  1. Very nice case for your GPS system, but the same case at Walmart sells for 9.95 (ten dollars) cheaper less freight.

  2. Good size for Garmin StreetPilot 320. Big enough for mounting bracket, wall charger and extra maps. Well padded too.

  3. This bag is large enough to accommodate my Nuvi 350, the power adapter and cables for said Nuvi 350, a Cell Phone power adapter, and the Garmin friction mount! I am sure I could squeeze in a couple more small items as well.

The case is a nice and thick neoprene which should repel any rain drops and protect your gear inside.

  4. Good value for the money and does the job. Will buy from this company again

  5. I bought two of these cases. One for my Nuvi 350 and one for my mother's Nuvi 650. I am able to get my Nuvi 350, cables, friction mount, and case shoulder strap inside, with room to spare. It fits in my car's center console. My mother was able to get all of her Nuvi 650 items in her case. The neoprene is thick. I looked for the case in Walmart as suggested by a previous reviewer. They did not carry it. Save yourself the gas. Buy it here.

  1. The map and directions work okay. The magellan shuts off when traveling, especially in heavy traffic. I do not recommend it.

  2. Great product, very readable screen, easy to operate, with all the features needed to navigate.

  3. i wish it spoke the name of the streets. other than that it is awesome.

  4. Magellan 4200, GPS. Two days after receiving this item I made use of it. it is great. It guided me directly to my destination. Love it!

  5. The Magellan 4200 has a few standard features that you will find in more expensive models. It is lacking the street name directions. All you get is turn left or turn right. That part is annoying. You can still mute the unit and you will be ok.I tried searching a few addresses and it was pretty accurate. So in that sense is good. I will probably sell this one and get a better model. Overall, it is a pretty decent unit. Easy to use.

  1. This is one strong mount. I use it on my trail bike and let me tell you this is one strong mount! it is really worth the price and then some. I have used it for about two weeks now. there is no way your GPS will ever fall out in fact it holds it so tight I have to us an allen wrench to remove the button mount in order to remove the GPS without damage. There is some vibration but the solid mount and peace of mind that my expense Gps will never fall off out ways a little vibration. This is The mount you want to use for dirt bikes or mountain bikes. Great product!

  2. what ever you do , do not get the garmin mount ! get this one ! i have a 07' 800 outlander max & i ride pretty hard . my gps don't even think about coming off . if you want a mount for a 60 series garmin gps , it don't get any better than this !

  3. This device works great! I bought it on a review and I'm glad I did. Works great on my mountain bike. Very sturdy.

  4. [[ASIN:B000196C2A Garmin Handlebar Mounting Unit for GPS 60 Series]
I absolutely love this item. I bought it to mount my Garmin 60CSx to my Yamaha ATV. I rode the hilly offroads of Idaho, through brush, over kelly humps and this mount stayed exactly where it was put. No slipping, sliding or vibrating off. You can adjust it so that you can see it perfectly during your ride. I would recomend this to anyone who plans to do off-roading with their Garmin.

  5. This mount is fantastic. I just used it on a 1200 mile motorcycle trip and it didn't move a millimeter the whole time and did not vibrate one bit, either. Highly recommended...

5 comments about Gilsson UBM Portable Car Non-Skid Friction Beanbag Dashboard Mount.
  1. Portable Car Non-Skid Friction Beanbag Auto Dash Dashboard Mount for Apple iPod Nano iPhone MP3, Garmin Nuvi 350 200 200W 250 260 650 660 GPS, TomTom One, Zune Player, Navigon 7100, Blackberry, Motorola Razr, MP3 Player or Garmin color eTrex Nuvi 750 76...
This mount holds my Tom Tom securely to the dash of any vehicle I put it in. Sometimes the mounting cup on my Tom Tom turned loose from the windshield, letting the unit fall. It has not turned loose from this mount. The beanbag is a bit large, but I guess that is one of the reasons that it works as well as it does. This is not really a major concern. GPS units are not that cheap!

  2. I have been using the Gilsson friction beanbag dashboard mount for one week, and am very pleased with the result.

The non-skid material on the bottom side of the beanbag provides excellent friction on dashboard surface. The beanbag, as well as my Garmin 660, does not slide even in hard acceleration and quick cornering situations. Although the instruction recommends placing the beanbag with one of the corners pointing front (thus making it diamond shape) for maximum stability, I found a regular square placement orientation (with one edge facing front) still provides sufficient stability.

Measured at 7" x 7", it is about 55% in size compared with Garmin model, which is 11" x 8". In addition, its square shape makes it look clean and nice on the dashboard. Originally, I was considering another model by Gilsson, the UBM-2 which measures 8" x 8, for the wide-screen Garmin 660 GPS. After one week's of testing, I concluded that it is not necessary.

Another thing I should mention is that the color in the pictures on Amazon looks burgundy, but the units I received are in black, which matches perfectly with the black interior of my car. A nice bonus to me.

For the price and performance, I think this is the best beanbag mount currently available on the market.

  3. Good product, god price, fast delivery. I just wish it was not so bulky. It would be easier to pack in the glove compartment.

  4. I had the greatest hopes for this product and I wasn't disappointed! It really defies the laws of physics and I'm still amazed that it works. I use it mainly for my Magellan GPS and now I can't imagine being without it. No more struggling to mount the GPS on my windshield and having it drop off 5 minutes into the trip. And I don't have to fight getting it off the windshield when I leave my car. I just toss the whole thing into my trunk after a trip and I'm done. Great little device. I recommend it highly to anyone with a GPS.

  5. This is my second attempt at getting a non-skid beanbag friction dashboard mount (or NoSkiBeFriDashMo as we call them in the GPS scene) that plays nice with my TomTom 920's stubby little suction-cup mount. The Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad does NOT work with the TomTom 920 (or any of the 700s or 900s, I assume) because the little arm on the TomTom's suction cup is so short, the GPS can't get over the big fat beanbag ring around the Bracketron mat. This means the GPS winds up angled almost straight-up, and you can't see the screen. Bogus!

But the Gilsson NoSkiBeFriDashMo, which I'm reviewing here, is excellent. The mounting surface (where you attach the suction cup) lies more or less flat with the rest of the pad, so I was actually able to see my TomTom's screen.

In order to test the Gilsson's NoSkiBeFriDashMo, I did some donuts in old man Cruthers's front yard, and I wasn't able to get it to budge. Glisson really puts the "Non-Skid Friction Beanbag" in Non-Skid Friction Beanbag Dashboard Mount!

It is a little big - about 7" by 7", so if you're driving an embarrassing car like a Miata you're going to be even more embarrassed when you can't put the pad in your microscopic glovebox. I suggest hiding it under the seat.

Finally, the bottom of the Gilsson, where the friction lives, feels really weird. I highly recommend touching it.

  1. I wouldn't order this, at least not from Amazon. The third party vendor sent it in a padded envelope but otherwise unwrapped, with no manufacturer packaging or any other indication that it is a new item. I'm not going to plug my device into it, under the circumstances. Still waiting to hear from the seller about getting my money back.

Edit update on grievance to seller: the seller did exchange emails with me and defended themselves, saying this was a new item they had unwrapped for ease of shipping. They offered to accept a return, though refunding only my purchase price, not shipping. The cost of shipping it back will just about cancel that out, so I am probably not going to bother to return it.
My warning still stands: there's just no way to tell, other than the seller's word, that this is indeed a new item intended for the use described. Without the packaging, the seller's claim cannot be verified.

  2. works great. nice to have the option to charge and use the unit in the house or hotel room

  3. Once again, Amazon.com will be my very first on line company I trust.
The item is working like a Swiss clock.
    Good job

  4. Having purchased this item, I find that it does charge the Magellan Maestro 3250's internal battery to full bars, but that they start to diminish rapidly. The charge holds far longer when using the DC plug for the Power connector in the car. Also, emailed the company requesting information on whether this AC Charger could overcharge the internal battery of the GPS and they never replied. This I found disappointing.

  5. I purchased this for my husband's new Garmin because he hates the cord hanging from the GPS to the power source. It's worked very well for us and is compact enough to bring with you when you travel. No problems, and it does the job. Price was reasonable and was delivered quite promptly.

**There was a review that the charger came to that buyer w/out factory packaging, just in the mailing envelope. Ours did arrive in a bubble wrap mailer but was still sealed in the original factory packaging.

5 comments about Mio C520 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator.
  1. I read a lot of product reviews on this and several other brands. If you take them all seriously, most likely you would never buy a GPS. The C520 works just fine and probably equal to all others in its price range. The most difficult thing is in deciding which options you need or want. I choose this model as an upgrade from the C230. I wanted the wide screen. I like the Mio brand because of the unlock and options you can add if you have some computer experience. It now has more games and gizmos than I will ever use. It has always locked onto satellites in less than a minute and never yet lost a signal while traveling. It seems to be accurate within 20 ft. The voice is very robotic and some street names are mispronounced. If you like gadgets then this is a fine choice. For grandma or grandpa that don't use a computer or a cell phone maybe a TomTom would be a better choice. I commute 150 miles a day and my Mio C520 sure helps.

  2. After using the Mio C520 for over 3 months now I truly regret I bought it. the device performs poorly in route calculation choosing the most bizarre routes you would ever imagine.
Fortunately also owned a Garmin 200W and the TomTom One. both outperform the Mio in suggesting much faster and more logical routes. THIS IS THE MOST BASIC FUNCTION OF A GPS DEVICE!
The bluetooth speakerphone is useless as there's so much background noise. besides, you have to pair the phone each time you turn the Mio on.
Overall nice feature/function but poor design, stay away!

  3. I had the Mio C310x first, but it got stolen. Then I bought a Garmin Nuvi350, but it was so bad I had to return it (I didn't use the C520 before I tried the Garmin, so I was only really comparing it to the older C310x). After that, I decided to look for the C520, seeing it has an upgraded version of the interface of the C310x.

Here's why I stick with Mio's older C series even now:
    - A lot more options, compared with other brands, for tweaking to make it work the way I want it to (could even be overwhelming for some users, but I like it a lot)
    - Animation of the map is the fastest and with highest refresh rate I've seen so far of portable GPSes. This is a BIG HUGE plus while on the road.
    - Split screen view, which I've been used to on the C310x (though it had less functionality on the C310x), is immensely useful. If you've never had one with it, you won't know why it's so useful!
    - POI search is extremely fast, unlike Garmin.

  4. I use this gps on my motorcycle. I bought a bluetooth stereo headset to go with it(plantronics pulsar 260) it mate fine with now problem. I control the tracks and volume control and even pause and play on the gps. I could not get to listen to the navigation thru the headset though, so I glance down and watch the high lighted route.
I have trouble creating music playlist with this device. I wish if it was something similar like windows media player. All the albums that you put on the sd card go in one playlist, so if you put 1000 tracks and you want to get to 920 you have to travel from 1-920.
gps passion forum have a section dedicated to the mio devices. search playlist.
The battery life is short with the gps but longer while listen to mp3. I always keep the charger connected while in the navigation mode. In the reviews it said the screen is difficult to see in direct sunlight. I have mine on a motorcyle facing up and I could still see the routes and with no voice to assist. I did had some difficulties going to jersey but that was probably due to the fact that I couldn't hear the voice guidance.
My sister and girlfriend left queens with mapquest in the car to go to a party in linden, new jersey. I left the bronx over a hr later and I pass them park in a wendy parking lot. The problem they encounter was the street that they was suppose to turn on didn't have any sign, so they follow me and we was there in a few minutes. I reluctantly give her my mio 520 to go back home.
Once you go gps you don't go back to the paper map. You just have to realize that gps in general is not 100% accurate.

  5. After my previous Mio320 was stolen (some buggers busted into my car window while i was out for 10 min only), I explored the newer possibilities and fell for this one- and that was a good decision. For this price, the service is JUST LOVELY. It got all the things that one may wish to have: mp3 player, bluetooth for handfree (works well with my Samsung Blackjack), text-to-speech, fast enough computation, somewhat outdated map (but you can update it). The look is great and sleek, fits into the shirt pocket easily even with a large enough screen.

    Few minor downsides:
    1) Don't particularly like the shrill voice- last version was soothing

    2) Could not figure out any hard-button for the VOICE (volume)- so if you are running mp3 player, you need to go to that application (via touchscreen) and then control the volume.

    3) Few more hot-buttons for easier access would have been helpful, e.g., connecting to cell phones while on move, instead of going through the whole touch-screen

These are just little hick ups, but, all in all, THE PRODUCT IS GREAT for the price and rating any less than 5 would be misleading...

and now the last sentence: its too good, do not ever leave it in the car even for 1 min; i learned it the hard way :)

  1. The Magellen CrossOver comes with one in the box, so you don't need it unless you want to leave it in a second car.

  2. My car adapter for Magellan Roadmate 2000 quit working. It was miserable resorting back to road maps. Amazon to the rescue. The right product at a good price shipped quick. My Navigator is working like a charm again--so good to hear my Magellan girl's voice!

  3. Facts: I placed the order with expedited shipping on day 1. On Day 2 I called and requested the order be cancelled since I did not receive notification from Amazon that it shipped. At that time, their customer service person informed me it was already shipped, and with expedited delivery, they could not recall it - fair enough I thought. Latter in Day 2 (4 hours latter) I received notification from Amazon that the item had shipped.

On Day 8, with a total shipping distance of 400 miles to cover from the vendor's door to my door, I returned at my expense for refund via US mail. The vendor received it back faster than I got with EXPEDIATED SHIPPING, which was also the reason they claimed they could not stop the order.

In the end, I was refunded $13.00 for an item with a Subtotal purchase price of $17.43 with $16.98 in Shipping Handling to me. Clearly they charged me some form of restocking fee when they received it back.

Choose the company you purchase from wisely; do not focus on the price.

5 comments about Magellan Maestro 3200 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator.
  1. I bought the Magellan 3200 a couple of months ago and I'm happy to say that I'm very satisfied with its performance. I owned a Garmin c340 prior to buying the Magellan and the Magellan simply outperforms the Garmin in many aspects.

    PROS:
    1) Startup Time - The 3200 starts up in under 10 seconds. The initial satellite lock-on time is under a minute. Most of times, if you're at the same place you turned off the unit, the lock-on time is under 30 seconds. However, if you turned the unit off and took a plane across the country, it takes a bit longer to get the initial lock-on.

    2) Signal Strength - I have never lost reception with the 3200. Although to be fair, I've also never driven into a tunnel or deep into an underground parking garage.

    3) Recalculation time - I have missed my turns lots of times, either on purpose or by accident. The 3200 can handle most of them pretty well. I've only experienced one time where the unit told me to make a u-turn because it can't figure out any other way to get to my destination.

    4) GUI - The UI is very clean. The type to display response time is very good (<1 second). I love the way 3200 takes away the letters as you type and suggests the city/street before you finish typing the whole thing.

    CONS:
    1) Calculated Route - Sometimes you need to double check what it gives you. I would say 95% of the time, the route is probably good enough. It doesn't have traffic capability, so you might use some common sense when it gets to rush hour. However the other 5% of the time, you'll get a route that blows you out of the water. It'll add an extra 100 mile onto your route when you're just driving to the next city for some dinner. I don't know what prompts these errors, but usually you can spot it.

    5) "North" & "South" - I don't know if this is Magellan's way of getting you to pay for the more expensive units, but half the time, the unit won't tell you if you're suppose to get onto the freeway in the NORTH or SOUTH direction via text-to-speech. The screen still displays the N/S, but it just won't pronounce it. So whenever you're getting onto the freeway, you have to sneak a peek at the display to figure it out.

Overall, I would highly recommend this product if you're looking for an entry level GPS unit with text-to-speech function. It lacks some bells and whistles that the other more expensive units have, but hey, as long as I get to where I need to be, I'm a happy camper.

  2. I purchased this GPS for my husband last Christmas and we both liked it so much that we kept moving it from car to car. I decided to get one just for me and I found a Tom Tom on sale. Big mistake, I hated it. I could not understand how to work it, it kept falling off my windshield etc. I ended up selling the Tom Tom and getting another Magellan. Lesson learned. Stick with a good thing.

  3. I love my new GPS, I only wish I had gotten one that says the name of the steet. I will definitely be upgrading in the near future. No more mapblast.....

  4. I picked up the Maestro 3200 for $120 including the shipping to my house. The product itself works pretty well and I love how slim and light weight it is. This gps is a little behind where you actually are driving and takes a little longer than my older TomTom to re-calculate routes. That said the price and size greatly outweigh any negatives that I have about the unit. Great GPS for $120!

  5. This is a great little GPS. The 3.5" screen is a perfect size and the grapics are very helpful. Well designed. The only drawback for me is that you cannot search for business' by name. It does show nearby gas stations, and many other points of interest. Well worth the money.
