2 comments about Onimusha: Warlords Official Strategy Guide.
- So, you have all probably heard all the hype over Onimusha Warlords. Critics say this will be ps2 first million seller, so does it deliver? Oh heck yeah! Playing this game to the break of dawn in constant amazement over story and graphics. Finally it all came to an end and victory was mine. Wanting more I purchased the official statagy guide. It brought to light all what I missed and neglected. The guide tells the story of onimusha and the backgrounds of characters. Indepth explanations of baddies and stratagies for over coming seemingly impossible situations. Detailed maps are included showing the location of all the goodies you will need to survive. Hate going back and forth between screens to solve puzzles? With the guide you have the books you need to collect right in front of you. For you more ambitious types the guide contains the extra missions you can play after beating the game. Not only is this book informative it is also beautiful. The pages are over layed with pictures of Japanese woodcuts from their mythology. This is for sure a must have book for a must have game.
- This guide helped a lot i liked the pictures and the way it told you how to do the puzzles and stuff and how it told you to get preparred for a fight withought spoiling everything! i always buy brady games guides! they rule! Yeah Omnimusha!

5 comments about Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
- The back says "In-depth walkthroughs of every quest", but a quick examination reveals that they don't even include information on where to find a couple of the class promotion quests, which are very important. Also, they've organized everything around the regions instead of around the quests, which makes it difficult to find the info you want without accidentally seeing stuff about quests that happen in the same region, but much later in the game.
It's an OK book, and does cover the things that are likely to have you stuck, but the MM6 book was superior in many ways.
- This book spends a lot of pages on non-important data, as introduction of every monster and weapon and numerous useful or useless items. However, the most important part, the DETAIL MAP OF EVERY REGION and CAREFULLY ORGANIZED WALKTHROUGH are very, very disappointing. Especially the survey map of every region, it's so slipshod! It uses only one hint to indicate a lot of regions and many houses, so a player get nothing and he MUST continuously play his trial-and-error game to find a special house. The survey maps are so small that you recognize almost nothing. Besides, how can a player use fast key? how to learn magic more fastly? How does a player know this item will be useful, or totally useless so he can sell it out immediately? These are the most crucial points a player wants to know in a RPG game. And although you can find the answer in this book ,but it takes a long time to find where these informations are! . I am for a long time a M&M fan, but I must say that I feel very disappointed at this book.
- The Maps are to small and poorly organized
- I'd give it first-worst but frankly it does not deserve first-anything. It IS essential, if only because the manual is so deficient, but that's the best I can say. I've spent almost as much time searching through the guide as I have playing the game. Surely Prima can do better than this.
- I would have never gotten as far as I did without this guide. Very detailed and easy to read. Gives you just about every bit of information you could possibly imagine on the game. Reccomend for anyone who is having trouble or that just wants to move a little quicker.

2 comments about Return to Krondor: Prima's Official Strategy Guide.
- Of all of the strategy guides I have read, Prima's Offical Strategy Guide for Return To Krondor is the least helpful strategy guide I have ever read. The walkthrough covers a SMALL portion of the book and is vague in a lot of areas. I found quite a few stuff that was not in the walkthrough at all. For example it doesn't tell you what the code for the tomb in chapter 9 is (Feist; code letters found on one of the statues in the same chapter). Another thing it doesn't cover is what tools to use to disarm the traps; they make you guess yourself. The list for the tools to use to disarm each trap can be found on the net. The strategy guide is good in telling you what ingredients to use to make potions (in case you want to do an experimentation if you don't have a recipe for the potion you want to make). Some strategies it suggests, I have found much better ones. And there aren't any good maps in there; only a vague map for chapter 5. I wish Sierra would make hint books again instead of having Prima doing the hintbooks for them.
- If you have read the other review then I will echo it. The book is very narrow with details. There are no maps and the pictures that could act as maps are very dark are not helpful. the book gives you one way to do something but there are many better ways. It tells you exactly what you need to do and that is it, you can run around alot and find many more items and events. It could give you better advice like don't collect money it isn't a big issue, I had over 60,000 when the game ended! The first game had many side quests whereas this one has only 2! The caracter view is very limited and is very hard to see what is going on at times. The first game had a much better hint guide, but then again it was written by serria not prima!
