3 comments about *OP Trinity Players Guide (Trinity).
  1. Trinity is set in the future after the the aberrants(super heroes gone haywire) came back. This RPG combines the white wolf system with a future setting with some of the most unique in rpg player accessable technology and psychic abilitys that make for a very intersting gaming session. I would reccomend this to any white-wolf fan looking for something other than grim dark supernatural of the world of darkness.

  2. The Trinity Players Guide is, IMO, the best Trinity sourcebook relesed so far. It lacks the color section previous Trinity books had, but its contesnt make up for this loss. Among other things, here you'll find: lots of info about the Aeon Trinity, on par with the Order info found in the Order/Region books; additional stuff about the Orders, which is especially useful if you don't own an Order's book or it hasn't been relesed yet; additional character creation material (merits and flaws, new abilities and backgrounds etc.); detailed information on Psi and Psi-related stuff; and a new, alternate Psi system, more flexible and complex than the one found in the main Trinity book (kinda similar to Mage).

Resuming, this book is fantastic: it isn't as pretty-looking as previous Trinity stuff, but it's essential to any serious Trinity player.

  3. This book contains everything that was cut from the main Trinity sourcebook. Though not required to run a decent Trinity game, it does have some useful information. The sections that contribute most to the game are the parts on the Æon Trinity, daily life in the 22nd century, neutrals and latents, and the merits and flaws.

You will finally get the complete story of the Æon Trinity here, something that should have been in the main book. You'll get info on its role in the world and details on its subdivisions. This section alone is worth the purchase of the book. The Æon Trinity is a good place for psions to go if they don't like the psi orders, governments, or the solitary life.

Many questions regarding daily life were clarified in this book. Though skimpy in substance it is enough to give you a rough idea of the general culture of the world. The sections on neutrals and latents answered a lot of questions regarding their character creation. The merits and flaws sections were basically what you would expect from a White Wolf game though there were a few interesting psion-specific ones.

The other sections elaborated on the psi orders and provided an alternate psi system which is kind of similar to the magic system of Mage the Ascension. It does streamline the system and provide more versatility but I prefer the original psi system from the main book. If you have the other psi order/region books you will not learn a lot of new information from the psi order sections. If you don't than what is in the book should help you out a bit.

This is a good supplement for Trinity. It is a shame that it is out of print since it does fill in a lot of gaps and answers a lot of questions regarding the Trinity universe. There is even information on Quantakinetics.

1 comments about *OP Trinity Field Report: Psi Laws (Trinity Field Reports Series , No 3).
  1. Psi Laws continues the tradition of the excellent Trinity Field Reports series: high quality in a small package at a very affordable price. Like all published Repots, Psi Laws is all-color and in-character. It can be roughly divided in two sessions: one talking about how authorities generally deal with each Aptitude, and another presenting cases in different countries that involved the use of psionic power. The previous two Trinity Field Reports (Extrasolar Colonies and Aliens) were nice, but most of the info found on them has eventually been covered by bigger sourcebooks. Not Psi Laws. The information here is extremely important for a serious Trinity campaign, and here's the only place you'll find it.

  1. I was so excited when I heard about this title. Having read the other titles by the same publisher (Vampire and Werewolf: The Apocalypse)I was sure I was in for a good read. Unfortunatly, the book seems very detailed oriented which makes it long-winded and eventually it is like reading a book for history class and not a role-playing game. I do enjoy the book and look forward to playing the game, but it falls short of the excitment that Vampire generated.

  2. When I first heard about a space suplement from the revised White Wolf system I was enthralled. How would they top their earlier titles? I was surprised by the amazing writing, the depth of ideas and philosophical concepts and how the system wraps all of the earlier systems into one, of sorts. The Vampire, werewolf, wraith, changeling, and mage titles all dealt with the coming of the armageddon and attainment of ultimate power, and if you look at the Aeon concept you will see that this is a game that addresses humanities placement in that battle, with all those supernaturals becoming the abberants, and humanity finally awakening to its own battle. You won't find your religious awakening, as many have tried with Vampire, or an alternate personality as with most of the other systems. Instead, you'll find a game that asks you to use your own human ingenuity, imagination, and creativity, NO MORE NAMBY PAMBY RULES AND DETAILED REGULATIONS FOR THOSE WITHOUT IMAGINATIONS. It may seem long winded, but that's because they are addressing the UNIVERSE, and over 200 years of humantiy that cannot be just brushed over...get this game if you want a true challenge for your character and yourself.

  1. Even better that the player's guide. With the full color illustrations and dazzling page layouts this is a must ready for any Sci-Fi fan. (And be sure to check out the inside back cover. ;-)

  2. This books has great information on the Moon and Mars, some of the moon stuff isn't in Luna Rising. It also has more stuff on Aberrants. More technology, hard and bio, and even some other. It provides a good starting place for beggining GMs and even players. It also gives a good look into peoples lives on other planets, and psion interraction. Not a must have, but very usefull. It gives lots of ideas for games.

1 comments about Trinity Field Reports: Extrasolar Colonies.
  1. ...provided some very important information that wasn't detailed in the rulebook: info about Karoo, Averiguas, Far Nyumba and the other extrasolar colonies. All the infomation is in full color and in-character, much like the first 100 pages of the basic rulebook. Most of the info found here has been expanded in other books (particularly Stellar Frontier and the Alien Encounter adventure series), but it's still very cool as a player handout.

1 comments about Trinity Darkness Revealed 3 Ascent (Darkness Revealed , No 3).
  1. The book contains two adventures: Heaven Through Iron Gates and Climbing to Tartarus. Both adventures have separate color sections with in-character info to the players. Thankfully, unlike some adventures of the Darkness Revealed series, there are no spoilers in this in-character section. Both adventures can be played independently from the rest of the series, but they'll be much more satisfactory as a conclusion to the Darkness Revealed story arc. Apart from the adventures, there's also some setting info on the extrasolar colonies, North America and Africa.

It's difficult to describe the book without giving out spoilers. Both adventures have a very epic feel (especially Climbing to Tartarus), and, should the characters end them, they'll probably become very popular and influential. Both adventures introduce significant changes to the Trinity universe, no matter how they're concluded.

Resuming, a very solid book. If you like epic space opera, you'll love Ascent to Light.

  1. This is a pretty good book for Storytellers to pick up. Not a lot for the player unfortunatly. The scenario in the back is pretty weak IMHO. Unless you are an ST wait for Descent into Darkness.

4 comments about Trinity Technology Manual (Trinity).
  1. The Trinity Technology Manual has a lot going for it -- lots more toys for the players, detailed explanations of important technologies like computer agents -- but in some areas like bioware and personal electronics it is still somewhat lacking. Some other sections are also unnecessarily brief. Still worthwhile if you have the cash, though.

  2. Althought parts of the book could be labelled dry or lacking, it provides a great deal of information on the technology of the world, and could (or should) serve as the launching pad for the storyteller's own ideas and creations. Just try to memorize all the details, though.

  3. I loved the Varg section of this book, it has given me many ideas for a campaign. It s a great point for ideas, and can enrich a campaign quite alot.

  4. I recieved this book today and I enjoyed reading it very much. The book has the standard front color section, and a back black-and-white section. The section on VARGS was informative and well thought out. This book offers many new toys for a creative player to use. However, some sections seemed lacking. The art in the beginning was decidedly below-par for White Wolf. Good book? Yes. Worth the 15.95 price? Maybe.
