5 comments about Lice Comb Nit Free Terminator - the Original Pro - Professional Stainless Steel Louse and Nit Comb for Head Lice Treatment, Removes Nits.
- My daughter had volunteered abroad, and came home with a wicked case of head lice. To make matters worse, we didn't know about it until it had gotten quite severe.
This comb, and ONLY this comb did the trick. The plastic combs that come with the head lice treatment shampoos are useless, and that's being kind. You comb your child's hair out and you think you've done everything you can, but indeed you haven't.
We successfully de-loused my daughter's hair by: 1) Using a standard chemical treatment (we used the one recommended by a nurse as being the least toxic) 2) Using this nit comb 3) Using an olive oil protocol lasting several days (just search for olive oil and head lice and you'll find it.)
Good luck!
- When I found lice in my daughter's hair, I got the usual reaction of frantic hair washing, laundry, etc.
And after buying everything else, I decided to get this comb. It is the most helpful thing I got. I bought the electric one and its OK, but not as good as this one. This will get rid of nits that you can't even see with a magnifying glass.
So do your regular shampoo treatment the first day, after that use the flat iron on the hair while it is wet (moist heat is alwasy more effective) and use this comb every day. You will be lice free in no time. Don't use the hot iron the same day after you use the lice treatment shampoo, because I've heard some are flammable.
- Hands down the only way to remove these crazy critters. I was able to get 90% out on the first combing. Just work in small sections and clean the comb consistently.
- I work in a school and I have children. Every home needs one! If you have children/teens, just spot check their heads every two weeks or so with this. This is THE BEST comb ever.
- I can't say enough about this. Needless to say this has been a horrible time. Our son 4.5 brought lice home from school about a week ago. We first tried NIX otc kit (which comes w/ a plastic comb). We thought we were done until combing that night we realized there were about 50 eggs on our sons head. We also have twin 2.5 year old girls that both had eggs as well. Next we went to the pediatrician and bought the prescription creme which seemed to kill all the adults, but we still had eggs. We used a metal comb we bought at the local drugstore, but it hurt when it touched the scalp, tangled the hair (so you had to use small amounts at once) and took forever (not cool w/ the toddler crowd - :( ) Finally we overnighted 3 of these combs and we can't say enough. They work, they don't hurt and they go through the hair smoothly. Took half the time. Really, buy these first, don't mess with the OTC stuff, but mostly get this comb!!

5 comments about Lice Eliminating Natural Shampoo, All Natural, Non-Toxic, Nit Free with Foam Applicator Kit.
- We have had 3 battles (and I mean battles) with lice. The first time around we tried the over the counter stuff but were just frustrated to still find live lice on my child's head afterwards. And then there was the continuous nit picking which on a child with long, thick hair is just tedious. Thankfully a relative recommended Nit Free, a non-toxic alternative. It contains enzymes that kill the lice and dissolves the nits. The foam is great for keeping it on the head rather than wasting half the bottle down the drain (this happened with a different product). Tip: use a dry washcloth to keep it out of a child's eyes. Also, come up with games (like eye spy) or stories to entertain or distract during the intervals when the hair is soaking. You can also order the terminator comb which seems to work better than other combs we've tried.
- I have been battling with lice for almost one year. (I'm sure we had the pesticide resistant lice that everyone is now talking about) My two girls HATE having their hair combed EVERY NIGHT!!! This product was the ONE that FINALLY worked! I did a treatment and though after I did rinse out the product my three year old had only 3 nits, yes 3!!! I was so happy! The three nits came out so easily. With regular shampoos and other lice treatments you have to work to get those nits out. I've had to cut individual strands of hair out with other products. I would be more than happy to use this product again if needed, but so far, so good!!! And trust me, I would know. I've tried everything from lice shampoos to new rx products to mayonaisse (I couldn't eat sandwiches for weeks)...this is the only product that didn't stink and that was actually successful! Thank goodness for this product!!!!
- Nit Free Terminator Lice Comb, Professional Stainless Steel Louse and Nit Comb for Head Lice Treatment, Removes Nits
Used with the terminator comb with great success to remove the lice.
- I bought this product after using the traditional lice shampoo. This is the only thing I found that broke down the glue on the nits successfully. After applying the product as descibed on the label I put a little conditioner in my daughters hair and went through it with the nit comb. I did't find a single nit after I was done. We are going on 6 weeks lice free.
- Pros
*Gets the nits out (clinically proven to dissolve nit glue)
*Doesn't stink or burn scalp
*Doesn't damage hair
*You can use regular conditioner afterwards
Cons
*You have to use a lot to get the job done (20-30 puffs or 1-2 oz), it is a very light mousse, but there is plenty in the bottle
*Time consuming - you apply, wait 5 min, and then apply some more, wait 5 more min, Then comb it out. But what lice treatment ISN'T time consuming?

5 comments about Bed Bugs, Scabies, Mites, Lice Die a Natural Death with Eco Living Friendly, 32 oz ELF for BED BUGS, 100% environmentally friendly solution to your Bed Bug, Scabies, Mites, Fleas, and insect problems. New Guaranteed Formula. EPA (exempt), FDA (GRAS) Safe Ingredients. (32 oz Pre-Mix in ready to use Sprayer Bottle).
- Been using Eco Living Friendly for Bed Bugs for over a year now, and as a highly sensitive individual to allergies and pests, have been completely satisfied. So I just purchased a full selection of ELF Sleep Safe Queen size bedding encasements for my old but comfortable contaminated mattress, box spring, and my four favorite pillows. Now fully protected from Bed Bugs and Dust Mites, I also am very impressed with how my bed looks today-like brand new! I looked at all the ELF Sleep Safe products, and it looks like they can be used on any bed size out there.
- I bought this because it is safe for pets...couldn't risk the health of my puppy. I used it as directed when I found two bedbugs that migrated from my neighbor's apartment. It work really well, but be advised that there is a smell. No, it's not offensive or nauseating, but it's definitely different and you'll notice it up to 2 hours after use. So be sure to open the window if you use a large amount.
- The product had a strong vinegary order, which is resulted in migraines for someone like me that has severe allergies. The order was so strong that it had lingered for days.
Unfortunately; the product did not address the problem and of course, more sleepless nights beign attached by the bed bugs.
Despite the encasing I had used on the box springs and mattress - there is no safeguard on irradicating the bed bug problem. You can only be procative and minimize as much as possible with spraying ro washing sheets.
- I am just not comfortable staying in most motel rooms these days, and not just the cheap ones either! Prior to going on a recent extended trip I bought this product and used it as directed on the bedroom area at each motel. I never saw any evidence of bugs, so I'll assume the product did what it was supposed to do. Five Stars!
- the product does work i have several snakes and the mice i got unfortunatly came with mites its true you do have to spray the bug themselves but the die really really fast they take like 2 steps and stop after i leave the room i spray it on my hands and feet to be sure not to trak them anywhere and it works great. there is a smell but its not overly strong at all i spray the mice directy and no ill effect its a good product thanks

5 comments about Kleen Free Naturally Bed Bug Spray 24oz.
- I like to leave the best reviews I can on Amazon and this is probably only my second 1 star review. This stuff did nothing for me at all. Nothing. Used it twice and then trashed it. Smells like vinegar
- this item does not kill bugs - it is only good for cleaning. it says right on the container that it is not a pesticide. i made a big mistake using this and greatly delayed my recovery from my bug problem. i thought i was spraying and killing them and it is only a cleaner.
- I was interested in this product because we have bed bugs to get rid of and the product is made from natural ingredients, no chemicals. I could tell right away that it had vinegar in it. I think vinegar acts as a repellant to bed bugs but does not kill them. I sprayed the carpet and our bedding and floor boards. I regret to say we still have bed bugs so we must move on to other methods.
- My understanding is that this stuff works, but must make direct contact. Smells a little bit like vinegar but can't be beat in that it is non-toxic.
- So far I'm very impressed with this product. To my surprise, it got an old, dog urine, stain out with one spray. I was skeptical because I had tried so many other products. I also tried it on a blouse that I spilled some chili soup on. Stain came right out. Next time I will buy the concentrate.

- nice enough product, prevents infestation but if your already invaded? nope not gonna help it much.
what finally got rid of my daughters? petroleum jelly. my daughter has waist long hair that's never been cut! and when our doc figured out i wasn't going to cut her hair, she said use PJ. well, the first time i used it, i didn't braid her hair...bad mistake, took me 3 hrs to get the tangles out. 2nd time i applied the PJ i combed & braided it. 2 weeks after a years battle with the infestation & trying every effin product known to man , PJ got rid of em but good!! :D seems the little buggers are getting immune to the pesticides we're forced to use. i tried many homeopathic things. but in the end? PJ!! YAY!! NOTE: PJ is $[...] a jar @ the dollar store!! real messy though should buy cheap plastic shower caps to prevent getting furniture & icky.
this product helped though, once i got em gone? this kept her cleared..so this product coupled with Petroleum jelly? then your good to go. might want to have a degreaser like dawn to wash the hair with after the pj treatment. i left it in my girls hair 3 days as per doc's recommendation. PJ kills eggs as well as the bugs!! DIGGIT!!
so in closing, the natural lice & insect repellent nit free spray as a preventative & PJ? problem is solved!!
- Pleasant smell, but hair looks greasy and oily after it. I guess it works, my daughter did not pickup head lice yet :)

- My 5 year old daughter got lice from school. And she has really long thick hair but each strand of hair is thin...it doesn't make much sense. This is the only comb that got the nits out. We still went through and picked the nits out by hand too but this helped. I still spray the spray in her hair before she goes to school.

4 comments about LiceMD Lice & Egg Treatment, 4-Ounce Bottle.
- Found this product helpful for getting the live lice out. I like the fact you can see the dead lice as you comb them out. However, we were still left with many eggs, even after doing a very thorough comb out with it. Kept using the Nit Terminator afterwards to get rid of of the eggs. My daughter didn't get her's back because we combed twice/wk for 4 weeks afterward, but I must have missed some eggs and got mine back after using this product, and had to use it again. Will retreat in 10 days this time and keep doing my comb outs. This product isn't very pleasant to use either because it is so thick. And no matter how careful we are with it still makes our hardwood floors extremely slippery. Still, it is nice to have a non-pesticide alternative.
- I have heard that this stuff is supposed to be awesome and really drown the lice, but it is so liquid it drips and drips. Haven't figured out how to prevent that. Did not kill all lice.
- If you use Lice MD within a day or two of being exposed to lice, this product works (lice haven't had time to lay a boatload of eggs yet)...but it doesn't kill, it works as a lube so you can comb the live ones out easier. If you've had them awhile or have an infestation, it's a lot less effective. You'll have to do dozens of repeat treatments (at least every other day) and continue combing daily. You can get the same effect using hair shine products (1/3 the cost of this product) with dimethicone as a main ingredient. This product is very expensive considering that with an infestation you should use a whole bottle every other day for a couple of weeks. You need to keep killing the hatching lice and they can hatch out for several cycles, until you're killing live ones and waiting for eggs to hatch. If you miss a couple eggs and they hatch one female and one male, you have more eggs to come even if you manage to kill that mating pair after the female has laid more eggs (as many as 10 a day). With combing alone, it is very difficult to get them all. So it's a constant battle. Having said all that, hopefully one day you'll catch up to them all, and this is WAY better than usinhg useless enzymes or essential oil connoctions, olive oil, or poison (Nix, RID etc) or even mayonnaise as some recommend (which does the same thing as Lice MD but is a lot stinkier and hard to remove).
- I didn't know this and it doesn't say it on the bottle but I read that this is how it works in a mag. Apparently it can be effective, but I don't see why mineral oil wouldn't work just as well.

1 comments about Circle of Friends Duo Lice Free Zone Shampoo & Conditioner.
- We have been religious users of Circle-of-Friends Lice Free Zone Shampoo and Conditioning Spray over the last year, ever since lice broke out at my daughter's school. Every evening when we bathe our kids, we use the Lice Free Zone Shampoo (and follow with the Lice Free Zone Conditioning Spray on our daughter's long hair). Every single morning, I've french braided my daughter's long hair and sprayed it very liberally with the Lice Free Zone Conditioning Spray. Guess what? She got lice anyway. These products did not work for us.
