, but every day since I've started, the two lines have been similar in color and tricky to decide which is "lighter" or "darker". Since you are only supposed to have a positive test for a few days of the month, I couldn't really say whether I've ovulated or not. So I spent my money . . . why?
    3) the instructions included are pretty vague . . . you will probably want to read up on ovulation testing online (but don't count on first response's website to be very helpful) before you start. Additionally, things like Clomid can mess with your results.

All that said, this pack cost something like $48 at CVS. So if you're going to buy it, buy it here.

  2. 2 months (and $[...]) later I am furious that I have wasted time, worry and effort on these sticks. I have never had a positive despite following directions meticulously. Perhaps it's the vague "limit fluids" - what precisely does that mean? 1 tbsp of water or 1 cup? For how long? I've read later that you are supposed to drink "very little" and hold your urine for 4 hours prior to testing. Um, if you've ever given birth, and if you actually drink fluids the way you are supposed to you're probably going to give yourself a UTI if you try to hold your urine for four hours. I will stick to the much less ambiguous BBT charting and cervical fluid observation, which frankly is significantly more accurate for timing anyway. Save your money, ladies - your body will tell you what you need to know. (Reference "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, for more direction.)

  3. The tests are exactly of the same quality as the individually packed tests, however don't have the caps and all 20 of them are packed together in a zipped bag. Once opened they have to be used within 20 days. If for some reason you have to test for more than 7 days, they are pretty good deal. Otherwise the regular 7-day pack is your best bet.
They were always easy to read for me (I assume it may vary by individual hormone levels) and left no doubt when the surge is occurring. I have tried using Clear Blue before and the First Response were way easier to read.

  4. Bought this so I could get a bumper pack of kits and hopefully spend a little less. However, you have to use all 20 sticks within 30 days so its fine if you would use that many in any given cycle because you have no idea when you ovulate and have very long cycles. But if you can pin point ovulation within a 5 day window then this bumper pack is not very useful!

  1. There is no point buying those normal tests and guessing if you are even ovulating.
And if you have observed your monthly period, then half task is done. Use all the various calculators online to understand when to start testing and in a month only 7 tests are enough for one cycle. Just start taking these tests 17 days ahead of your expected period. Mine's 35-cycle, so I started on my 18th day yesterday and I got a blank yesterday and today I have got my smiley. I came here to talk only about the product and its far more superior to all the other Ovulation tests in the market. I do agree there should be options to refill these.. but anyhow this one does its job great!!!!
Hopefully I get preggie soon too. All the best everyone.

    Thanks
    SJ

  2. Excellent product, worked every time. Since we started trying 3 months before, I started using it.
I showed the correct smiley face on correct ovulation date. I was using basal temperature charting as well, so I could tell.
And 4th month, my ovulation was late, and OPK detected that as well which helped a lot...and hey preg test came positive this month...
My suggestion is to use if after 11 am every day..and should have atleast not urinated for 3 hours.
    Good luck...

  3. I have just spent an entire year trying to read OPK test lines. I'm now on my 12th month TTC and wish I would have bought these earlier. Like most, I didn't want to spend the money, but today I used my first Clear Blue Digital Ovulation stick and I love it already! No more guess work! You just take the stick and slide it into the reader. To me, it is a very inexpensive version of a little fertility monitor. I wish I would have bought them earlier! Well worth the money :)

  4. This is NOT ONLY replace strips. Clear Blue does not provide replacement strips for this test. You have to buy a new kit every time, it's extremely enviromentally unfriendly and irresponsible and I'm personally going with another brand from now on. Annoyed!!!

  5. We were TTC for over a year, unsuccessfully. So we decided to buy this product after reading many positive reviews on Amazon. It did not disappoint and my wife got the smiley face indicating ovulation during two cycles. The sticks are very easy to use and (I guess) accurate. Unfortunately that did not help us conceive and so we stopped checking for the next couple of months and decided to consult a doctor. But then a few weeks back we conceived when we were least expecting!!

So a great product but does not guarantee success.
