5 comments about Marijuana Flower Forcing: Secrets of Designer Growing.
- This book simplifies the often confusing subject of indoor growing. Tom seems to know the subject better than other indoor gardening authors. All areas of gardening are covered. I liked the book a lot. A must for the cannabis gardener. I especially liked the historical information.
- I thought this book was great, it had it pros and cons. Such as, it didn't describe the drying process in great detail, and we all know this is the most important part. all and all it was a good book.
- Only one page in chapter 4 " Outdoor Growing Tips" that discusses flower forcing techniques outdoors. And,there are only three pages in this "Chapter" !! Lots of good info if you are an indoor grower, but the book did not offer what I was looking for.
- I just finished this book, and while I am by no means an expert, I've "forced" a few flowers in my time. For the most part the information is good and I did find a few nuggets that I definitely will use (very interesting the part about napthelene), but --sorry Tom-- the writing is stinko! The sentence structure is so poor and "high school" that at times I found myself having to read some sentences over and over again so I could understand what he was talking about! I wasn't stoned reading this, but he may have been stoned writing it. There's constant annoying reiteration of material and I haven't quite figured out if that is intentional or just more poor writing. It's kind've like, "As a said in the last sentence and the last paragraph and the last chapter...blah blah blah." I also found a few direct contradictions with other books that are considered classics and tried-and-true bibles on the subject. Ouch Tom! COOLER temperatures promote females, not hotter! Again, a few very interesting points and techniques, but for the most part information that is better had from other books. I recommend spending ten more bucks and purchasing Indoor Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes. A few typos, but the info is excellent, well-researched, well-illustrated, complete and clear.
- OK, here it is: This book is a waste! Very little new information. It is only 76 pages with many pages with just pictures. (...)

- As I was reading this on a flight I kept laughing so much that the lady next me finally asked what the book was about. When I told it was about vegetables she gave me a strange look and didn't ask me anthing else. If you are like me and have a desire to grow a garden but don't have lots for time, then this is the book to get. Lots of practical advice for quick ways to grow tasty foods.
If you want to grow a garden and you want your advice seasoned with humor, then this is the book to get.
- This book is great- funny and informative. Tells you everything you need to know about backyard gardening and makes you laugh and laugh.
- I bought this book because it was a bargain, but ended up loving it! I laughed several times while reading it, however learned so much about vegetable gardening. There are so many great tips for every gardener in this book. I can't wait to put what I've learned to use.

- This book is a keeper. It's a beautiful coffee table book. It has stunning photography of wildflowers and a very nice personal account written by Lady Bird herself.
- Lady Bird Johnson't words are beautiful. Her love of nature and the cleaning up of Washington DC and the Texas highways are good reading; I could have read for hours. The pictures bring the words to life. This book is a keeper in our library for our duration.

2 comments about The Jewish Gardening Cookbook: Growing Plants and Cooking for Holidays and Festivals.
- This book has made my wife and I excited about planting our next year's garden. The book gives easy-to-understand guidance on planting, raising, and cooking many biblical foods, and it explains how the foods relate to Jewish holidays. It's obvious the author loves to garden, and his enthusiasm comes across. The advice is expert and simple. The botanical illustrations are also very pretty. I tried one recipe so far (apple-raisin-nut cake), and it was delicious.
- This is a great book for home gardeners who want to expand their garden to include some "jewish" plants. The book explains how each plant fits in with jewish history and customs. It also tells you how to care for the plants!

2 comments about Plants For Water Gardens: The Complete Guide To Aquatic Plants.
- This is a truly excellent book. For those of you who have already purchased water garden books, you know how frustrating it is when they don't give any detail about the plants they use, ("for a small container garden, use a dwarf water lily..."), but is that beautiful Panama Pacific water lily a dwarf, is it medium, or large? This book will give you those details. It tells you about the foibles of water plants, (did you know that some water lilies will melt in too much heat?) It includes basics on many different varieties of water plants, some basics of planting aquatic plants in the water garden and some very bare-bones on putting fish into a water garden, (but that's not what it is designed for). I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars, because they did not consistently include the common names in the index, even to reference back to the latin name. You can find water lily, which refers you to Nymphaea, but you can't find hair grass except under Eleocharis. If you are looking for a book that covers a wide variety of aquatic plants, I highly recommend this one.
- This is the best book I've seen for Water Garden plants. The detailed discription of the vast veriaty of plants is incredable. I would recommend this book to be the first and perhaps the only book you'll need for choosing your plants for your pond or water garden.
