1. Well, all that I can say is FANTASTIC! This book really helps you at all parts of that game. If you are having trouble getting past that ship or station, or your getting shot at and you can't get away, you need this book. Full of information that will help you get past the game with ease but still providing the challenging and fun-ness of the game!



2. This one of the best strategy guides that has ever hit the stores. I work On-Que and about 5 to 8 people come wondering if we have STAR TREK KLINGON ACADEMY a day. Well this is the best game, but I could not get passed borard 6. So I well be getting passed it in about 5-6 days. My friend has the strategy guide but won't let me use so I'm getting one, ENJOY, General Bic

1. This book is pretty helpful if you want to get through the game quicker. Detailed maps show you where important items are in case you miss something listening to hours of pesky dialogue. It also gives plenty of tips in case you're new to the series.

1. The maps are poorly drawn and hard to follow. It tells how tocomplete the missions, but lacks multiplayer tactics beyond thebasics.



2. The explanations of strategies in this guide are incredibly straightforward and concise. And the strategies themselves - unlike those in most other guides I've seen - are specific and always work. Take this paragraph from the 10th Soviet mission walkthrough:

   "Your Spy Plane should become available in the meantime: Send it a short distance west of the visible water. You should expose the (Turret- and an AA Gun-guarded) Radar Dome complex. Send a Yak to hit the oil drums around the AA Gun, destroying it. Then hit the Turrets with MIGs. Impressive."

   I'll say. Works so well it feels like the game designers planned it that way.

   The previous review states the guide's major weaknesses- poor maps and limited multiplayer strategy coverage. The maps look like a child's scribbles with computer generated icons superimposed on them. However, they are useful in letting you know what areas are important for a particular mission, and what path you should follow in non-base "special" missions. Still, the guide probably would have been better with the maps left out.

   As for the multiplayer advice, it is short but useful and to the point. A lot of it takes place in the chapters that deal with unit strategy.

   Treat this guide as a RA walkthrough or encyclopedia. If you're obsessed about the game like I am, it's a great read.

1. Gives you pictures and written descriptions and hints on how to do the tricks and gives you good aerial maps of Hollywood. Glad I bought it, it's helped me beat some goals that I was struggling with.

1. This book is just below mediocre in what it provides anyone who would open its covers. I have played AOE I and II a lot, and this book contributed nothing to my knowledge. I was hoping for the simplest of things: A complete listing of each Unit with its statistics, and instead got a first-grade primer on how to play a RTS game. Usually these lists of statistics on the units come in the games Microsoft puts out, but not from LucasArts. I would wait until a better book comes out instead of buying this complete ....... It is a part of the "manual" which should have been included in the game box, especially since the standard manual is lame, too. This support aspect of this game is the worst I have seen come from almost any gaming situation, and a rich company like LucasArts shows its disdain for consumers and gamers alike by packaging this ...... like this....



2. This game is awsome if you like strategy war games there are 6 diffrent teams to pick from and there all pretty good the only flaw is that there are that you have to gather 4 diffrent kinds of crystals and stuff but other than that its one of the best starwars games ever. P.S. if you like this you have to check out the computer game starcraft its even better then this one.



3. I bought this guide because I love the game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (I'll assume anyone who reads this will already have played the game so I won't describe it). I recieved an excerpt with my copy of the game which had the chapter on tips on playing the game (times for moving through tech levels, etc.). I was excited, but slightly disappointed to find that a large portion of the guide details how to get through all the scenarios rather then the normal game, which I was more interested in.

   There is the (pretty good) story for the first chapter (although it goes in the some-stormtroopers-are-clones theory, where I go more for the (noncanon?) view detailed by Timothy Zahn's trilogy), and then the book goes into a overview of the main menu (what each button does). The next chapter was the excerpt included in my game (which is a good chapter). After that, detailed stats on every unit/building in the game, and then a neat transcript of a conversation about the different civilizations, along with a tiny chapter on strategies.. Pages 63-175 (out of 204) detail every single scenario. After that is another chat about multiplayer strategies, and then two appendices.

   All in all, it is a very handy resource, it just won't replace you playing and finding out how to win yourself.
