1. I got this unit because it was recommended for a Nikon GPS project. The instructions required this puck to be ripped up and the working innards to be relocated to a tiny project box along with Nikon's MC35 cable innards. I am happy to report that this is a snappy SIRF Star III device which now contributes to lat long and UTC time stamps on the EXIF data on my Nikon D300..

1. This unit was easy to install. Now, my Roadmate 760 gets live traffic updates. In addition to being able to see roadwork, accidents, and other impediments on the map, the routing will adjust for them. It seems that the estimated travel time is more accurate now as well.
   
   An unexpected benefit of this kit was the software upgrade that came with it. Several roads near us were always spoken by their less common names (e.g. "V-62") instead of the primary names (e.g. "Quentin Road"). Now, the unit speaks the more common names of these roads. Maps were not updated, though. They are still quite old.



2. Found it fairly to self install and everything appears to be working but I have not been near any of the traffic problems listed in the 'warning', so I have yet to see the warning icon come up on the screen.

1. If it works great! If you have a question or need support, forget it!!! I sent a email to Garmin support "5 to 7 days" for a reply. Ah, call them, 9 to 5 CST and a 90 minute wait.
   
   I love the GPS but needed help with charts and learned that Garmin does NOT SUPPROT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!



2. It is what it is, an unlock code for Garmin Map Source. They are all the same but Amazon's price (with free shipping) was the best I could find.
