5 comments about Garmin 12-Volt Vehicle DC Power Adapter for the StreetPilot C510 and C550 (010-10747-03).
- I bought this because I didnt need te fm transmitter cord for all my vehicles as local traffic updates are not available yet in my vicinity and the power cords with the FM transmitter is like $90..
This plugs in and powers the base just like the more expensive one does and now I have the ability to move my Nuvi from base to base without moving the cord in all three vehicles.....:-)
- This power adapter for the car works better than the one that came with the Garmin I purchased.
- This sand-bag type mount for Garmin GPS works great in my Dodge Caravan. It does not slide or move at all even when I round those curves at high speed. Easier and better than window suction cup mount.
- Received product but it was not the product advertised. Wrong adapter for my Garmin. Had to return product and request refund. First time I have ever had a problem with Amazon. Maybe you should stick to selling books.
- This charger is VERY FLIMSY. We used it for about a week before the charging pin section came apart - now it does not work. IF AMAZON READS THIS - I expect a replacement OR my money back.
This so-called OEM is absolutely not worth the $20 you pay - especially for the flimsy construction.
Aweful - that about says it right!

5 comments about Garmin MapSource Topo U.S. 2008.
- Highlight: The actual Mapsource program, for transferring maps to your handheld Garmin. Lowlight: The actual TOPO map included on the DVD. For my area, it has some kind of datum error, off by almost .1 mile. Contours seem OK, placement of POI not so much. Found a much better Colorado topo map on the Web.
- I had this software navigate me through the United States from North Dakota all the way down to to Texas and South end of florida. It did quite well however I was at times awed by how well and accurate it was. Then other times I was awed at how inaccurate it was(usually only out on the open road that it would be out by so much). Bottom line I am glad I had it along.
- These maps are almost essential if you have an etrek unit. The maps that come with the etrek are woefully deficient and you need to upgrade them. But even these maps could be more detailed especially for the hiker or geocacher. For topographical maps, these are not very detailed and if you want to route plan cross country you will need much more detailed maps. However depending on what maps you get, you can set waypoints on the more detailed maps and transfer them to the etrek and they will overlay the Mapsource maps.
- Hello
I like this item but the hidden unlock code had me ready to throw it in the trash. After I found the unlock code between the shipping package card board everthing worked fine.
I was only able to down load one state (SC) into my Garmin Etrex but it works fine & I would recommend for cars, bike or hiking.
Kevin
- I use this software on my Garmin etrex hand held GPS for hiking. No matter where I hike the map base covers fire roads, or any well established hiking trails. It shows streams as well as any other bodies of water, etc. Very pleased with map data base.

5 comments about Garmin Dashboard Mount for StreetPilot c310, c320, c330 and c340 (010-10613-00).
- works much better than a suction cup. though it'll move around a little on NYC (pothole) streets.
- Product permits GPS to be placed in the most convenient position on dash. Also doesn't leave telltale ring from suction cup on windshield, which reduces chance of break in and theft.
- This mount works extremely well. I tested it going thru mountains in Utah with many curves,I had no problem.
- After buying a Garmin C340 GPS and having it fall from the windscreen too many times, I had to do something. I had heard of various mounts that would just sit on the dashboard and prevent the GPS from bouncing around the car. I looked at some of the generics but finally decided on the OEM version. It has worked. The dash mount does slide around a wee bit, but it is something that can be handled. The mount is obviously bigger and heavier than the windscreen mount that came with the GPS - and less portable - but it does the trick: it keeps the GPS in one basic place. I thought the cost was a bit pricey, and now I have two sets of power cords, but all-in-all, it is better than the GPS from falling from the windscreen at the most awful moment.
- When I purchased my 1st c340 a couple of years ago, I looked for options other that the suction cup on the window. I found it--this contours to any dash I've used it on, doesn't slide, and takes seconds to setup the GPS. I purchased another one for my 2nd GPS purchased-- I wouldn't use anything else for a mount...

5 comments about Garmin 010-10723-02 Carrying Case For Nuvi.
- Ordered the Garmin 760 (4.3 inch screen) with matching cases and received the 3 inch case! Very disappointed.
- Yes, this fits a Garmin Nuvi, and it says which models it fits on the package when you receive it. Unfortunately, the Amazon description does not tell you which models. I bought a Nuvi 760, and under accessories, this was presented. I ordered it, but when it arrived it was too small for the 760.
- I love it! I have always had difficulty with directions and this device solves the problem - it even gets me home after taking me somewhere. It is necessary to TRUST it though - it hasn't let me down.
- This case fits my non-wide Nuvi 250 very well and looks nice too. The open end, however, is a problem. Within two weeks, the Nuvi slid out, fell on the road, and got scratched. Thankfully, the device still worked fine, but when I get another GPS (in 2 or 3 years), I'll get a case that closes all around the GPS.
- Should have ordered the one for the Nuvi 760 instead of the Nuvi....
Slightly small for the Nuvi 760...But does work...

5 comments about Garmin A/C Power Cable for nüvi Portable GPS Navigators (010-10723-00).
- Placing the order was simple and fast. The Garmin power cable was reasonably priced and the order was filled promptly. It works fine and arrived 2 days earlier than expected. I would not hesitate to order from amazon again.
- It works great. I've used it twice with no problems. It's great to set up an upcoming trip or just charge my Garmin without having to hook it up in the car.
- Works fine, allow my Nuvi 760 to be used while charging, instead of going into USB mode.
One thing I have learned by chance is that when you use a standard USB cable to connect to a computer, you can get it to go into non-USB mode like the charger, but it's not always straightforward. I've done it by disconnecting, then reconnecting the cable after a few seconds - I guess it gets confused.
- Garmin AC Adapt via USB port w/UK/EUROthe item arrived on time,in good condition and as advertised.
- There are times that you don't want to charge the gps in your car or you might use it on foot, well here's your solution. Charge your gps in home then become the road warrior or path finder. It works great and serves it's purpose well.

5 comments about Garmin 2009 City Navigator NT North America Map Update for Garmin GPS Units, DVD (010-10989-01).
- In the spring of 2007 I bought 2 new Garmin Nuvi's, a 350 and 360. I bought the units online from a vendor. I asked vendor before the purchase if the maps were current, version 9. When I got the Nuvi's they were version 8. I called Garmin about this and they said the new 9 upgrade would be available in July 2007 and it would be free to people who recently purchased. The upgrade finally came Sept 2007. I made a few trips from Florida to Minnesota and Florida to Texas and found many errors in the maps. I would say a 30% error margin. I have my Garmin set at the fastest route not the shortest. It directed me down backroads instead of main highways and to a road that was non existant. Recenty Garmin came out with a new map in spring 2008. They e-mailed me with a $69.95 to purchase this. I wrote Garmin and said with all the errors that this upgrade should also be free or at least get a price break. They stood fast on their price. They actually told me to go to Amazon and I could get it for $10 less. I bought the upgrade from Amazon. Two weeks ago I left Florida for a trip to Minnesota. Trip went fine until I got just past St Louis. It directed me off the Interstate up some state road and up through the areas that had the recent flooding. There were detours everywhere and the Garmin almost had a stroke. Good thing I had old faithful road map with me or we'd still be circling the flood zones. I am very unhappy about maps. Also, I found that a lot of the restaurants that I know has been around is not in the maps. Anyone wanting to buy a Nuvi 360 make me an offer.
- The maps seem to be pretty good but Garmin still refuses to do a good job of updating the POIs. I was hoping that this update would add the recently contructed roads and also remove old POIs and add the new ones. I don't think it did anything with the POIs. If Garmin isn't going to update them then they should give the consumer a way to add their own and to categorize them so that they can be looked up in the same manner as the current preloaded POIs.
- If you want to keep your GPS up to date, this is what you need. It's too bad there are no other ways to update the maps.
- Install was lengthy, but was worth the wait. Enhancements are great. Much clearer speaking the roads to turn onto and much more accurate for restaurants, etc.
- The program takes a LONG time to install, and the installer only will work when the NUVI is connected to your computer. It SHOULD go ahead and install the Mapsource update to your computer as well, but wouldn't for me. After going to tech service a couple of times, I finally learned that to install to my computer I had to use Windows Explorer, go to R:\Windows\MSI and run the file CNNaNT2009update_enu.msi (R: is my DVD drive, "enu" in the file name apparently is for English US). That did it quickly and neatly. Don't know why the installer won't do that.

5 comments about Garmin Carrying Case for nüvi 660 Portable GPS Navigator (010-10823-01).
- Great service from Amazon. The carrying case perfectly fits my nuvi 760. There is no flap to close the top, but I don't consider this a drawback as the case fits snugly and dirt can't slip around the edges. I couldn't be happier with the product, the order and ontime delivery.
- There is not much to say other than it fits the unit like a glove and protects it from life's little problems (like short falls and sticky fingers).
- Don't waste you money on this. I bought one by mistake, and the process to return it seemed so onerous that I just ate the unnecessary cost. If you are buying a Garmin GPS, it comes with an identical case IN THE BOX ALREADY.
- Bought this with the Garmin 650 (which doesn't come with a case). The case is very tight the first couple of times you use it, but it gets better over a short period of time. The GPS won't slip out and it provides decent protection for the screen and unit itself. Be sure to slide the 650 in with the power button first, as this will prevent accidentially turning it on when you go to remove it.
- The case was bought as a present for my husband as well, he doesn't use it much, but I got it just in case.

5 comments about Garmin Vehicle Power Cable for nüvi Portable GPS Navigators (010-10723-06).
- Great service. You need one of these if you use the GPS a lot, like I do.
- When I bought the GPS unit, the site said that this cord was also bought by customers who bought the unit, so I thought I needed it. Turns out it came with the GPS, so I returned it.
- this accessory comes with most Garmins and does NOT need to be ordered as an add on.
- it is not entirely clear from the writeup on the garmin nav, but the garmin comes with a great power cord for the car and a recharger for use with a wall outlet so buying this is not necessary unless you want an extra one.
- Product was exactelly as advertised. Price was the lowest I could find. Deleverywas on time. Everything is good

5 comments about Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad.
- I have a TomTom One and it works great on this base. The Nav-Mat stays put on my 2007 Honda Civic's dash even though it is not entirely flat. This base sold for $40 in the stores but only $12 at Amazon. Plus now I am legal in CA since we can't stick the GPS on the glass due to clear-view laws.
- This is a great product for your GPS systems. I have a TomTom One XL and it's fits nicely inside of the mat using the sunction cup. When driving the mat stays put and you don't have to worry about it winding up on the floor. I have had mine for approx. 7 months now and am completely satisfied with this product. I have given several of these as gifts.
- I have the Garmin 650,which is a fairly large GPS.I did not think it would hold it properly. But after giving it a road test it worked great,no problems at all. Can't beat it for the price.
- Used this for a couple months now, hasnt budged very stable and suction cups never come loose. Have a magellan maestro 4250 and this brings it closer, easier to see and use and you can easily toss it under the seat when you park, leaving no evidence of the gps. Own both a Toyota Corolla and Jeep Liberty and works well in both.
- When I bought my GPS navigator ,I hated sticking the mounting bracket to the windshield this product eliminates that and seems to be more stable ,thumbs up for this product

5 comments about Garmin Portable Friction Dashboard Mount for Nüvi Series and StreetPilot I Series, C530, C550 and C580 GPS Navigators.
- friction mount works better than descibed.....was fearfull of it slipping or moving but it works great....makes it easy to remove from dash....i would buy again
- Very satisfied wirh this product. Stays well on dash and can be stored in glove compartment when not in use. I definitely think it is better than the window mount--safer too. I highly recommend the dash friction mount to anyone who has a portable GPS.
- This product is easy to use and remove from the dashboard. The good thing is it does not leave any indication there was a GPS unit being used by leaving any marks on the dashboard. It stays in place on the dashboard.
- I would not have a nuvi without this bean bag friction mount. It doesn't move when you are driving and there is no remnant on the window of a suction cup signalling that you have a GPS in your glovebox. It is almost like an insurance policy that your GPS won't get stolen. 5 stars ,no doubt.
- It works great. The mount really holds steady to the dashboard. I haven't had any problems with this mount.
