- works great. nice to have the option to charge and use the unit in the house or hotel room
- Once again, Amazon.com will be my very first on line company I trust.
The item is working like a Swiss clock.
Good job
- Having purchased this item, I find that it does charge the Magellan Maestro 3250's internal battery to full bars, but that they start to diminish rapidly. The charge holds far longer when using the DC plug for the Power connector in the car. Also, emailed the company requesting information on whether this AC Charger could overcharge the internal battery of the GPS and they never replied. This I found disappointing.
- I purchased this for my husband's new Garmin because he hates the cord hanging from the GPS to the power source. It's worked very well for us and is compact enough to bring with you when you travel. No problems, and it does the job. Price was reasonable and was delivered quite promptly.
**There was a review that the charger came to that buyer w/out factory packaging, just in the mailing envelope. Ours did arrive in a bubble wrap mailer but was still sealed in the original factory packaging.
- This is a great product for my Magellan 3250. It was less than half the price of an AC adapter cord that Magellan was selling. It works flawlessly.

1 comments about Magellan 950-0077-001 2008/2009 Map Update.
- Contrary to the written product description and what the customer service reps at Magellan will tell you, this item is NOT compatible with a number of Magellan Maestro models if you're hoping to uprade one to include Canada. Don't waste your time (a significant consideration, insofar as the software involves the most complex download process I have ever experienced) or money.

- Very nice case for your GPS system, but the same case at Walmart sells for 9.95 (ten dollars) cheaper less freight.
- Good size for Garmin StreetPilot 320. Big enough for mounting bracket, wall charger and extra maps. Well padded too.
- This bag is large enough to accommodate my Nuvi 350, the power adapter and cables for said Nuvi 350, a Cell Phone power adapter, and the Garmin friction mount! I am sure I could squeeze in a couple more small items as well.
The case is a nice and thick neoprene which should repel any rain drops and protect your gear inside.
- Good value for the money and does the job. Will buy from this company again
- I bought two of these cases. One for my Nuvi 350 and one for my mother's Nuvi 650. I am able to get my Nuvi 350, cables, friction mount, and case shoulder strap inside, with room to spare. It fits in my car's center console. My mother was able to get all of her Nuvi 650 items in her case. The neoprene is thick. I looked for the case in Walmart as suggested by a previous reviewer. They did not carry it. Save yourself the gas. Buy it here.

5 comments about Magellan Crossover 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Road and Trail Navigator.
- I purchased a Magellan CrossoverGPS a number of months ago. After not being able to get it to work, I have tried many times to get support from Magellan. I don't think they offer support. I have other Magellan products that work well, but this Crossover is a wreck. I would not recommend the Crossover to my ex-wife if I had an ex. If anyone can suggest how to get support from Magellan, please let me know.
Thank you,
Dave
- I bought this unit because I am interested in both automobile navigation and geocaching. I am very happy with this GPS. It is much better than the my previous (Ostia) GPS. The Magellan Crossover GPS works well in automobile navigation routing and re-routing, with good accuracy. The voice directions are accurate and clear with good volume. For geocaching, I have used it successfully to find three new geocaches. The only flaw that I have noticed in the Magellan Crossover GPS is a limited data base on points of interest. For example, for the restaurant data base it appears to list mostly fast food restaurants.
- This unit just doesn't live up to all of the promises made in the advertisements. It does do a lot of different things, but nothing well.
I could not get it to lock onto a signal properly and when it did it quickly lost it. Returned it to the dealer with no problem.
- Had the unit less than 30 days - have 21 map version - most recent 32 - Magellan wants $80 to update, also outofdate firmware - can't process update on website as indicated, technical support no support at all. . Several addresses and cities are not found in the system that are located on OnStar/TomTom/Garmin systems. Have requested customer service assistance 3 times - still have not heard. Can't return it to the store as over 15 days since purchase.
WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN
- works well, used it both hiking and driving. Navigation instructions aren't perfect, but I know some shortcuts the computer doesn't.

5 comments about Heavy Duty Friction Mount Base for Garmin, Mio, Magellan GPS Devices (HDFMB).
- I bought this for my mom for Christmas. She likes how easy it is for her to use. It arrived on time and in great condition.
- At first, this unit worked great. A couple of weeks later, the Garmin suction unit kept falling off it. Thankfully, my Garmin GPS unit was not on it. This happened more and more as time went on. I finally put tape on the Garmin suction unit to hold it securely onto this base.
Take Garmin's advice and buy one of theirs. It has a fixed mount on the base which does not come off. It was too late for me to change the order from Semson (the manufacturer), but Garmin said they would match their price...
- This is a great universal friction mount. I used to own a Nuvi 350 with Garmin friction mount. Unfortunately, Garmin friction mount only works with Garmin unit and does not work with my new TomTom One XL-S.
i.Trek mount base is heavy and solid. I especially like the universal design. The bottom has rubber anti-skid pad which sticks to my dash better than Garmin friction mount.
Both Garmin and TomTom factory windshield mounts are pretty useless which becomes weak after few weeks of use. I strongly recommend Arkon suction cup windshield mounts. It works great with i.Trek friction mount base. I have not experienced mount falling off even once during past 5 months of use.
- Very fast shipping by vendor. There were no instructions with this product but if you keep the GPS mounting surface clean, make sure your dash is not dirty and keep the silicon base clean (don't sit it on a dirty floor mat)this product works great. I use it with a Magellan 4250 and it is very stable.
- This one could not hold on to the GPS at all...
The GPS kept falling, after few times the GPS stopped working and eventually I had to send the GPS for replacement.
Then I bought GPS accessory for holding the GPS, though slightly more expensive than this one, it is worth it.
Instead of wasting money on this one, I advise people to go for original GPS accessory. This one costed me around ~$20 and the one from Garmin costed ~$27 (both with shipping).
Actually I am not able to rate it with zero(0), so I had to give atleast a 1 star to post this comment.

5 comments about Magellan 702176 Roadmate Universal Cradle.
- This is one of those situations where the cost of a cradle is 1/3 of a new GPS system... is it worth it??? Well if you have the 700 or 760 I say trash it and take the money for the new cradle and new maps and go buy a Garmin!!
- What can one say about an OEM replacement? They work like the one they replace. After 5 years, my original started having problems staying powered up and I traced it the power jack on the cradle, so I bought a replacement. Just a thought if you're buying one and you want multiple mounts ... Since these screw on to their respective mount, you might want to have one for each type of mount. I have the windshield suction as well as the weighted dashboard "pad" but to switch back and forth between them I need to unscrew the cradle. I know ... not tragic, but I like to keep one in my travel bag and the other in my car.
- Considering the power pin in the mount appeared to be loose, I thought this would fix my issue. The power cord appeared fine. Sorry to say, this did not fix the problem and only when I bought the power cord (a gamble) did both work. It's almost like the mount and the cord were made for each other and neither would work by itself.
- The little tongs you see there a extremely delicate and if one gets bent which it will you will lose connection to the GPS. A couple of years ago we had to buy a replacement cradle and at the time they were way cheaper-like $30. Now I guess since they are so delicate and constantly needs replaced and this is your only option if you want your GPS to work they've jacked up the price to $70. Nice company. Not money hungry or heartless or anything. Since we've replaced the last one another tong has been bent so guess what that means? To be honest we're selling our Magellan and buying a Tomtom. I refuse to keep handing them money because they've sold us a bad product.
- Magellan 702176 Roadmate Universal Cradle work like the original equipment. I am very satisfied with it.

- It was as described and arrived in great condition. It was helpful when I bought a second GPS system for my daughter for Christmas so she didn't have to charge it in her car. Great product.
- Very necessary to enter addresses into GPS, Can't easily enter addresses while GPS is connected to car charger while driving. THis is a great charger and has worked perfectly!
- not sure why a wall charger doesn't come included with the Magellan Maestro navigation system, but this one does the trick! Used several times now with No issues!
- I was surprised, this charger actually works! So many of the chargers sold seperately now days don't work. If you have any of these models for the Magellan and need to charge in house rather than in your car, this charger will work for you.
- My Magellan Roadmate 3000T GPS did not come with an AC Adaptor. This is the only place I could find one. Great purchase. Good price and fast delivery.

5 comments about Magellan RoadMate 1412 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator.
- I extensively used my companies pricier Garmin a few years ago, then bought this for myself after I changed jobs.
Two features I really miss, and feel they are not exclusive to high end models; the old Garmin said "arriving at destination ON RIGHT" (or left). This one just says "arriving at destination", so I spend more time swiveling my head around looking.
The Garmin also allowed me to program stops along the way during a route execution. The Magellan 1412 will only allow you to divert to "exit points of interests" and only along a freeway. Otherwise, if you're enroute, you have to cancel the route, search for what it is your looking for, then activate that route, then re-start your original route after. Or you can preplan it all -- as if you know ahead of time where you'll be needing to find a coffe shop on an old state road.
The "Exit POI" feature is very nice, however. How many times have you been on a long road trip and flown past an exit you thought was devoid of gas stations or restaurants because there were no signs ahead? This prevents that nicely and lets you see within 15 or so miles what is coming up along a freeway.
The POIs in the database are also pretty good-- lots more categories than I had on the older Garmin.
The battery is puny, and won't hold much of a charge. Keep the power cord close by.
The window mount is excellent -- better than the Garmin I had.
The speaker is small, and a bit hard to hear if you have a noisy car.
This one does say the name of the street-- a minimum standard in all GPS in my opinion.
- Not a bad unit for the price. Locked up once, not 100% accurate with streets vs. dead ends. Great for long trips, good for off-ramp services ahead.
- September 22, 2008
I purchased this unit for my upcoming travel around the USA. I have played around with it for a week around home and I do like what I see.
The text to speech is my favorite feature. Very clear and concise.
I am looking forward to utilizing the 'Exit POI' feature which informs you just what's off those freeway exits that you cannot see unless your driving thru California or Neveda.

Well, Maggie as I call her was called on to guide me to my first stop hotel in Cedar City, UT. Unfortunately she led me to a goat field in the neighboring city of Kanarraville. What a dissapointment! Fortunately I had my AAA roadmap and found the Stratford Hotel at 18 S. Main St.
She did find my 2nd stop in Dillon, CO.
- UPS ground took a very long time....7 days ... like pony express.
I ordered another package UPS Ground from Santa Clara and it only took 2 days UPS ground
hmmmm
otherwise all is well
- After a couple months and rarely used I can't power it up. I have charged it up for 4 hrs. and nothing. Can someone advise?

5 comments about Garmin nüvi 680 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator.
- I've owned 5 other GPS receivers and this is by far the best one yet. It's operation is very intuitive. Although I don't live in an area covered by the MSN service I activated the free trial period for a long trip to Florida. It saved us a hour delay through Atlanta taking us through city streets and dumping us back on the interstate on the other side of the traffic jam. While in Orlando it warned us of an impending strong thunderstorm and told us what was playing at all the area movie theaters starting with the closest. Just wish it was available where I live.
I love to eat, so the POIs, specifically resturants are a very important feature on the GPS. Very often the POIs are way out of date, but so far only one POI no longer existed when we searched it out.
My favorite feature is the ability to store audio books. Nothing seems to shorten a long trip more then listening to a good book. I use to listen to them on CD which required changing CDs all the time and often missing instruction from the GPS or part of the book because they were playing at the same time. With the book on the GPS the story pauses and even steps back a second or 2 when the GPS gives instruction, so nothing is missed.
On the negative side, people on the receiving end of a phone call through the Blue-tooth connection couldn't understand my mumblings because of the road noises.
I think this GPS will last me awhile.
- I have owned by Nuvi 680 for about six months, and it gets me where I want to go. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes me the worst possible route. I have the most recent map updates (which cost way too much). Recently, on a trip from Las Vegas to San Diego, it wanted me to leave the freeway to spend five miles on a frontage road and then return to the freeway. There was no obstruction or traffic that would justify this. In San Diego, it frequently sent me the long way around. In one case, it wanted me to turn left when I could clearly see my destination on the right. On more than one occasion, I was directed to leave the freeway, when there was an exit closer to my destination (even though I had programmed it for fastest route.)
I am also disappointed in the points of interest. We recently asked for a list of nearby restaurants. We found one about a mile away and found out that there was a well-know restaurant within walking distance. We have had other experiences where major restaurants are not listed.
I previously owned Magellan GPS units, and they gave more helpful directions and showed more useful information on the main screen. My next GPS unit will probably be a Magellan.
- I purchased this model NUVI to replace a 2008 Toyota NAVS system. It has found addresses when the Toyota's could not. The instructions are clear, it recalculates fairly quickly. I cannot compare it against more expensive Garmins because they have features I did not need.
PRO's. It takes an SD card which can be loaded with MP3's and Pictures. Interestingly it provides good background music in a hotel room when we travel so long as we use a power cord. Because the battery lasts so long we use it as a hand held rather then a mounted unit. (Our choice)
CON's. The voices that guide the traveled route are not as clear as they should be, however they do give you several choices of voice to use.
All in all I am glad we bought this unit. Rather than fight over who gets to take it for the day my wife bought her own NUVI 680 :)
- The GPS gives some really stupid routing directions, the MSN direct service does not work well, but I think it is the GPS unit or cable, to find out I have to pay shipping to send the unit back to garmin and in a month they will have it fixed and sent back, would be nice if they could just exchange it espically since I bought it new a little over a month ago. The GPS is easy to use, lots of POI but some stores have been closed for 3 years and still list them.
- The garmin is great. Easy to use, easy to see and a much better buy for a navigator rather than one that comes in your car and costs 3 - 4 x's as much. In sharing our garmin with others, they now have gone out to get one as well. The unit is quick to make adjustments and is extremely handy in finding resturaunts or other locations on the fly. The larger 4.3 inch screen is a must for these while the smaller screen is more difficult to use. The touch screen works well and the menu/search program is easy to navigate. The only negative we've found is sometimes maps aren't as up to date as we would like, but this has happened only a couple times. We aren't big travelers either but still use it enough that we are very happy to have it.
