4 comments about Garmin 010-10691-00 UK and Ireland City Navigator NT.
  1. Was travelling to the UK .. I have a Garmin C 330 and wanted the UK maps got them for 1/2 price and they worked well .. The Garmin did take a long time to initially 'acquire satelle' and was constatntly 'recalculating' but it did get us there

  2. Amazon had a great price for this chip. It was approximately half the price on the Garmin site. The GPS did recalculate occasionally, but this was not a big issue. This beat the heck out of trying to read a map of the tiny little roads in the irish coutryside (with surprisingly fast speed limits). I recommend this product.

  3. We recently went to Ireland for 7 days and relied upon our Garmin as we toured in a rental car. The roads are not always well-marked and the UK/Ireland Plug & Play saved the day more than once. Be aware that there are times you wind up "recalculating" more than you want, and some of the newest motorways are not on this version but all-in-all money well spent!

  4. GARMIN CITY NAVIGATOR NT UK & IRELAND ON MICRO SD CARD

Product worked great - slid the chip into my Garmin and put 2000 miles on the rental car driving around Ireland.

Complaint - NO instructions or help information in with the product.

5 comments about Garmin Automotive Suction Cup Mount for Rino Series GPS (010-10860-00).
  1. I bought a Garmin Zumo 450 for my motorcycle and wanted to use it in my car also. Bought this suction cup mount to use in my car. It works great and is very easy to mount and dismount from the windshield. The built-in speaker volume is better than I expected. Good product. You will also need to buy a cigarette lighter adapter to power it in your car.

  2. I had to get this so I could mount my Zumi in my car. It is a shame that Garmin could not just create a suction cup to attach to the motorcycle mount. But that would not earn them the money that selling an entirely new mount and power cable does (the power cable from the motorcycle mount does not fit the car mount). The complaining aside, the mount is of good quality and easily attaches to the windshield. And it stays. The mount does supply the built-in speaker that the Zumi lacks. However, the speaker is small and does not provide the best of sound. It is adequate for the spoken GPS directions but is not of much use for the MP3 player. If you are going to use the MP3 player in your car you are better using one of the FM transmitters and playing it thru your car radio. 4 stars due to the weak speaker.

  3. If you don't have this "auto mount" for your motorcycle inclined Zumo 450/550 then you "gotta have it". This lets you very easily swap that Zumo between your bike and your car. Unlike other GPS "suction cup" mounts, this one "works". Garmin definitely did their homework on this mount and came up with a "no fail" suction device. It "holds" until you release it. I use my Zumo on every bike ride, however, it is in my car on every "road trip". My Zumo never lets me down. I don't even bother to bring an atlas or maps any more. Zumo "Jill" is all I need. Yea, get this mount.

  4. Can't mate the mount properly to my Zumo 450. I get no sound, even plugged in. I believed the connection would do that.

  5. Is the 12-volt vehicle DC power adaptater being a subset of the automotive suction cup mount for Zumo ?.

  1. WOW! A suction cup mount for your GPS! It's the same as the one in the box with the GPS. Works the same! Good to have for a second car.

  1. I'll reiterate comments from several other reviewers.

It is a pretty nice case, but has some minor flaws. First, it is a very tight fit for my 76CSx. Somewhat of a struggle to get the GPS in the case. It does provide a clear view of the buttons and display. Second, I too worry about the seam where the window is sewn onto the fabric. Due to the tight fit, there is a lot of tension on the seam and one has to be extremely careful when trying to get the case to slide over the GPS. Third, a storage pouch for spare data cards would be great.

With some minor tweaks this could be an excellent case. Will have to see how it holds up in use.

    LB

  2. I had no problems with the reported tightness of the case. It simply fits snugly, which is as I'd expect. (Though it may take a moment of fiddling with the case to center the GPS display in the case's plastic window.) The display is reasonably visible through the plastic window, and the buttons aren't too hard to press. I noticed no satellite reception issues that would be attributable to this case.

My only complaint with this case is that the carabiner is on the wrong end of the case, so that when I attach it to my backback's shoulder strap or belt, the unit is upside-down when I flip it up to look at it. To compensate for this, I have to hold the unit sideways and tilt my head at an awkward angle. Pretty silly.

  3. After reading other peoples reviews of GPS Cases, I decided on this one as it allows you to view your GPS screen with the cover on. It has already paid for itself in protecting my GPS unit from major damage as I took a fall with it in my hand. It fits perfectly. I would buy this one again.

  4. A bit of a struggle to insert the GPS unit inside, but it does provide an extra level of protection for the unit, which is reassuring. Plastic does reduce the visibility slightly, but it is still easy to use and much easier to carry.

  5. After receiving a replacement GPS 72 from Garmin, due to the original unit dying in the rain, i was after something to give me GPS a little more protection.

This cover fits like a glove and allows you to access and use the unit without removing it, a downside of the cover that Garmin themselves provide.

5 comments about Case Logic GPSP-2 Professional GPS Case for 4.3-Inch Flatscreens.
  1. Caution,,,, I bought this for the Garmin Model Nuvi 760 GPS. It is too small. The top corners of the case are rounded, whereas the GPS unit has square corners. It is impossible to close the case. I'm going to return this case. Otherwise it is a nice case, although I would have expected a little padding on the inside, there is none.

  2. Overpriced for what you get but it does fit the Navigon 7100 relatively well.

The clamshell case, with elastic bands on the sides that limit the width of the opening, has one side with an elastic pocket.

The Navigon 7100 wedges securely in the pocket and reduces the chance of the GPS falling out. If you don't use the pocket side to store your GPS then there's a good chance of it rattling about when stored and falling out when the case is opened.

There's no real padding on the synthetic cloth covered sides of the case but it does come with a small strap and soft cloth which you'll need to use to wipe off all the fingerprints resulting from having to extract your GPS by grabbing it's front and back instead of by its sides.

This is an overpriced mediocre case with limited benefit but is still better than the cheap cloth bag provided by Navigon.

Get this case if you have nothing else available to use.

  3. I purchased this case for the Garmin 760. I'm not sure why the other reviewer mentioned it did not fit the 760
but my brand new Garmin 760 fits perfectly inside with extra space! There is 1 inch of extra room on the top and 1/4" on each side. and plenty of room on top to close the zippered lid. All this while slipped into the mesh screened pocket inside.
It came with a soft cloth and wrist strap with a swivel clasp to connect to the case.
This is an awesome case with a little extra room for a memory card and protective shields.

  4. This case fits my Garmin nuvi 260W with room to spare at the top. The hard outer shell is well constructed, but no padding inside. A side mesh pocket holds the gps in place and a cleaning cloth is included. There are 2 elastic bands that keep the case from opening fully, but they are designed to keep the gps from sliding out the sides.

The case arrives wrapped in plastic, and the carry strap and cleaning cloth are held in place by a plastic tie which must be cut to use.

  5. OK, I thought this was going to be a smaller package but this carrier has more space than I was looking for. It is sturdy, and it has a mesh partition where the unit can slide into to keep it in place. This though helpful to store the unit, it is a bit challenging to remove the unit quickly. Yes, I may be overreacting here but I just feel it is so.

The case will hold the unit and the charge cable comfortably if you're using the TTN cable from Garmin. The MSN cable has a larger head and you have to play with it to make it fit. Also note, take caution to place the unit in the mesh compartment with the screen facing the wall of the case and the back of the gps facing the power chord.

Other than that, I feel it's a good case and I do like the carry strap as it swivels 360* so it doesn't get tangled up.

  1. The product seems fine just that the zipper doesn't open and close easily. May try some spray on it.

  2. I was not happy with the carrying case. I returned the carrying case for my TomTom One XL-S. Too tight of a fit. Had to take the back off the GPS system to fit in case. I purchased a "camera" bag which allows me to put the whole GPS system (GPS and holder) in the bag without having to take it apart each time I remove it from the car!

  3. This is the 2nd Tom Tom One XL I have purchased. It is very affordable through Amazon rather than through Tom Tom Home web site. It performs well but the battery life of the non-replaceable battery is the draw back for me. For 2 1/2 hour trips I have to plug it in to the automobile power

  4. This fits the TomTomXLS perfectly. And if you want to just charge it in the car with it in the case, just put it in upside down and don't zip it. It doesn't add weight, which is great since I always put my TomTom in my purse whenever I leave the car. I do worry that the "string" connecting the wrist strap to the case my break since it seems very thin, so I don't use the strap.

  1. Product received was not a newer looking model and was not identical to the picture. It was supposed to be black and it is more of a faded black or grey. Also the zipper is hard to use. Otherwise it is okay for protecting the Tomtom. Hopefully it will last as long as the device.

  2. The dimensions are actually 4.25 x 3.75 x 1.25. The product description said it was 8 inches in length, so I figured I could fit the power cord in there too. No go, I will have to send it back.

  3. This was listed as an accessory for my TomTom One 130S. Nope, didn't work. The 130S is too big.

  4. This case fits the Tom Tom One Third Edition we bought well, but isn't padded as much as I hoped or expected it to be. It may keep the screen free from scratches, but don't expect too much impact protection. If you keep the Tom Tom in the center console this is ideal; if you take it with you, you might want to compare other options before you buy.

  5. Great cover. No one had it. A friend of mine told me to try Amazon, I did, and I found it.

  1. This came with the Zumo when you buy the Motorcycle package. I didn't know now I have two. One I used on my Trike. Works well easy to use and connect. You may ask why I don't send it back and get money back well I saveing it for when I get another motorcycle I can move the Zumo back and forth easily.

  2. Not required unless you need to move your unit from one bike to another, or need to replace a damaged one.

  3. The prompt shipping of this product in stock would cause me to order again without hesitation. It is all that was advertised; the small mounting screws with thread-lock were included.

  4. you need this cable for the zumo mount. 4 pin connector that has 2 rubber ears on it to screw it to the mount so it won't vibrate loose. Garmin did their motorcycle vibration homework on this one. Price seems a little steep until you realize that is one connection that you'll never have to worry about or cause you grief miles from nowhere. Cable was plenty long enough to go from my handlebar mount under the gas tank to the battery box below and behind the seat on my VTX. Has it's own 2 amp fuse rubber incased in the wire lead. Took me longer to take the tank off then to wire up the Zumo. Good engineering Garmin! 5 stars on this one.
