- This book sucked! A blank note book would have been as much of a help as this guide was. All I can say is if I were blind and this were my guide I would be walking though an intersection in the middle of rush hour. I implore you not to waste your money on this book. If you want a real guide buy the one produced by the company. It may be a little more expensive ,but it is a million times better.
- They didn't get names right. They didn't know thier right from thier left. They used the wrong strategys when it came to beating bosses.
- This certainly WAS unathurized -as the company would NEVER allow something the bad to be official!! The translation of the game was terrible and it didn't even cover everthing! This is just about as accurate as the Dic dub of Sailor Moon was to the original! O_o;
all I have to say is that it's a good thing I got it free with my preorder!
- It could've been better, they do have great boss strategies and walkthroughs. There are some problems not all there info is accurate, like names of items and such, I think mainly because they got mixed up w/ the game that cam out in Japan too. They don't tell you what level you should be for certain bosses, but not most strategie guides do, I used this throughout the game and didn't find too much trouble w/ it. I havn't seen any others guides for this most excellent RPG.
- Walkthoughs OK. They are mostly hand drawn, and in b&w. I found better help on webpages. I ended up not even using the book because of it's inaccuracy. There are many webpages out there that have full color screen shots that are not hand drawn, and dont spoil the game. I would not recommend this book.

5 comments about Omikron: The Nomad Soul (DC): Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
- This is the best strategy guide I have ever used. Everything was completly explained in detail and was very easy to follow. The game was very hard and without this I could not have beaten it. If you own the game or are going to buy it you will definatly need the guide, and trust me, it's worth it!
- The game is similar to Resident Evil:CV, and if you are like me, they you probably have trouble solving puzzles. In the game, there are many objectives that are completed by being different people, and you may have trouble figuring out how to solve the puzzles and who you have to be to solve them. Although strategy guides defeat the purpose of these types of games, it is also no fun if you get stuck and cannot find your way around the game. I recommend this book if you get stuck easily. Prima's Strategy Guides are very thorough, and with this book you won't miss any secrets.
- Omikron: The Nomad Soul is much, much more than a game. It is an entire world. When you start it, you truly feel that you are leaving this world and entering another. All the cliches like groundbreaking, innovative, and evocative hold true with Omikron but they do not do it justice.
Omikron: The Nomad Soul is so vast, so deep, and so multi-threaded that the Prima Official Strategy Guide is an absolute must have. No matter what your level of familiarity with Omikron is, you really do need this guide. There are many places that you've never visited in Omikron, many characters you've never met, and many sub-plots you've never followed. And they are all here in the Prima guide. The incredible level of detail, the descriptions of the numerous elements encountered in the game, and the why and how of doing what you do while in Omikron are all here. Page after page of full color screen shots, maps, descriptions, character studies, hints and tips, and much more are to be found in the guide. It is beautifully done with 175 full color glossy pages packed with information about Omikron that the serious devotee has to have to get the most out of the world/game. Omikron: The Nomad Soul is sure to become a classic in interactive entertainment, and the Prima Official Strategy Guide is a great accessory to the world/game, and is also quite beautiful in it's own right. Buy this book, you will not be disappointed.

- Omikron is a very fun game, but sometimes it gets pretty tricky. Some of the navigation through rooftop labyrinths just aren't something you're going to get right away, and there are other things like secret characters, or directions on how to obtain the goals. One thing is when you're trying to blow up a bridge, there's this big section you have to run through and switch buttons on to create a distraction while shooting and running to a specific door that will take you to rafts that will take you to the bridge. That's pretty crazy. The book tells you what to do. It has great graphics, easy to understand step-by-step directions, and helpful hints on what you could do to make it easier before you go into these parts of the game. It was very useful to me and I highly recommend it to anyone who has the game.

5 comments about The Sims: House Party: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
- This book is really great for any sims gamer! I gives all kinds of useful info! I use it every day! I've read the whole thing billions of times, it even gives you a timeline on how to throw a good party! And I found this out from the book, but a moose head tells you how good your party is! If it's antlers are drooping it means your party..., but if your antlers are high up, it means you are throwing a great party!
- It's not that it's poorly written or even that it doesn't have info but I guess I was expecting something that would help me. If you want to learn some strategies don't buy this book. common sense will tell you what they did. I was hoping for some real good stragegy but there isn't none. But if you do want to know little stats like how much your social goes down when you're at work then yeah this is for you. and the thing on the ghost with the campfire was neat. That's about it. But don't waste your money. You can figure this stuff out at the sims.com..
- i am lauren and i would like to say i'm deeply in love with anything of sim's!! i never knew about it till my sister told me about it. as soon as she finished telling me all about it,i raced to the computer and went to sims.com. i was really excited about it. i went to the shopping page and bought it. i just could not wait till it arrived!! when it did, i didn't bother reading about it cause i was so excited about it all and was curious to find out about it myself. well i hope people enjoyed playing the sim's game. and for those who haven't played them, you are in for a huge surprise cause i think it's just fantastic!! you will love it!!......hopefully!
- I find this to be an incredibly good guide. Not only does it cover two games (original Sims and House Party) in one, but it gives excellent advice. It also has a bit of humor in one section (Chapter 8) The book has a total of 15 chapters, each describing something else. While one chapter goes into detail on Sim's personalities, another talks about throwing parties. Another chapter has a buying guide, with tips on what to buy, while another chapter is dedicated to telling you who can show up at your parties and how to get them to show up. The book also has pictures. This book is very helpful if you are having trouble holding good parties in the Sims House Party.
- I LOVE THE SIMS GAMES! they are so much fun. if you buy the sims games your money is being well spent. but there was just one thing that was a bummer it is that it does not work on XP it says it does but i have XP and a few of my friends do and it does not. but other than that it is awesome and fun a great thing to play when you are bored! I hope u get it and enjoy it!

5 comments about Wizards & Warriors Official Strategy Guide.
- OK, it's not the best strategy guide, but given the skimpy manual and the glossy but inaccurate map that comes with the game, it gets the job done. As an early reviewer wrote, there are missing parts and some serious errors. What really hurts the most is the lack of a "by the numbers" walk through: First do this, then next you go here, don't go to C before you've talked to B, etc. There is some of that, in a few places, but not nearly enough. And the encounter guides give you little information on how tough your foes will be. For example, it ought to say don't try the toad quest until your party is at level xxx and has yyy hit points or you'll be slaughtered. So, is it worth the money? Yes, but just barely!
- This book has been absolutely no help to me at all in the game. There are errors and omissions, muddy maps that don't have some important areas marked, and it is generally lacklustre in effort. It makes you wonder if the author actually played the game. My suggestion is to save your money, and go to a couple of the websites that exist for the game. The Ironworks has a Wizards and Warriors Forum and there are *accurate* walkthroughs for the game.
- This book is a waste of money, folks. What this guy tells you, you are able to figure out for yourself. I buy the guide so that I don't need to go through all of the combinations and permutations for puzzles that need this type of solution. I buy the guide so that I am sure that I have the right item to solve a problem. I look for accurate information and not misleading strategies. This book did not satisfy my needs. It was misleading, inaccurate and incomplete.
- When I ordered this book I was completely lost in the game, so as many people would I waited patiently for the guide. It was the weekend so I had to wait....but early Monday morning I got it! It was very prompt in delivery :) I want to thank the compnay personally for making my game play a lil easier. The book was a life saver (literally)
- I know some of you guys think this is a waste of money, but i would say this is worth your money. I mean, do you want to print 200+ pages full of words? or would you like a book with pictures and cover everthing in W&W.
Why I put my rating to 5: This book covers all the quest. This book gives you tips for completing quest at certain levels. This book has maps on all the places like forests, swamp or crypts. This book is a easy to understand. And finally, this book is a life-saver!

- I really liked this book.It follows the game of Sonic Adventure 2 very well.In the beginning, sonic is making his way down a down-hill slope, escaping some sort of military attack, and in the end,he has to do some more running escaping from a giant truck that takes up the entire road!!!!This book will keep you on the edge of your seat, folks! So, to all of you readers out there, this is a book you'll enjoy. Chow!!!
- Very resourceful and complete. Detailed maps for each stages, hints, tips and boss explanations! Covers the Story, Characters, Controls, Hero Story, Dark Story and Last Story. Highly Recommended!! If you have Sonic Adventure 2 BUY THIS ITEM!
- This guide is great helped me alot to find those things that I just couldn't seem to be able to find as well as with the chaos I like giudes to help me get te full experience from a game and this one did.
- The SA2 Prima Guide is very helpful but is has a few mistakes in it. 1. Page 5 In the section Knuckles and Rouge Punch or Kick attack. They have a picture of Eggman instead of Knuckles. 2. Page 6 In the swimming section it shows Rouge using her treasure scope instead of swimming. 3. Page 39 For Mission 4 In Metal Harbor it says you have 5 minutes. This is not true you only have 2 minutes in the game.

- I do not know if the tax is adde
- I got this book in order to understand the game I brought. It has all the information I need. Character profiles, special and finishing moves, combos, links, and opponent strategies. It is in color with clear pictures, but some are too small to make out. There are main problems with this book. One, it doesn't have a Sub-Zero section, just the classic version. Second, it doesn't cover the Sega Saturn version of the game, which I have. It might be similar to the Sony Playstation, but the SS game has some things PS don't have, and vice versa. This is good book to use, unless you are a Sub-Zero fan.
- VERY HELPFUL! EVERY SPECIAL MOVE, FATALITY, ANIMALITY, FRIENDSHIP, BABALITY,BRUTALITY, AND CHARACTER PROFILE. IT EVEN GIVES YOU HELPFUL HINTS HOW TO DEFEAT THE BOSSES WITH EASE.

5 comments about Final Fantasy VIII: Gamespot's Unofficial Ultimate Strategy Guide.
- Buy the official one - this is a load of old nonsense and a complete waste of cash!
- Most people would disagree with me but this book was OK, it wasn't confusing as the official and the side information is well put together.
- I bought this book because I wanted to get into the Final Fantasy game series like my friends and I needed help getting started. This book didn't get the job done. It claims to be able to help anyone from beginners to Final Fantasy experts, but their instructions are no use to the novice. Plus it looks really weird too.
- Okay, the Final Fantasy VIII Offcial Strategy Guide by David Cassady is much better than this! The only up over the official guide is that it has a recommended Junctions list.
To start off, the walkthrough is like reading an FAQ at GameFAQS.com, in other words, no screenshots, no maps, just words. Oh, did I mention that the pages are purple? Not to mention that you could easily go to Gamespot.com and find this EXACT SAME GUIDE only you'll have it for free. There are no stats for bosses and almost no strategy is involved in the guide whatsoever. The guide needs more work because of the fact that with no screens and absolutely no strategy, it leaves for big improvements. If you go to gamespot though, they actually have screenshots. The only other step above the official guide is that the guide has a final boss strategy. Its just a shame that the strategy is so horrible that it can't be done. Now for the secrets. Umm.....what secrets? Oh thats right, the guide has none! I was thinking "hey its an unauthorized guide, it might have more secrets than the official", well, I was wrong about that. Luckily I returned the guide and got my money back. let this be a lesson. Look before you buy, for the love of god look at the guide before you buy it. Now if this was a guide for FFIX it would've been better than the official guide by a long shot. Overall: If you like GameFAQs and like to pay for guides when you could see the exact same thing online, this is the perfect guide for you! Then grimace in shame as you see the exact same thing at Gamespot.com.
- Why bother with this when they have GameFAQs FAQs on their own site!?

5 comments about Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 Official Strategies & Secrets: Official Strategies & Secrets.
- An in depth, and throughly enjoyable book to read, giving you all the inside moves you need to know about Flight Simulator 2000 Proffesional Edition
- I bought the book because of all the great reviews but I didn't care for it much. It had both good and bad parts. GOOD: I really liked how it walked you through a different flight for each chapter. He also covers "real-world" aviation not just how to play a game. BAD: He refers to his previous books and leaves a lot of stuff out that I wanted. I am interested in the 182 mostly and he buzzed past that because he covered it in his other book :(
- This book is a must for all flight simmers. It contains detailed information on everything you could wish for. It takes you through steo by step of any "procedure" that you may be unsure of or you simply do not ubnderstand in an understandable language. It covers the normal and professional versions, it is for beginners and experts alike./ If you want to get the best out of Flight Sim 2000 then this is the product that you are looking for. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want ANY help with using flight sim 2000. padge13@hotmail.com It also contains info. on playing FS2000 in multiplayer modes, charts, diagrams and everything that you could ever wish for.
- I found this book a terrific supplement to the manual that comes with the Pro version of MS FS2k. (I don't know if a gamer using the standard version would need more info that this book provides.) It picks up where the Pro user's guide left off, by showing you how to fly the planes like a real pilot. The book is a pleasure to read, as flying details are explained clearly. And the price is just right! :)
- I am a private pilot and had no clue about flying big jets and/or ifr concepts. Rather than reading 1000s of pages of aircraft and flight training texts, this book allowed me to learn and have fun with the simulator. It did a good job introducing the aircraft to me as well. It is 99% relevant for the new flight simulator 2002 and I see no reason why one would need to await for a new book to review.
