I wanted the book to help on my PC but it is more for the TV games. It didn't tell me what to do on the PC. I was disappointed because the books are so informitive.
The book is more for Xbox 360 & I don't have that eather. So I am glad I didn't have to paid the whole price for the book.
- The guide was very good and up to their usual standards. The shipping service was extremely fast and excellent.

5 comments about PHP 5 Fast & Easy Web Development.
- Using this book and a few choice websites, I was able to create my very own PHP/MySQL driven website for users to sell books.
I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to learn PHP that have *some* programming experience
- I highly recomend this book to anyone that has no experience in PHP or MySQl and has a desire to learn both. This book's step by step chapters makes it easy to learn and use PHP. Before I was done with this book I was already coding my own PHP/MySQL programs and rewriting open-source PHP programs like PHP-Nuke and phpBB among others. This book is an excelent buy at any price!
- I bought this book hoping to be able todo basic things with PHP 5 and learn the basics of the language, at first it started out fine until i hit the sectin on using variable from there the book is horrid syntax errors that just repeat I don't know how someone couldnt catch them ( does the company and publisher even test the code ? ) thanks to everyone in ##php on irc.debian.net i was able to walk through the next few pages coirecting well over 12 errors in one script and there is no erratta for this on the comapnies site. i started reading again and once again errors in the section on variables from forms
this book is very poorly written I want to sell it but i wouldnt wish this book on my worst enemy please for your own good stay away ive been in the IT field and a linux user for 7 years this book is just horrible and confussing after page 70
- This book starts great with step by step instructions to get going on installing a WAMP/LAMP evironment and creating a DB, but then the author hits the turbo button and creating your first table involves loops, counts, subsets, if/else, and other programming techniques with very little description of what or why....more of a "ohh, put this here" rather than a detailed explanation. For a beginner, I feel like this book will force memorization rather than understanding.
- This book had some errors in it...just typos if you want to call. But hey overall it was a good book.
I just wish it covered a little bit more on the MySQL unit, such as database normalization. I already know how to do it but just for others sake the book should have covered that more.
I also feel the same way about the Object Oriented Programming part. That should have been an entire chapter. Because the major change in PHP 5 is the concepts of OOP in the new PHP 5.
Thats all!

5 comments about Arms and Equipment Guide (Star Wars Roleplaying Game).
- To add a better sense of diversity, this book is an awesome tool.
It give a greater depth to the technical players out there
- Glad I bought this book. The Star Wars RPG left many questions about weapons and technology open. This book answers about 30% of those questions, which is a lot of material.
- For SW fans who absolutely MUSt have every possible variation of weapon, speeder and droid available, then this book is a good purchase, however, nothing in this book is a vast improvement on what's in the core rules.
On the up side, there seems to be no redundancy in this book, meaning that if it's listed in the Core Rules, then it's not listed here. The downside being that you have to have both this book and the Core Rulebook handy for a complete list of items.
A MAJOR NEGATIVE is that there are no weapons/droids/vehicles/etc. tables for quick reference like there are in the core rulebook, which makes comparing items at a glance much more difficult (I got around tis by printing up a comparison table in excel).
Also, to my great dissapointment, there are not starfighters, cargo ships, etc. at all in this book. Only speeders, walkers, bikes, etc., none of which are all that impressive. Infact, save for the armor and possibly the droids, there's nothing impressive about this book at all.
I did, however, like the ability to customize and personalize weapons, armor and--to a limited extent--vehicles.
Some weapons have minor benefits here or there to the ones in the core rules, such as an increase in damage, but at the cost of range and/or accuracy. Spending more will not really get you a superior weapon (unless you personalize). Sorry folks.
I have a HUGE beef with the armor section. Armor lists the type, proficiency requires, cost, max dex bonus, speed, armor check penalty, weight, availability, era, and damage reduction, but not the DEFENSE BONUS the armor provides! WTF???
All in all this book could have been done MUCH better. I don't recommend it.
- WEAPONS
The selection of weapons is HUGE (even adding more types than the RCRB has listed). Each weapon has WPs & break DCs (which I also like). Along with new rules on Customizing & personalizing weapons.
Species chip (a optional device for Sonic weapons) - which increases effectiveness against a selected species (a few species is listed, but a GM can add more if he/she wishes) - and they are pretty cheap too.
ARMOR
Vast selection of armor & protective gear. Also rules for non-human species.
DROIDS
All Astromech units are included (which are my favorite). They also have many, many more droid types & units listed.
VEHICLES
Rules on custimizing. A big selection including : airspeeders, swoops, speeder bikes, and many more.
Also for the STAR WARS fan who is familiar with Tatooine, this book also includes the popular "Sandcrawler".
OTHER
There's even a section on jetpacks & other devices that let you fly.
There are a lot more things in here (buy the book, I'm not telling you everything).
- This is a very useful volume filled with lots of information and ideas for gear. My GM has already used it to modify some of the ships in our game with information from the book. Thanks to that our survival percentage has just gone up. (I'm not thinking about how the danger quotient of the bad guys has gone up too.) ;-)

5 comments about Bully Signature Series Guide (Signature Series(Bradygames)).
- Normally, I have loved BradyGames guides, and have found them to be full of useful strategy, excellent layouts and essential maps to be able to accomplish everything possible in a game. Recently however, their quality has suffered tremendously, and the Bully OSG is one of the shoddiest strategy guides, and in fact books, I've ever come across.
The strategy in most parts of the book is either severely lacking, misleading, or just plain wrong. While the lists of where items are located tend to be accurate, they are about the only consistently accurate aspects of the guide. Times of classes are mixed up, strategies for passing missions and even classes are either nowhere near optimal or are just plain wrong (the main strategy given for passing Shop Class is the exact opposite of what one actually needs to do to pass), and even requirements for how to unlock certain tasks are nowhere near as detailed as they should be. A rather poor job by Tim Bogenn, and one not excused by the changes that likely occurred between the writing of the guide and the final version of the game due to basic strategies being deeply flawed.
But even the bad strategy is nowhere near the worst thing about the guide. This is supposed to be a "Signature Series" guide where production values are through the roof and exclusives are to be found. First off, I'm unaware of any exclusive or special feature that would make this a "Signature Series" worthy guide.
But most importantly, after approximately fifteen minutes of using the guide's maps to find all of the collectible items, the pages started falling out of the guide!!! I currently have a guide that is missing six pages near the beginning due to the pages just coming loose and falling out of the book, and there are about three more that are perilously close to falling out, making me scared to even open the book. In my over ten years of playing video games and buying the strategy guides for them, this has never happened to me, and is absolutely inexcusable.
While the shoddiness of the Bully guide isn't enough to make me not buy BradyGames guides anymore, it is an alarmingly bad production from content to binding, and makes me seriously concerned about the quality control that is currently going on at BradyGames. Other recent guides from BradyGames have been rather lackluster for similar content accuracy and strategy reasons (the Kingdom Hearts 2 OSG leaps to mind), though thankfully none have had the binding issues of the Bully guide.
For now, I would suggest not buying a BradyGames guide without examining its content and apparently its binding quality before purchase. I have never rated a product one star before, but this one deserves that rating.
- My son asked for the game and guide for Christmas. He and his cousins played on Christmas day and loved it. It especially helped to have the guide to assist with the classes and the different missions.
- Quite an interesting game -- being involved in not only trying to keep yourself out of trouble but to accomplish various missions and defeat certain enemies along the way to the ultimate goal of being able to pass your finals but to also gain respect for yourself and overcome everything in your way.
- If you need a game book that has all the info on Bully, then this is it. Literally.
The binding coming unglued after a little use. One page has fallen out.
- I was having trouble finding a few things in the game so I got the guide and it helped me find what I was missing, so it worked for me.

5 comments about Super Smash Bros. Melee: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
- If you need a reason to buy a Gamecube, this game is it. With over 300 trophies to unlock, and many characters and stages of Nintendo's past, this game will keep you playing for weeks. The guide comes with a move list of each character, and ways to unlock everything. Great game, Great guide!
- This book has nothing except ways to get characters. It can be found on the net.
- This book is very good quality. I used it to help me beat the game. I remember Event Match 50 and Event Match 51. I used DK for Event 50 and Jigglypuff for Event 51!!!!!!
- I would like to see a Super Mario Cart 64 book.
- Sure you could get this guide and waste lotsa money, but why would you? Super Smash Brothers Melee is a game that doesn't require the use of "Strategy" guides because there is no basic strategy to give. Sure you could get it for all the events and unlock the secret characters, but again, to aquire most of the secret characters and such, no strategy is needed for it. Also, there is no reason to teach you and of the combos they show in the guide for each character, it just isn't neccessary. I wouldn't want to go out and buy this guide for a game where getting the secrets and unlocking everything is so simple and easy. It's not exactly what you need, considering SSBM isn't your Tekken like fighting game here.
