2. got stuck in the game and this book came to the rescue. absolutely no cheats that are useful ie, infinite ammo, infinite health etc.



3. If you've played SE for any length of time you will find that this guide is pretty bland. I was hoping for some insight on creative ways to rack up more points but it really only offers assistance with the maps and a description of why you are in Berlin at the end of WWII.



4. This is a fairly hard title to get. I am very pleased with it.

1. I think that this guide is the best that money can buy. I have it and it helped me when I was MAJORLY stuck. But I recommend it to only the people who look at a guide when they are MAJORLY stuck ,because where is that fun of actually playing the game if you go through word by word.



2. RAINBOW SIX is the best game for Playstation! I own it and I have not beat it yet cause it is soooooooo fun!

1. I recently picked up this guide to compliment my purchase of the game Viewtiful Joe and this is what I think of it. As I first opened it I noticed it is very colorful which is a great thing and the guide was very helpful. The only cons are that it is very thin with 112 pages. I was dissapointed at how short the secrets section was though. Overall, I'd say any Joe fan that needs help to beat that hard boss or just to read it for fun should pick it up because it is very colorful and detailed.

1. This official strategy guide provides a great supplement to the instruction booklet included with the Twisted Metal Black game. The descriptions of the various weapons and cars are first-rate. So, too, are the descriptions of each character. My one complaint is that the maps of the many levels are a little hard to follow and not as detailed as one would like. Overall, though, this guide is solid and a must-have if you are going to battle successfully with Sweet Tooth, Mr. Grimm and all the other inmates of the Asylum. Sweet Tooth is BACK!!!



2. I don't know why the layout people at Prima seem to think that every page has to be saturated wall-to-wall with all kinds of dark colors and graphics. Combined with the funky fonts and goofy layouts, it's hard to read, and the maps (which to me are key) are a fuzzy, low-contrast mess that don't convey any information about the exact locations of key items/areas, no indication of the 3D natures of the terrain (like where walls are, or where "one-way" jumps are, etc.) It also offers little in the way of strategy per level as different vehicle types, and virtually no information about the nuances/strategies of playing as the different vehicles.

   No cheat codes are offered, nor any indication of what you can expect to unlock for doing certain things. It'd be so easy to do one of these right, if they'd take the time. Personally, I just want useful info that's clear, complete, and easy to find, and not some "xtreme", over-the-top graphic-heavy fluff. I'm sure if they took the time to ask, even the younger audience would agree.




3. the twisted metal:black srategy guide is not a very helpful book if u ask me. when u read to find out where secrets r, yeah they tell u but it dont make sence. the only thing i used the book for was to find the hidden characters, i pretty much found axel, and manslaughter on my own, but the rest i used the book. the book even says that minion has secrets, but its a strategy guide they should at least ell u how to find them!



4. I thought this guide had alot of great elements in it.....sure it did have some problems with the maps and stuff but who cares....you should just focus on the game and dont waste to much time reading this guide.
   
   Overall this guide is worth getting if you like the game ....

1. I didn't get mine until I was 86% finished with the Game.
   I really used it for the rest. It really saved me alot of internet time by looking at online guidebooks.Now I've beaten the final boss.



2. I liked this guide. It was clear and concise as most guides should be. I like the screens and how much time they spent getting you used to the game was an extra treat. They didn't jump right into the walkthrough which I was glad for. Also, the walkthrough was much more clearly organized and easy to read as compared to the other guides (I really didn't like the Nintendo Power guide for this game...).

   The maps are okay but not every map is 3-D like they say. This is absolutely no problem for me, but others might find it to be a problem. I liked that they took the actual map from the game. It made it much easier to navigate and find my way through the various worlds.

   I can't imagine much of anything wrong with this guide. All the puzzle solutions were there, secrets were mentioned, just about everything I'd expect from a strategy guide. Much better than some of the others out there. I think what went a little under explained were some of the Arwing Missions. But again, not much of a problem (there really isn't any "strategy" to getting through the Arwing missions).

   Overall, and easy to use guide that got me through the entire game with few problems. Making this an essential Star Fox guide to have. Not bad at all.




3. Strategy guides have always seemed to have a interesting effect to help people with video games. Nevertheless, third-party companies that make those guides for video games don't actually make them very well at all. For Star Fox Adventures, it has been one of the most surprising video games ever developed for the Nintendo Gamecube. However, the strategy guide Brady Games developed does have a lot of problems. The maps and details are really not detailed enough and quite misleading on certain courses. Another problem is that it doesn't display how to defeat the Star Fox menace, Andross. For so many, they are just better off passing this guide up, for the real deal by Nintendo.

4. I strive to finish a game and THEN buy the guide. This guide has pretty much everything you need to know. One major thing it's missing is strategy for the "final battle".
   
   I didn't need that much help with this game, but I'm sure this guide could help someone.

1. You definitely have to read the book: Excellent maps of every town and dungeon, beginners tips, tables.... BUT: A little bit old infos sometimes..you have to check out the www to be up to date, too.



2. This guide is good only for people who are TOTALLY new to ANY role-playing game at all. For example, it explains that you should not attack creatures unless you know you can kill it. It had showed one person who told the book they had a 5% archery skill and decided to attack the bird only to get killed by IT! Well duh! I never even played the game, but I would know 5% archery must mean something like 5% chance to hit a immobile target, forget about a small quick flying target! The book has NO MONSTER AND ANIMAL stats at all! They're version of "stats" is something like: Orc, medium-low difficulty, carries food and little gold. I was expecting the hit points, mana, strength, ect and such. The book also has NO pictures except for the maps of dungeons and towns. The town maps are great, but the dungeon maps are not. Sure, the dungeon maps are detailed about where the paths and walls are, but nothing else like: pit trap here, and, dont step here, will kill you. I only give this book a two star for people with no role-playing experince at all, I never played the game and I still know better for most of the info. No offense to the burning heart guild though, they are gamers not writers.



3. I have gotten all of the strategy books for UO and have been playing for 2 years now. This book is a total waste of time. It is more of a story than it is a strategy and tip book. Once again, this is a waste of time. Stick to the 2 other books.



4. This was a very good book. They lots of good info on the game. Things change quick when there is a new patch every month, but you could go to their Website and get the UPDATED info! Now they just got lazy, and decided not to update it anymore. Now it is as old and worthless as the official guide.



5. Anywhere you look in this book at battle, they tell you to run away if your not sure you can kill it. How will you ever know if you don't try? What fun can you be if you don't take chances and get a backbone already? Sure, I've been killed by liches and reapers, but the lizard men and orcs were just as "scary" and if I ran away from them, I would never had taken the chance, I wouldn't have had as many gains in my stats and as much gold. I would get the official Prima books if I were you.

1. Most game books don't provide such in-depth coverage as this one. This is the official guide and it lives up to it, with all of the moves, fatalities, codes, strategies and secrets of the game. This is a must have for anyone who enjoys playing the game or the Mortal Kombat series. It really makes a great collector's item!

1. Despite his warped sense of humor (you should see what he does with the shrimp heads at a sushi bar), Josh Mandel is one of the finest people I know. He's also one heck of a game designer (notably "Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist" and "Callahan's Crosstime Saloon"). It was with unmitigated pleasure that I heard he'd agreed to honor us by writing the strategy guide for the SWAT 2 computer game. I worked with him closely on the project and was quite happy with the result (except for one or two points of question in the interview with me... but we'll talk about that later :-)). Josh excelled in the difficult task of writing a manual for a game that was not completely playable until well after his deadline. The resulting book is a detailed, precise compilation (and enjoyable read) of how to play SWAT 2 and succeed in all the missions, as well as a plethora of trivia about the development team.

   As the designer of the SWAT 2 game and the strategy guide author for the first SWAT game, I know a good SWAT strategy guide when I see one... and this is it. While you don't need this book in order to play the game, the additional material contained within will greatly add to your SWAT 2 gaming experience.




2. I have never been much of an adventure gamer, but with books like this out there, it has made a convert out of me! The text is written in an easy to follow format, which makes playing the game even more exciting!



3. I wish all games had a book like this with them, and I hope Josh Mandel writes more!



4. I read this book out loud, to a friend, over the phone, long distance, at 4 in the morning. I've only ever done that once before so you can imagine! I don't have that friend anymore, but I still have this book. To say it is a compelling read is an understatement. I don't want to give away the ending, so let me just say that Josh Mandel's words are more than just guideful, helpful lessonfulls of stuff - his writing is prosaic and wise, at times almost mystical, philisophical. In and of itself, this is an excellent book. For anyone with a friend, or a phone, it is a must have.



5. ...of the SWAT series. SWAT 2 was a great game, and this is a great strategy guide. Too bad it's out of print now.
