5 comments about Prilosec OTC Acid Reducer, Delayed-Release Tablets - 42 ea.
- I need to take two of these a day. A prescription costs over $300. To get this product at less than $35 a month (on the Amazon plan) is a huge savings. Free shipping too!
- I chose this over the prescribed generic from my physician because I thought it was superior. I take one tablet with water when I arise. It lasts through the day and night with complete relief from heartburn. I can't believe I waited so long to try it.
- I was looking for something that would stop my indigestion on a regular basis. Prilosec has been the answer so far. It took several days for it to start working. It is not something that you only take one dose as needed. Each treatment is for 14 days.
- Prilosec works well to control my GERD. The generic works just as well and is generally 5 dollars cheaper per 42-count than the brand name.
So why buy brand-name?
THE PACKAGING!!!
Yeah, it's still in blister-cards only - which I believe is utterly irresponsible as they are nearly-impossible to open if you've got any kind of dexterity or strength problems... BUT at least the brand-name is now in a version that most people can open without injuring themselves or having to resort to scissors. It requires some strength to force one end of the pill through the thick paperboard backing, but at least you *can* do this now. Formerly (and still with the generics), you have to somehow peel the tough, thin layer of plastic foil off the back - hopefully without goughing yourself on something - and then push the pill out. We usually just got out the scissors, and opened up a week's worth at once.
Amazon's price for the 42-count brand name - about 21-22 dollars - is the cheapest I've found anywhere lately. I'll definitely be buying from them in the future.
- This product is as good as nexium. It works well if you have acid reflux.one pill in the morning, one in the evening.I was amazed at the results!.Also you can't beat the price...........this product gets five stars.mark b.

4 comments about Member's Mark Ranitidine 150mg Acid Reducer, 95 tablets (Pack of 2).
- I take Prilosec, but every so often I need something extra when I have a spicy meal or something. This works well and works quickly for me.
- I will order from this vendor again and again. The prices are good and speedy delivery.
- I have acid reflux. Ranitidine manages it well. This product allows you to have your life back if you have suffered the painful effects of acid reflux (mostly in the middle of the night). Ranitidine is the active ingredient in most name brand products such as Zantac and Pepcid AC (I think I'm correct here), but this product is a generic. It is the same thing only much much less expensive. I take one every night at bedtime and don't have to worry about it. If I were to eat a triple bacon and sausage pizza right before bedtime, I might take two. Guys, when you turn 30 years old, this product becomes a necessity. Be sure to get some before you turn 30 cause I'm telling you on your 30th birthday you will wish you had. Especially if you like to eat meat.
I've tried them all and this is the same medicine, but the very cheapest way you can buy it. For 20 bucks a year, you will be able to eat anything you want. If you have acid reflux, get this.
- My wife has found that this product relieves her acid reflux. She is pleased with the product.

5 comments about Alka-Seltzer Gold Tablets, Antacid Relief, 36-Count Boxes (Pack of 4).
- I have always had trouble with low body pH (hyperacidity). Instead of using sodium bicarbonate/baking soda, I supplement with a couple alka gold tablets daily in water which is potassium bicarbonate. The potassium is much more needed by me than sodium. By this method, I often have normal pH readings and also this vastly reduces or eliminates my nighttime leg cramps. This is a great product, and I'm very happy that Amazon carries it, because I can't find it in stores any more. Please note that I am not using this product to reduce stomach acid or for indigestion (not as an antacid for the stomach), but instead to raise body pH to normal levels. Therefore, I take it at least one hour before eating or at least four hours after eating anything.
- We use Alka Gold like powdered gatorade for regular flavored water. My family member has trouble with low sodium this helps to keep it within normal limits. A really good product we are happy with it.
-
I have been using this product for more than 20 years. It's great.
You do not need aspirin for an upset stomach.
It's too bad the pharmacies in Utah don't carry it on the shelves anymore.
- My purpose for purchasing the AS Gold is for the potassium it contains. This product is suggested on the Lyme websites for chronic Lyme sufferers as myself. The Gold helps with joint pain associated with this disease as well as any stomach irritation either the disease causes or antibiotics. Highly recommended for quick relief.
- Many years ago I had some allergy testing done at a doctor's office. If anyone had a bad reaction from food testing, we were given an A-S Gold. It immediately reduced the reaction. (Note: it doesn't work for environmental allergies.) I keep ASG on hand always just in case we get an upset stomach from something we've eaten. Now all my kids keep it on hand. ASG doesn't contain aspirin.

5 comments about Prilosec OTC- Delayed-Release Acid Reducer, (3 Pack) 126 Tabs.
- I must take a product like Prilosec daily. I have taken Prilosec and the generics and I find that Prilosec consistently gives me a full 24 hours of relief when the others don't. The Amazon price is about the same as Sam's but without the parking and lines. Recommended.
- As of the date of this review, it is cheaper to buy multiples of the Prilosec OTC Acid Reducer, Delayed-Release Tablets - 42 ea. Amazon's quantity discount pricing is inexplicable.
- I purchased this expecting first quality. When I received it, it was a bunch of loose boxes. Some had hangers as you would find in a drug store and some didn't. Many of the boxes had a large amount of scuffing and minor damage. I got the impression that these were rejects that couldn't be sold retail because of the cosmetic damage. This should have been disclosed.
- This was a terrific price for this. I usually pay at least $25.00 for the 42 pack. The delivery was very speedy.
- Ordered Prilosec - one package came empty - sent 3 emails - never replied! No customer service here!

- Taking one in the morning and one in the evening, this OTC "Zantac" generic works great. No heartburn to speak of. Cannot beat the price either. Will order more in the future.
- Member's Mark - Ranitidine , Acid Reducer 150 mg, 190 Tablets, Compare to Zantac 150 I purchased generic Zantac for my wife and she reports that it works just as well as the Brand name at a fraction of the price. So my question is, "Why pay more?"
- This product works as good as Zantac 150 for a fraction of the price. It has the same active ingredients as Zantac 150. I am very please with this product.Maximum Strength Generic Acid Reducer Ranitidine 150 mg - Compare to Zantac 150 - 190 Tablets

5 comments about Pepcid Complete Acid Reducer + Antacid with Dual Action, Cooling Mint, 50-Count Chewable Tablets.
- Pros: Extremely fast acting and long-lasting. One tablet does the job.
Con: They have changed the mint taste. While I do think the new taste does leave more of a cool sensation [which is great], it is a little odd. However this isn't candy, so not knocking off a star. Just hope they don't "new and improve" a great product out of existence. Note: FYI, the "new and improved" bottles say "NEW Taste!" on the top, and the tablet color is a bluish-white.
- The product is all it claims as an antacid and neutralizer. I have used the standard "AC" and complete for years. I never liked the berry flavored and I think many would agree as sometimes they expired on the shelf. Their pink pills were a great hit and worked fast.
Now we have mint green tablets. I thing they dissolve faster. I know they call these mint flavor but they taste like wintergreen to me.
There is no need to compare this product to any other, as it is enough to suffice that this product is fast, and long lasting. I keep some at home, office and car.
- My dentist recommended it to me due to my severe acid reflux. I am amazed by how one tablet a day has improved my condition and my quality of life. I HIGHLY recommend it.
- I know they are pricy, but when it's really bad and TumsĀ® can't fix it, one of these works instantly and completely. I always keep some around.
- I really like this product. I think it works a lot better than Tums (granted, it is a different type of antacid), and I enjoy the minty taste. The berry-flavored ones are not very good, but this one is great. I do feel like it is a little too expensive, however.

2 comments about Tums Antacid/Calcium Supplement Tablets, Ultra 1000 Maximum Strength, Assorted Fruit, Value Size 160-Count (Pack of 2).
- As a Bariatric patient, I need to have a chewable source of calcium daily--with vitamin D to improve absorption. Two of these Tums daily provide me with the right amount of that for my body--and they taste great. (Be careful--some of the Tums you can buy don't list the vitamin D)
Chalky? No--you just have to get used to the taste--and bariatric patients who do only chewable and liquids can tell you there are plenty of supplements that are just nasty tasting!
If you need that extra source of calcium, do yourself a favor and buy Tums--and this item is the biggest bargain I've found!~
- Unfortunately mine tasted like really dry chalk. I'm used to Maalox chewables, so I don't know if Tums was supposed to taste very chalky. I would recommend Pepcid Complete these days.

- This was recommended by my doctor after I went to him experiencing stomach pains. I have taken Tums all along but they weren't strong enough. Found out it was GERD- I know lovely name. I take 1 prior to dinner every night and don't have issues later on when sleeping as I have in the past. If I forget, hours later I'm reminded I better take one quickly!
I can give or take the minty flavor (reminds me of a Pepto taste) but it doesn't last that long anyway. I use the Subscription as it's a great value with free ship!
- Works better for me than Prilosec and Pepcid ever did. I could do without the minty taste, but I will buy them again.

5 comments about 170 Tablets Acid Reducer - 20 mg Famotidine.
- I'm sitting up late at night after eating Campbell's Select Harvest Clam Chowder which made me sick to my stomach, heartburn so bad it feels like somebody stabbed me in the back, chest, and dropped a bowling ball in my stomach. :-P Maalox works on mild cases of indigestion, but it's not helping enough right now. I'm thinking of taking some famotidine, because it has helped several times over the past few years, but I've noticed it also causes nightmares.
Just looked up the nightmare side effect, and it is verified for the elderly with kidney problems. I'm 43, healthy, absolutely no kidney problems, and there is NO doubt in my mind this stuff causes nightmares for me. I can't decide which is worse...staying awake for the next hour in pain or waking up (sometimes more than once) because of bad dreams. Glad it's the weekend, so I can walk around the house, read, and give my body a chance to get rid of this on its own. My advice...take during the day or only if you have to at night. (Thank God I'm starting to feel a little bit better during the last ten minutes. I really gotta start eating more organic, local, fresh foods.)
- Strangely enough, we don't take this product ourselves but actually (like one other reviewer mentioned) purchase it for our Weimaraner (dog).
Without the medication he is prone to vomiting bile on an empty stomach many or most mornings. With it he very rarely displays any issues.
We've been successfully treating his stomach acid problems for a couple of years now with these tablets and the price has been more economical than buying the same generic formulation at the local Walmart.
It works and our dog is (and therefore we are) happier for it.
- I've been using Pepcid AC Maximum Strength (or the generics from the local pharmacies) for about 2 years, ever since my chemo/radiation treatments resulted in ulcers (and shingles but that is another story for another time). As long as I'm taking Famotidine 20 mg, I can eat just about everything I want without problems and my ulcers behave. I never thought to look for the product here, but this morning for some reason, I got a brain!
Here it is at a fabulous price and at Prime, too!!! Holy Cow, Brainiac - why didn't I think of this before. The small boxes at local stores contain a scant 25 pills and cost anywhere between $7.79 and $10.99 per box before taxes and those are the generic prices!!! AGH!!!
As soon as I finish writing this, I'm headed back to order. This is a deal I can't pass up.
p.s. This comes in handy also when having to administer meds to my dogs - two of them are on Rimadyl twice/day for age-related pain, two others are on Deramaxx twice/day after recent broken leg surgeries (they're all retired Greyhounds so explaining two with broken legs at the same time isn't actually necessary here is it?) and to avoid upset tummies from the prescription meds, they get the 'pepcid ac max strength 20 mg' in plain yogurt about 20 mins prior to getting their pain meds in their meals. Works like a charm! (Oh, this was my Vet's recommendation, not a hair-brained scheme of my own. This product is also available in 10 mg, but because my dogs are of the large breed category, the 20 mg is what he recommended based on their weight).
Happy Digestion Everyone!!! :)
Thank you Amazon! Now, if ya could just put it on S&S, I'd be in Heaven!
- My doctor said that I didn't need an expensive prescription as long as this medicine worked so well for me!
- I have been taking medication for acid reflux for fifteen years. I have tried several different types, and always returned to famotidine 20mg. This product works just as well as the brand name famotidine-- at an unbeatable price.

- This is a great product and MUCH better than taking TUMMS. It takes a bit to get used to the new taste (much different than Tumms), but it is better for you apparently. I'm not a doctor. This is a 5 star product and the price here is much better than CVS.
- I have used Gaviscon for years. It works great anytime, but mainly to take before bed, to help with acid reflux. It forms a foam cap at the top of your stomach, which helps to keep the acid from washing back up into your throat. Could not live without it!! Great seller too. Shipped it fast!!
