1. Just bought a 2nd extended arm mount. I use this in my wife's C230 Mercedes, works great since her windshield is at a steeper slope being a sport sedan. I have it setup so the Tom Tom One XL is sitting perfectly on the dash so you don't have that shaking effect while driving. The only thing I would have changed would be to have the AC connector on the right side of the unit instead of the bottom, I have the unit basically sitting on the dash from the arm but it sits on the ac connector sticking out the bottom of the unit.



2. The first problem that the flexible stem mounting kit solved wasn't even mentioned in the description: unlike the suction cup that came with my Tom Tom One XL-S, this suction device, using a lever method, holds with a death grip. No more having my GPS fall onto the accelerator pedal.
   
   Second, the length and maneuverability of the 7" gooseneck allows me the flexibility to bring the GPS higher (above the Bracketron) and closer to me. It's a product that turns out to be even more useful than you had hoped.



3. I bought this mounting arm 2 days before a spring break road trip. I had never used this device for long trips and didn't want to hold it or leave it in the seat. Our road trip covered the desert temps, as well as the snow covered mountains of Flagstaff, AZ. Not ONCE, did the mounting arm come loose from the windshield and fall. Even through all the road vibrations the arm stuck like a rock!. For my Ford truck, the arm worked great and I just moved it up the windshield to make it stick out a bit farther without blocking my line of sight on the road.
   
   I would recommend this to other owners without a second thought!



4. Worth the money, never falls like the origional, great for a truck with a deep window.



5. The default windshield mount is cheap and flimsy, but this unit has better clinging power with an extended adjustable arm. I have the TomTom ONE 3rd edition, and it works just as advertised.

1. Good product. You have to remove the contacts from your car mount and insert them into this unit to make it work. This unfortunately renders your car mount useless. I have it mounted on a dualsport bike. I've read on some forums that just like brake levers on a dirt bike, you should leave the mount a bit loose, in case you dump your bike. That way it will pivot on your handle bars and it won't break. You can easily remove your gps, because
   it's just like the mount on your car unit.

1. Bought this for $199, has been working well and going everywhere with us since the day we bought it. Easy to use and the battery last about 4 hours in a single charge. Connectin to the satellite is a little slow at first, but after a software update it's not a problem anymore. I am not to crazy about the bluetooth, I have a blue tooth headset that's better....:)
   Putting extra software is a little tricky because it's a refurbished item and I had to call the tech support because the unit ID in the box is different than the one on the device help menu. I haven't tried the gas price notification update yet, but I am going too.
   
   Overall is a great GPS for the price and very user friendly.



2. It freezes more often than it works. I planned a big trip with this unit but didn't work at all. I paid 12$ for 1 day shipping which is waste.



3. The item came quickly. It was well packed. And the setup instructions were cear and easy to understand. The functionality and installation are good. There is a learning curve to use all of the units capabilities. Good product.



4. I have purchased three units and am extremely satisfied. You will not get lost using this unit. If you get off track it recalculates immediately. Getting used to the options and controls takes a while to learn but still easy to use.
   
   I recommend getting a remote for any gps unit purchased. No touching the screen jut use the remote.



5. I got a tom tom 510 with a 4 inch screen with bluetooth head set features for my b-day this gps is excellent.It works great I am very pleased with this product it is very accurate gets me to my destination with no problem.Plus it is a refurbished tom tom from the factory with full year warranty.I have had several people at my work asking me where did I get my gps.I simply say amazon.com.

1. I use the TT external antenna in my Class A Motorhome. The roof overhang is such that the internal antenna sometimes lost the signal. Since using the external antenna, I have had no signal loss problems at all. I highly recommend it for any application where line of sight to the sats is a problem.



2. Greatly enhances the operation of the Tom Tom.
   I use the Tom Tom inside a van and it allows me to get reliable reception with out being in the front seat.



3. I bought the product due to poor reception through the window. It didn't really help and I solved the problem by moving the TomTom from the middle of the front window to the side where the reception was stronger.



4. i own a full sized chevy silverado and had plenty of dashboard space. i didn't want the unit on top of the dash or suction cupped to the window. so i mounted it in my dashboard and it looks great it's out of direct sunlight, the thieves cant see it so the only problem was reception. it was solved by adding the external antenna, my gps gets more satellites than my tv does and in any weather or location.



5. I don't know how well this item works. However, Amazon.com put this in as a recommended purchase when I purchased my TomTom One Third Edition. However, after receiving the GPS and the antenna, I found out you can't use an external antenna with a TomTom One Third Edition.
   
   I can't give it a perfect mark because I know nothing about it. I gave it a three star because Amazon.com shouldn't be referring it as a recommended buy

1. Purchased this product due to the fact that I didn't know what I really needed. The only reason I didn't give this product a 5 star was due to the u-bolt that mounts it to the handle bars wasn't coated with anything, so the handle bars will probable have a scratch when I take it off. The product works great for my Garmin Etrex Legend. I used it for several long rides and it was nice to be able to adjust it to any angle. This is a nice item that works well.

1. This works excellent. It is much longer than the original holder, though - that is nice because it will bring the TomTom closer to you and it is bad since it means the TomTom bounces much more.
   Overall does a great job and sits very solidly.
