5 comments about Reality Female Condom - Condoms.

  1. No more trying to read braille with a water balloon on my finger. The added bonus to the Reality female condom is that it covers most of her exterior girly parts.

  2. My boy is little bigger then average and uncircumcised, so wearing normal condoms didn't do anything but make his penis flaccid. So when I read reviews about how a female condom may help out I had to try some. Let me tell you THEY WORKED WONDERS! He was able to stay hard for a long time and it felt like there wasn't a barrier down there at all. Using the female condoms can be awkward at first, but they feel and work so much better then male condoms.

  3. I HAVE NOT USED THE PRODUCT YET, BUT WAS UNSATISFIED WITH IT COMING IN A PLASTIC BAG AND NOT THE ORIGINAL BOX.

  4. It is the best protectant any women can use without worrying about "him"!!!!!!!! At first, you would have to get used to it. but when you have used it a handful of times, it will be a breeze!!!!!!!!!

  5. Female condoms are wonderful and I fully endorse them, HOWEVER: Depending on your partner's "length", it is possible for the condom to be pushed up inside the female, rendering it useless.

5 comments about Today Sponge, Female Contraceptive (12 Sponges).

  1. The Today Sponge is so easy to use. I love that it performs three duties: kills sperm, absorbs sperm and semen, and covers the cervix. They are unnoticeable once inserted, and maybe it depends on your body, but they do stay in place. I have had no side effects with these at all (or pregnancy) so far and have been using them for about 3 months.

I cannot believe the price of these on here. I bought a box of 6 a few days ago at Walgreens and they were actually on sale for 12.49, down from 19.99.

  2. I used the sponge back when it first hit the market and loved it. Needless to say, I was ECSTATIC when it came back on the market and i'm a quite ticked that it's scarce again (and, yes, i've been running around like elaine in seinfeld, hoarding whatever i can find at the regular price on the shelves ... which are now, SADLY, empty). Here's my rant ... I find it VERY odd that the company who made the deal to take over from allendale pharmaceuticals retooled the packaging to appeal to a younger market but has recently filed for reorganization under Chapter 11. And NOW, when we're sent to links to buy the sponges online in the US, we're asked to pay varying exhorbitant prices including $130 for a box of 12 that used to cost $35!!!!????? (Price of three online - $43/ on the shelf - $10; Price of 6 online - $75/ on the shelf $16) Like the rising cost of gas, THIS ALSO "SMELLS" .... AND ... can you say ..... SCALPING? Something just doesn't seem kosher.

  3. Initially, when I started using the Today Sponge (4 months ago), I thought it was an amazing product and absolutely loved it. However, I recently had a serious problem with a sponge; both my husband and I suffered severe pain after using one. I called the 800-line for help and was put in touch with two people at the corporate office. One promised a refund, while the other (the Chief Scientific Officer) told me the medical problem was likely my own--not the product's. WHen the refund did not come after a month, I emailed to check in. I never heard back. So I called both the 800-number and the corporate number. The latter NEVER returned my call, while someone from the former (Customer Service) called and said the company had suddenly gone out of business and that not even the people at Customer Service could reach the people at corporate. Clearly they are aware that they have a bad product and have disappeared as a result. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT--for your own safety. I did love it for the first several months that I used it, but now there is definitely something wrong.

  4. if an ongoing effort to not use hormone based birth control, and being in a committed relationship that is tired of condoms, this past weekend, we decided to give the Today sponge a try. The sponge is a nice termurpedic sort of foam that is nice and squishy. getting it in place seemed easy enough. I felt secure in the seal of the sponge placement and the loop was also easily reached. But after a couple of rounds with my boyfriend, it seemed the sponge had flipped around. when had this happened? before or after climax? am I more at risk for pregnancy? this also brought about difficulty getting the thing out. after a few tries of my own, I had to employ my boyfriend to get it (longer fingers). both of us could reach it, but there was no way to extract it. after two hours and some different techniques, I got the damn thing loose. But here is the question. if I can reach it with my finger, and break the seal.. then certainly My partner could do the same during intercourse. so how do you know its stayed in place? you dont. He is well endowed, so maybe that was part of it. Also, the Ny-9 is the same spermicide used on condoms and I have never had trouble with it, but the sponge sort of seeped in the hours not involved in sex which made my business south of the sponge quite agitated, after all of the wrestling to get it out, I am now out of commission for a couple of days and am going to buy a plan B in case the sponge was out of place, thereby putting me at risk for pregnancy.

as far as the taste thing goes, I didnt notice any numbness when he kissed me and he had NO complaints.
really, I will NEVER use this product again, as a matter of fact, if you want one, I had purchased a 3 pack and still have 2 left, first one to email me your mailing address, can have em.

  5. Took a little while for the item to become available (was out of stock), but I was notified as soon as it came in and received promptly after I placed my order.

  1. The sponge is a wonderful choice for women that have difficulty using hormonal contraceptives. It's easy to use, reliable, no prescription necessary and effective up to 24 hours. I wish there wasn't such difficulty obtaining this phenomenal product!

  1. initially i was a bit confused at what to do and how to operate it, but then i got it. you take the blue top off the first stick, then push that end inside you, and with the skinnier stick, you use that to push inside the bigger stick to push the stuff in you. if u don't comprehend my instructions i think you'll figure it out when you get it...i like this product and it's concept. its a substance you put in your genital to avoid pregnancy. the substance is like some type of thin goo. it makes the condom even more effective. i feel that this, with a condom is like being 100% safe...i've been searching hard for a contraceptive for my tastes. this has no side effects like the pill, no pushing a scary cloth or diaphagrm up you. this is simple and quick. i will be purchasing again.

  2. I agree - Allendale Pharm filed for bankruptcy - no more sponge! No chains in USA or Canada carry it any longer. And online scams want up to $150 for something I paid $20 for just last month at Walgreen's? SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG HERE - women consumers are not being told the whole story...shame on the company for disappearing - was it for health reasons? Danger to us? WHAT!!

I find it very suspicious that there has been no consumer questioning of this...I loved the ease and convenience of this product, but now I feel something shady has gone on. I only hope no one buys these now - it's weird they are just pulled off the shelves, so I cannot feel they are safe anymore.

  3. I have waited years for this to return to the market, now we are in danger of losing it again. There must be a conspiracy against women.
