- its ok but its hard and not as good as sim 2 do you think s
- This is probably the best strategy guide available for SimCity 3000...but that isn't much of a compliment. Considering what an excellent game this is, I find this surprising. The guide did provide a lot of indepth and technical information about the game--I'm not sure how useful it is but it's there anyway. However, the book reiterates a lot of info over and over again which makes for tedious reading. I'd recomend this book only because there isn't really a better alternative...a better effort should have been made.
- This is better than the other SC3k guides out there, but it's hardly great. Some of the charts such as NIMBY and land value effects are great, but they can also be contradictory, probably due to stupid mistakes that should've been caught in editing. They really should fix all the problems with this guide and re-release it. A game this good deserves a better guide and a game this difficult warrants one.
- Okay, Prima is one of the a respectable company that produces great game guides. While reading this guide I discovered that Prima is perfect either. This book was lacking in the accuracy department and should be improved, though we all know that will never happen, D---!
- The eye-catching "Official Strategy Guide" and Maxis-style front cover promise much, but this book is a grave disappointment. While it may be of use to those who have never used SimCity before, anyone looking for the in-depth information which is alluded to will be left wanting.
The few titbits of useful information which are provided, such as the land value calculation on p68, are poorly explained and make one wonder how much the author actually understands his subject. Chapter 3 is pure padding - it just lists Maxis' own table of differences between SC2000 and SC3000. A useful-sounding appendix giving a list of power consumption values (p94) and "specific consumption figures" (p132) is alas missing from the book entirely. The number of fundamental errors which should have been caught by even trivial proofreading is _awful_: 3x3=16 (p57); 5x4500=4500 (p58). Put these things together and you have a complete waste of money...

3 comments about F-15: Prima's Official Strategy Guide to.
- If you're new to flight sims and trying to tackle Janes' F-15, then you'll no doubt find this guide to be of great help. More experienced sim-pilots will enjoy the detailed graphs and weapons overviews, but much of the rest of the guide will be of little value for them. Much of the info in the guide is already available in the Expert Manual that came with the simulator. There is good information here for any player of Janes' F-15, but the focus is definately on the less experienced sim pilot.
- This book provides a wealth of excellent information on the Jane's F-15 combat sim. I progressed from a person who had not won a single dogfight to winning almost every single dogfight and destroying every single target I was sent out to destroy over the course of this book.
- I'm very happy with this transaction. The book is in good condition and the shipping to France was very fast. Thank you.

1 comments about The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask (Prima's Official Strategy Guide).
- This book was OK, and I would give it 3 1/2 stars. It leves out some of the details, and sometimes skips ahead to a different area without telling you how to get ther. I could eventually figure out what they were saying, it just took a little while. I didn't really like the order they put certain things in, and most of the minigame things that you do (like collecting heart pieces) are in the back, unlike some books, where they tell you if there is a heart piece or something. Overall it was OK, but I would wait for one from Versus Books

- I have not read the strategy guide but have played the game successfully up to the same point as Hitmanxx7; I am in the tree/hedge maze area and have found the hole to the right of the tree to drop into one of the hidden labs but can't get to the other(s) though I have found access to a hedge covered doorway with bars blocking the way into another lab.

2 comments about Hexen: The Official Strategy Guide.
- Great maps. Extra Cheat codes in the back if you really want them. Helpful descriptions of each hub and what you are trying to do in each one. Because I had the book (I don't usually buy these kinds of books but I was really "stuck") I got deeper into how to use different artifacts that I normally just ignored. This made the game so much fun that I played it twice as two different characters.
- I have always been skeptical about buying strategy guides, but the author of this Hexen game guide really knows how to put it together to make the book totally understandable and easy to use. From the beginning where there is a brief synopsis of the game and what led up to it, to the in-depth analysis of the 3 playable characters, the monsters, and tactics to deal with them, what weapons to use for each different situation, and how to use the artifacts to your advantage. However, where this guide really shines is the walkthrough section. Extremely detailed, easy-to-read maps for all 31 levels, and the text accompanying the maps is like having your own personal tour guide along with you. Mind you, I don't like to use a strategy guide to spoil all the adventure, but when you play this game, you realize it is almost essential to have some 'help' along the way to victory against Korax and his minions. In closing, I would like to add that I hope to see more strategy guides from this author, as he is very player-friendly in his layout of his guides.

3 comments about Sonic Adventure: Official Strategy Guide (BradyGames).
- This book is great for The Dreamcast hit Sonic Adventure
- This piece of work deserves less then 1 star!!!
I got this guide for Christmas, and if I had had the choice, I would have most definetly chosen the Prima guide over this one. I am obsessed with maps and for me it was easy to tell how poor done these maps were. In fact, it claims to have a map for every level, but in fact, for Sonic's final level, it has only a small area of it, one of the rooms near the beginning of the level! The Prima guide had a map covering about 7 pages and had extensive coverage of each room. The boss strategies were depressing; I defeated the bosses on my own because the strategy was of no help whatsoever. In many levels, this guide included poor coverage and some of the maps were in depth and others were poorly constructed. Such as one level (sonic's ninth level) where it looks like the map editors couldn't be bothered to draw accurately and drew a square with five smaller sqares inside. The level I am reffering to looks completely different, and because of the poor maps I completed it in three times the time is should have taken me. This may not bother many people that could care less what the maps look like, but I love maps and spent hours looking at them. The sequence of events in the guide was so terrible that I was unable to find certain upgrades. Also the Chao (BTW pronounced Kay-Oh) coverage was sad and failed to include anything important. Although it did include one thing on Chaos the Prima guide didn't, the Prima guide offered better coverage.
- Usually the Bradygames Strategy Guides are well written and include tons of great information. Here is not the case. I got this guide when I got the game MANY years ago and I most of the time found myself playing without it. The maps are not that great but the strategies in the levels are OK. Between levels the guide says which field to go to, but it doesn't explain WHERE TO GO! I spent a month trying to figure out where the stones were. And the guide does not explain where the Adventure Field emblems are. The only reason why this guide gets anything is because it does help at some points. By now you can get the guide(s) by Prima because now Sonic DX is out. Skip this and get the Primagames.

5 comments about Pokemon Gold and Silver Japanese Translation Guide.
- I'm a memebr of the UPN (Universal Pokemon Network), and I just purchased this book am I am really Pleased!
I know little Japanese, and this book really helped me out. I imported Pokemon G/S last November and have had a really hard time understanding all the situations, but this book is a great help! I can help my friends out when they can't figure out a puzzle, catch a specific Pokemon (i.e Serebii) or battle with the new moves and Pokemon! It's really unforunate that I saw a few errors, but nothings perfect right? Thanks to this book, I now have all 251 Pokemon, all 16 badges, and so amny other items, tricks and varies other things. Good Work!
- This book is VERY good. The cover is awesome and the pictures and info will hold your interests. I do, though, have a caution. If you want to buy this book to help you translate the game, I would suggest you don't. The AT(Kabuto) Puzzle has not been figured out and the some of the info is a bit off and not very specific. It would be better if you just waited for the American release so you can fully understand and read the game and text instead of having too look over at the guide every two minutes. In other words, I'm saying if you don't completely know and understand the Japanese language, don't play the Japanese version of Silver and/or Gold and I say you shouldn't get this book to help translate the game. BUT, but, but, but, but, but,IF you want to buy thid book to learn more about Silver and/or Gold and/or the new Pokémon and/or the items and/or the gameplay, THEN I'd say stop reading this review and GO FOR IT!
- Hi!
This book is good in most aspects. It does not cover the locations of Pokemon and the Annon puzzles, however. It has helped me through the whole game! If you would like to play the game now, buy this book! It even translates the manual. The breeding section is small, though. By the way, if you need the locations of pokemon such as Lugia or Houou, e-mail me at yoannjenny@msn.com and I'll be glad to help! The book is really good, overall.
- This is a great book. It's a bit annoyig but excellent anyway. I entered new game and erased my Houou to play it according to this guide. I re-statrted it a day ago and I have 4 badges!!! THIS IS A GREAT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I imported a Pokemon Gold as fast as I could since there was no way I was going to survive until the end of October just to be able to read when this book does it for you. It explains all the menus, decision points in the game, and battle scenes. That's just about all you need to read in this game anyway. This book totally walks you through the game just like all other books, but I got a little bit too dependant on the book. It's really hard to navigate an RPG like Pokemon in Japanese, and I got lost frequently without the book by my side. It also doesn't tell any real American names for all of these new Pokemon. But either way, for any Pokemon Gold/Silver importers, this is a must to fully enjoy the game- at least until the American Pokemon Gold/Silver comes out.

- It was grea and the game was all timr great
- This boringly illustrated strategy guide is simply the worst Resident Evil guide available.
- Oi, everyone, if you're a collector like me, don't even piss on this strategy guide! I'm not tryin' to rip on the author, but come on! The damn thing doesn't even have the B games for either of the characters! If ya buy this thing, you're basically buyin' half a strategy guide--seriously. Look some place else, because this guide IS NOT where it's at.
