1. I bought this book for my nephew, and he loved it. What a great way to not only have some fun, but also stretch your kid's mind. It is also good for keeping the kids busy on rainy days. This Micheal Street really understands how to explain games to children. Extremely well written.



2. "Lucky 13" is well written, clearly illustrated and a must have for families! The introduction explains simply all the terms and basics of solitaire(some of which are a great brush up for the adult!). Although the book does get into advanced games and strategies, the first section, "Beginning Games" is awesome for any age. My 7 and 5 year olds picked up these games quickly. Order a copy for vacation or home!! A rainy day lifesaver!



3. This book was purchased for a "senior" who enjoyed the game but wanted more of a variation to her playing cards, and the print was large enough for her to follow, and she enjoys using the book to make the card game more challenging. Its a book that is not just for kids!

1. My 8-year-old can't do crossword puzzles yet, because he's just an average reader. But he is a math whiz and WOW, can he do Battleships! I'm working on making this game a standard for 2nd grade math and logic classes....



2. This is an outstanding puzzle book! I was surprised that there were only two reviews for it. Being a middle-aged male with a BA from a midwestern university and with an average math ability, this book provided hours of mental challanges and frustrations. Excellent for estabilishing or strengthening basic logic skills. Although I find it hard to believe that many average children would be able to complete many of the more advanced level puzzels.
   
   The introduction is done very nicely. First, it spells out the rules then provides excellent examples in the skill of deduction. Too bad there are only 54 pages of puzzles. Perhaps a second book is in order?
