2 comments about Rygar: The Legendary Adventure (Prima's Official Strategy Guide).
- an acceptable strategy guide if you don't want to spend unnecessary hours finding hard-hidden items and hard-hidden keys to locked doors
while the book provides you with sufficient info. to get through each world, it does not hold your hand too much- it allows you some self-discovery while covering the essentials the major drawback is that the book gives false information on how to access the necromondia cave level. apparently the guide was written using an earlier 'draft' of the game. considering this is the longest, most difficult level in the game, and considering no one at prima temp would help me with this problem when i called...i knocked two stars off this review
- Very disappointing.
First, the overworld maps are no where to be found. You will have to rely on the game's built-in maps to travel around. The author only did maps for the dungeons and provide tactics to deal with Normal mode. Second, the Mystic stones coverage is pathetic. The author only mentions that you must cover all 4 modes-Easy, Normal, Hard and Legendary to get them all. Who doesn't know this?! No in depth descriptions of where to get all 25 mystic stones individually; nor does it show you in its basic walkthrough how to go about doing it. Just one paragraph summary. All secrets revealed? Hardly. Primagames' guides are a mixed bag. And this one written by Rygar looks like it was rushed and very haphazardly done. Stay far far away from it. You can win the game with common sense. I did; and I bought it on the promise of "secrets" hoping to complete my collection of mystic stones. Sadly, it fails to deliver "every item detailed" as advertised on the back of this book.

5 comments about RollerCoaster Tycoon: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
- I recently purchased the official strategy guide for roller coaster tycoon and I really enjoyed reading the book. I've been playing the game now for over three years and the book helped me tweak my playing style just a little bit to really conquer the scenarios.
I would recommend this book to anyone. It is very informative and easy to use. It has a perfect sense of humor for the RCT fans as you read through the book. I would encourage everyone that loves Roller Coaster Tycoon to add this book to your cart and enjoy reading about the game you have come to love!
- Rct 2 is nothing but amazing and even better when they team up with one of the biggest amusement parks. But this game was designed for scenario player in mind.It would have been nice to open a park without goals or restrictions.I'm a freeform player and so far the best freeform games are the sims and zoo tycoon.
- You need this book when you first get this type of tycoon game. Or if you think you are so good, get the book, and then see how much more you know now. YOUM NEED THIS!
- Its a fun game. If you like to build things and problem solve this is totally for you..
- It would seem a difficult and daunting challenge to create a complete guide to RollerCoaster Tycoon that could fully assess and explain all the small yet very important details in a massive game like RCT. Of course, the folks at Prima have, yet again, met and surpassed this challenge. This guide discusses everything, and gives a massive amount of information about each topic. In addition, it exclusively (I believe) features many useful and informative lists, as well as many useful strategies for effective game play. This said, however, does not mean that it's not fun to read, for I found it incredibly enjoyable, much more so than a manual. The authors have a subtle, suppressed sense of humor that helps keep the text interesting, while explaining clearly boring topics. It reads more like a book than a many other guides do; I could hardly put it down. I believe the only drawback is the fact that it is (except for the covers) printed in black-and -white, which can make the pictures seem a little degraded. Pictures greatly help the reader's understanding of the text. For the high-res obsessed, they won't be impressive, but they serve their purpose well enough. For beginners and pros alike, this guide is a great addition to one's shelf, and you may even find yourself reading it more than once.
For those who want more technical information:
220 pages (not including the three introductory pages), 21 chapters. In addition, lists of:
1. All 40 rides with strategies and information for each.
2. Tips and strategies for building all custom non-coasters(coasters are too broad to do lists such as these)
3. All available scenery and themes, both categories, and the individual items, with prices.
4. All attractions, stalls and stands, with statistics and placement strategies for each.
5. Everything that can be purchased, with its price.
6. Easter eggs (no cheats for this game) that have guests do fun things.
7. Informative but brief facts for beating each of the 86 scenerios.
Also, here are some things included in the guide, although in the guide really has way too much to list.
1. Detailed explanation of park finances.
2. Ways to ensure guests have fun.
3. Tricks for maximizing the efficiency of your employees.
Hope you gained at least some knowledge from reading my review, MRW, 12 years of age.

5 comments about Microsoft Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion: Inside Moves (Bpg Other).
- This is a great book IF you are already aware of all the existing strengths and weaknesses of the civilizations that are not new to the Conquerors Edition. In other words, you better have the previous book if you want complete knowledge of all the civilizations.
That having been said, the depth of the analysis for each of the new civilizations is impressive. It tells you everything you need to do to use a civilization's strengths to their best advantage. There is very little general training here, and so is not the right book for 'beginners'. I makes a fine addition to the knowledge base of an already experienced user who needs depth on what's NEW in this edition.
- If you play campaigns and need help, this is the book for you. Over 2/3's of the book is devoted to walking you through the campaigns. If however, if campaigns are a thing of the past for you and you are trying to refine your skills to play against other people... this book is of little help. There are a couple of pages detailing the newest civs to TC, not much more info is offered than what comes with the aoe documentation. There are a few strategies that are described that are pretty basic and are useful if you've never or hardly played before. There is a section that supposedly has tips from the actual ES testers (3 I think)...pretty weak because everyone's preferences are always debatable. Anyway, they pretty much just give their opinions on what civ, what unit and combinations they like best. (To kill your curiosity, most chose Mayans for the archer/eagle scout combo.) Adding links in the book to aoe websites is a waste of space. You're better off going to Google and typing in 'AOK TC' and getting hundreds of links to sites that people actually use. So... since I don't really play campaigns anymore and I am a person trying to find resources to get better playing against other people, I found this book a waste of money. I only gave it an extra star because it details the campaigns pretty good.
- This game is the best game I ever played. I wish I could buy it, but my parents say I can't because they need the computer for taxes and bills and also they don't let me in case it ruins the computer like one of my other games. So I play it at a friend's house. I never seem to get enough of playing it so I am sometimes late home. It is really interesting because some of this is like real life because each civilization is unique in it's own way with special things like each of their special units. Now I guess the only way to but it is if I buy a new computer so I can play on it, because my mom doesn't like me playing the game all the time.
- this book was sooo helpful that it would have taken me twice as long just to complete the scenarios, much less find all the secrets. the illustrations helped, not hinderd, the very deep walkthroughs that used multiple strategies instead of just one straightforward killing spree. i like working alone so when i'm playing true to history by playing as the byzantines and defending against the huns, turks, saracens, teutons, goths, persians and the franks all at once this is my greek fire against them. with it's help i bash aside their light cavalry and charge through their heavy infantry to take the heart out of each and every civilization and leave nothing standing except for mountains upon mountains of skulls... thats why i call myself nick the butcher.
- This book is decent for the price, it gives nice reference material. Just don't look for a lot of tips and strategies here, especially ones that haven't been tried already.

4 comments about Counter Strike (Prima's Official Strategy Guide).
- Does this game really need a strategy guide? There is virtually NO single player game (only good for learning the maps and weapons). This is an online game which means nothing is static about it. Every game will be different based on the skills of the other players. Sure the guide will point out key sniping and camping positions, but you know what, most seasoned CS players already know the best sniping spots and they also HATE campers!!! You want a challenge, send me an invite. Gamertag=bukster
- I ordered this item: counterstrike for xbox strategy guide.
some guy sent me THE WRONG ITEM: counterstrike conditionzero pc strategy guide. how useless and just plain creepy I mean think how many people right now are selling an item to people but there on the wrong list imagine this you order an xbox but the seller you bought it from thought it was the xbox s controller
wow you can use that to play on the xbox that you will have in 3 months when you have enough money to buy one again jeeeezzzz
talk about frustrating now wouldnt that just suck.
- Prima's official strategy guide for the Xbox version of Counter-Strike is little more than a beginner's guide, but it's a thorough one. The beginning section of the guide is an in-depth explanation of the mechanics of the game for newbies with a few useful tips sprinkled throughout. The next part is the most interesting one - the weapons chart which shows you all the statistics for the weapon as well as the weapon's damage effect on an oppponent either with kevlar and helmet protection or without. The rest of the guide goes on to detail the individual maps of the game with overall strategies to detailed tactics. Overall, if you're already a mediocre CS player, you don't need this, but if you're new to CS, I'd consider purchasing it.
- I oredered this guide thinking that it covered the original Counter Strike for XBox. Well, I was wrong. I was instead sent the guide for the game Sounter Strike: Condition Zero, which has the same maps as Counter Strike, but it's not what i ordered.
