1. This is a great book for the enthusiast of older Game Boy Color games. The book has information for the following games:

   I found this strategy guide after a fruitless search for a walkthrough or FAQ for Conker's Pocket Tales. It was definitely a big help in helping me figure out how to complete Conker's Pocket Tales. Keep in mind that this single book gives you essentially 11 strategy guides, which is a great value when you consider that it cost me less than $5. It was well worth the money and is a great time saver if you want to play some of these older games. Recommended!!!

1. I really enjoyed reviewing this book,but some of the things thay were in this book have never been in any other Mortal Kombat code books.Also there were some info missing that needing to be in there.If you like Mortal Kombat then this is the book for you.

1. What's missing is basics for those new to racing games, like even fundamental driving techniques, let alone advanced techniques. The writers assumed that the reader had already had experience with PGR2.
   
   It is also limited to providing advice for the "career" mode of play, and not to Playtime, nor the setting up of private Xbox Live sessions with friends. As is usual with such books, the promotional words overhype their own achievements. "Unbeatable online tips" - really?? I think not.
   
   But the car list is helpful as a checklist of what is missing in your garages when you are going for the "own all cars" medal.
   
   And the list of tracks is again helpful as a reminder of key features. The maps of the tracks are fuzzy and very little help in planning the drive.
   
   As I said above, I'm not sorry I bought it, but the cover led me to expect better.
   
   Augment this book with searches in online forums, where PGR3 players post useful stuff that is outside the scope of this book, like "How to earn the Style Racer achievement" (Google this!)

1. Well, i'll tell you this...Prima's guide is ten times better than the Brady games guide, and that's something that doesn't happen often. First off, the maps...The prima games guide has maps that actually resemble what the game looks like. The maps have all the details that are in the game, and point out where everything is...the brady games guide looks like the maps were drawn with a big marker...they just show the outline of the levels, with no details really. The prima games guide gives enough information to get you through the game without walking you step by step through the game...this alows the guide to be effective without spoiling the story. The one complaint with this is that it doesn't have a answer section to the treasure box puzzles...these puzzles force you to look around for 4 sets of these books that give you the answer to the puzzle box. If this guide had just given the answers to these puzzle boxes, you would just be able to get the item in the box without having to perform the annoying task of finding the code and then backtracking to the box. Otherwise, this is a great Guide, one of Prima's best.

2. I bought this game years ago and have to say it's really fun -- the first time you play it. This is one of those games I would love to play over and over again, but there are short movies throughout the game that you can't skip. Also, Anubis guides you around in the form of a jackal, and well, he gets kind of annoying because he speaks for long periods of time and you can't skip his instructions. I mean, it's fine the first time you play it, when you're all lost, but it gets really tiring and frustrating after that. Other than that, the game is really entertaining, fun, and educational -- so I give it 4 stars (I would've given it 3.5, but oh well).

4 comments about Sid Meier's Civilization III: Advanced Strategies (PTW & GOTY) (Prima's Official Strategy Guide).

1. The Play the World Strategy Guide is nothing more than a printed version of the Civlopedia, which is included with the game. The "strategies", if we call them that, can be summed by saying: "win the game". The manual reminds players to keep the end objective of winning in mind, but provides zero guidance on how to get there. Anyone with a week of playing experience could probably right a more insightful look into the game.



2. I thought this book was pretty good. A lot of it is review (for me) but I did learn some other strategies and tricks. The tricks weren't as useful as I thought, but besides that, the book provides good information for beginners and veterans.



3. If you purchase the game and take your time, you can soon learn almost everything that is in this book. What is missed are special strategies and techniques, shortcuts, more than just the rote recitation of what you get with the game itself.

   I love CIV III despite the almost absurdly long times at the end. Especially fun are the huge games in which you are sometimes centuries meeting your nearest neighbor. The one thing I don't like about the game: It is nearly impossible to keep a city once it is captured as it almost always reverts back to its former status. Fix this bug!

4 comments about Tropico Official Strategy Guide.

1. This strategy guide is a disappointment. Apart from strategies for the individual scenarios, the book is almost a complete re-hash of the game's manual. If you're looking for slightly more detail (or better proofreading) than in Tropico's manual and can't be bothered to look for the information online, then this book is for you. Otherwise, spend your money on something else.



2. This official guide rehashes most of the information included in the game manual. It does include some mechanics (like how scores are calculated) and strategies for the individual scenarios.

   If you want winning strategies that can be applied to most cases, download the very good Unofficial Tropico Strategy Guide from gamespot.com




3. Save your money. There is nothing new in this book. You can learn as much by reading the directions that come with the game, then playing the game a few times.



4. This book is a great help to the beginner and long-time player alike. I found great information, writing clearly and easy to understand. Helped give me the confidence to try some of the hardest scenarios!

1. This book was helpfull to me a lot. I wouldn't even play without having this book open to the right page. The game starts out easy, but you will need a players guide.

1. This book contains everything you need to know for maximizing the playability of Mask of Eternity. Well worth the money!!



2. On page 202, location number 10 for the unlit candle is wrong. The candle is located in the hallway next to this room. Otherwise a usefull guide.



3. This guide book provide most of my solutions to my quest. A 5 star book with detailed maps and clear infomation sails throughtout my game. Only one error on the unlited candle but overall is a triple plus.



4. This book is essentially a walkthrough. It is pretty effective in locating specific items and such. It does not have lists for weapons, armor, or enemies. I really cannot say much else.
