1. Prima's Official Strategy Guied for Ratchet and Clank is awesome. It has every mission you need to complete, how to complete them, walkthroughs of where to go and the levels, etc. If your having trouble beating this game (I know I would without this guide) get this book. It is totall worth the money.



2. This game is awesome but like all great games there are parts where we may get stuck in and just get so frustrated since we cant figure it out. Now thats where this guide comes in. It tells you everything for those annoying times when we can find what to do. Help for every planet you go to..and for such a low price to buy! What could be better...#1-getting stuck at a part in the game and taking forever to figure this simple little thing out or..#2-paying a small fee for help everywhere you need it. Hmm...I would have to go with #1! Wouldn't you?



3. No doubt this is the best strategy guide ever. Game similar to Jak and Daxter but confusing as to where to go next. Relax and follow the guide.

1. As usual, I bought this book after I completed X-Men Legends II, and actually used it to play through the game another time. To a certain extent, I'd say that it's a pretty handy guide for anyone who needs a step-by-step walkthrough of the game, even though it does have its fair share of errors and omissions.
   
   The maps in this book, like those in the first book, are particularly useful. Numbers are allocated on the maps, and a table is always found beside a map to identify what you can find at these locations, be it a disc, a sketch book, a comic, a homing beacon or even a boss fight. This essentially makes the text redundant, as a player can simply look at the map, check the incidents from the table, and proceed without having to read a whole lot of text to proceed.
   
   The characters building section of the book is also adequately written to provide the reader a general idea of how to level up your favorite characters. Players who're interested in maximising the potential of these characters should find the tips here pretty useful.
   
   The book also has a mandatory "trivia game" section that has with all the answers for the Q&A mini-game found in every act of the game. There're a couple of errors here though, so you may be frustrated by the unintentional sabotage that causes you not to get 100% correct on the questions.
   
   All in all, this is an above average guide that is nicely structured, well presented and informative. Recommended if you really need the assistance.



2. We have been using this book while playing the game and have found that it is very frustrating. Things are mislabled, in the wrong place, and there is not enough information on some of the characters. We found better information looking on the internet. Also it does not tell you that you can only get some of the extra characters, like Cable and others, in the PSP version of the game. I would not recommend this book to people buying the game.



3. It is a great game for one person to play alone or several.

1. Star Wars: Empire at War is a great game onto itself. Combine it with the new faction in the Forces of Corruption expansion, and now you have an even more dynamic and enjoyable Real Time Strategy game. No bugs that I know of and definitely adds to the replayability. Great game, where having the right troops/ ships can turn the tide of what appears to be an unwinable battle. Even though I enjoy turn based strategy more, this still gets two thumbs up from me.
   
   My favorite Star Wars strategy game is: Star Wars: Rebellion.

1. This is a prette decent book. Especially the initial part is helpful in getting started in the game and finding your way around. It provides a good overview of the different types of characters you can play and provides some guidance in possible ways of developing these characters and how to use the character's skills.
   
   The second part of the book is a plain walk through. This becomes a cheat-sheet more than anything else. You can probably find this on the Internet. I would have wished for more overall strategy.



2. The guide is easy to use, imformative and extremely helpful on the later levels, like the Warrens. Their maps are right on, a must have for anyone that wants to do more than the main quests.



3. This is a very attractive and comprehensive guide to the game, and very cheap considering the quality of the paper & images.
   My only complaint is that the order of the "missions" inside, which tend to be in no particular order concerning their placement. Missions that I encountered early on in the game I had to dig around into the back of the guide to find; and oftentimes the book would break up the mission depending on how many parts it entailed, rather than listing out the full specs of the mission in one convenient place.
   Other than that, I would recommend this book to anyone who owns the game. The price alone is an amazing bargain, and the helpful information - as well as directions towards hidden quests/items - is not only useful, but fun!



4. I trhink that the guide is a neccesary item to go along with the game because not only does it give you all the information on clan choices and blood powers, but sometimes in gameplay they don't adequately give you the control information, and without the guide you'd just be guessing and possibly get killed.



5. The guide hands well for version 1, but with the unofficial updates, is a little superfical, and irrelevant.

1. i bought this guide hoping to get better at the game. i read it and all the tips that it gave me, i was already doing them. the good thing about it is it tells you where all the pick ups are at (like those dang land mines). but the rest is simple stuff. im glad i didnt buy it at best buy for 16 bucks. thanks.



2. For the beginner this is a great buy, but since the guide has come out there has been many upgrades to warhawk that the guide doesn't cover.
   
   Warhawk now has jet packs, new personnel carriers, and many more upgrades.
   
   Also there is a new training program on the game that is very informative.

1. my son rec'd this for Christmas and he has read it front to back and over again! according to him, it really helps with his game, so he is very happy with it. for me, i am glad he is reading it and thought it is important to read it over and over again. i peeked at it and noticed it uses very big words: sporadically, legendary, harrowing, traverse,... to name a few. It is no great literature, but for a reluctant reader, this is as good as one! If your child "hates" reading but begs for a player's guide, get him/her one! You will be surprised how motivated the kid will be to read this.



2. I recomend you have this book if you play PMD,because it has cheat codes,what Pokemon the dungeon has in it,and lots of other stuff you would want to know about Pokemon.Although the book does mess up in the pokedex,it`s something you could correct easily.All in all,this book is extremely helpful book for Mystery Dngeon players.I wouldn`t be able to find a better Pokemon book.



3. Okay this was good but not so good. The walkthrough did give info and helpful. But the post game part iakes some time to go through to find what you want. The PokeDex is great

   and way better pokemon in Danger in the Dungeon



4. My son woud have never been able to get through his red rescue game without this guide, it really is a necessity for the game. Nintendo makes a great pokemon game, but it is close to impossible to get through to the end of the game and get all the special pokemon and all the special hidden items without the guide book.



5. Apparently this book did not go with the DS game that it was tied to on the purchase - it was of no help and I had to order the correct one - bummer linkage

3 comments about Icewind Dale 2 (Prima's Official Strategy Guide).

1. Prima is usually the standard when it comes to strategy guides. They are pretty reknown for their in-depth walkthroughs and attention to detail, but with Icewind Dale 2, they fell somewhat short of my expectations.

   The guide has the "essential" information; they detail the new 3rd Edition D&D rules, providing a small glossary of 3E terms (Hit points, Armor Class, etc.) lists the new skills, feats and races, including all the benefits and disadvantages of each. The Character descriptions are nicely detailed, describing their individual abilities and disadvantages and their roles and recommended positions in combat. A monster list is available with a description of each, and they give an outline of the spells with their respective icons in the game. Additional spell lists are found in the appendix, listing individual class spells separately. Prima also gives a "few guidelines" for building your own party. Helpful notes and tips appear in rounded boxes throughout the book which give necessary information that you might not spot immediately in the book text, and it provides a decent walkthrough. The maps of the areas are impressively crisp and clear versus previous Prima strategy guides; you won't have to squint to see them. For black and white reproductions, most are surprisingly easy on the eyes.

   Unfortunately, the book is not quite thorough. Are they going to produce another Icewind Dale 2 guide with complete information and charge everyone for it a second time? You will find a list of BASIC weapon stats and BASIC Armor and Shield "Data" all on one page, but a COMPLETE list of items, magic or otherwise is absent. In addition, the guide states that all major/minor quests are detailed but not every "experience point opportunity". This may have been implemented for those who wanted to find everything on their own. I would have loved the guide to list a few sample parties; that's the first place I turn to. Veteran gamers like me may not need that info but it's a must have for people new to the game. If you are expecting this book to have everything, you will be disappointed. Prima did do an okay job on this book, but I expected better from them; if they are the only company producing an IWD2 strategy guide, fans looking for additional info will have to look elsewhere.




2. The consists mainly of a walkthrough. The do have maps and nice little helpful hint boxes. That portion of the book is done well and I have no complaints there, but what I can't understand is not having a list of items or breaking down the spells by class and by level (something sorely needed in the manual). If you just want a walkthrough, then this guide will serve, but if you want a complete guide, you will be disappointed.



3. This Guide is about all it does. Get's you through the basics. To bad they didn't let VersusBooks do this one. Their treatment of Baldur's Gate II & the Expansion was perfect (except for the printing errors, which they graciously correctly and provide a replacement at no charge for those of us with an early edition) All the really good stuff you buy a guide for is completely left out (What the loot is where to get it) and although you don't always want to use them. The inclusion of the cheats codes is a nice bonus VersusBooks gives us for BG:II but prima LEAVES OUT for ID:II. But since this is all there is I guess you have to buy it. I hope Bioware and BlackIsle will use Versus in the future as prima's guides are weak.

1. At first i'll say i'm Italian so my english could be not so good to understand!!!
   I hoped to find a book such complete as the edition released for the first pokèmon series games, i know that pokèmon repeates itself for many thing like moves, items and many other things so yes you'll find it all in the guide.
   But as you find so many picture and a near complete walkthrough, the book lack in strategies for the most important battle and for the solution of the 50 battle cd!!!
   You want to do a STRATEGY GUIDE so write it COMPLETE!!!!
   Buy it if you are a collector if not leave where it is....



2. An adquate game guide for an average GNC game. The guide is actually very helpful. There always times in game play when one becomes stuck, so a game guide is useful.
