1 comments about Riven: The Mini Guide: Unauthorized (Secrets of the Games).
- Players of Riven know how EXTREAMELY difficult it is, with so much to find, learn and understand playing this game without a stategy guide is just plain crazy. While I played most of the game without one, after buying this it made sense of the things I had discovered. A MUST if you're having trouble figuring out the D'ni numerals (gives you all 25) and how to open the domes. A wonderful book and you don't feel like you're cheating, after all, Riven is not a walk in the park. If you want to win this game or at least have fun without the frustration, get this book. You won't be dissapointed. I promise.

3 comments about *OP Blood Treachery.
- This book is a must have book, for those that want to do campaign s where you have mixed characters, or just want to give extra flavor to your stories. It about time White Wolf released a book to explain in cleaner detail, what really happened with the Tremere, what is all that brought them there, and how the Order of Hermes really feels about it. This is besides the point of making rules for the revenant, ghoul mages...
- Using the framework of classic Greek drama for thefiction/metaplot parts, Cohen and DiPesa have put together the first compelling book of Mage's Revised Edition.
For some reason, even though he's listed on the cover, Mr. DiPesa gets no credit with Amazon. What is the deal with that?
- As a Mage LARP Storyteller, I found this book to be very useful in helping me deal with the problem of vampires. (And in particular, a certain ghouled mage). The greek style drama about the Massasa War was both interesting and informative.
Other than giving information about the Order of Hermes' reaction to Tremere and vampires and general, Blood Treachery also gives some information on the Celestial Umbrood amd gives information on ghouled mages. My only complaint really about this book is that it lacks Mind's Eye Theatre conversions. But the information packed into the book more than makes up for this.

2 comments about *OP Subsidiaries: A Guide to Pentex (Werewolf: The Apocalypse).
- This book is a summary of six of Pentex's most influential subsidiaries. Though a Werewolf the Apocalypse book, these Pentex companies can be used as antagonists or story hooks for any game in the World of Darkness. A lot of real-world research went into the making of this book. Nothing is over-the-top and the fact that these evil companies resemble so many real companies only makes the setting creepier. Well, the rpg company in the book is a spoof, but everything else was serious. The book deals with the business and operations of Pentex oil, pharmaceutical, alcohol, toy, video game, and rpg companies. This was a very good read and I encourage all White Wolf storyteller's to pick up this book. The antagonists here can be used against vampires, werewolves, wraiths, mages, hunters, and anything else the players decide to play. I enjoyed every section in the book. It would have been better if there were more companies listed for your enjoyment.
- For any of White Wolf gaming this makes for great adversaries. Subtle yet wicked.

1 comments about Feats.
- My D&D group bought the Feats book a long time ago when we were just starting and we have been fighting over it ever since. It has been one of the most useful books in our collection and recently I ordered it on here just so I'd have my own copy.
Well worth the buy. Inexpensive and infinitely useful.

3 comments about Savage Seas (EXALTED Roleplaying, Setting Resource, WW8822).
- Since Exalted was released, I have been a huge fan of the setting and system and hence, purchasing each supplement as it comes out. However, this is the one supplement that I wish that I hadn't wasted my money on.
This book is nothing more than a breakdown of ship design and ship terminology. Save your money, this book is fairly worthless for a campaign.
- I thought the book was pretty decent. It has stats for ships and their weapons, rules for ship to ship combat and even mass combat rules for crew vs crew fighting which could be used for other arenas of combat.
I liked the sections about life at sea and how ships are run. It also talks about the details of navigation in a world which actually is flat and where the pole used for navigation is in the center. Savage Seas also has some new charms, mainly geared towards use at sea, some new spells, terrestrial and celestial, and a few minor artifacts. What it didn't have were things like whole chapters about individual pirate groups, or various navies. Those things were pretty much summarized between 2 chapters. Alot of that stuff was covered in other books, or left for storytellers to customize. All in all, if you run a sea-based series then this book will be a good resource. If you're landlocked, then you might not want to buy it.
- This book has two goals:
1) give storytellers an overview of "realistic" ancient seafaring life/culture/technology; and, 2) give storytellers fantasy specifics about how 1) works in world of Exalted. I believe it strongly succeeds on both accounts. The material is not a campaign or module per se. What it does is provide an immense amount of cool, detailed material storytellers can work into games of their own design. So if you want something to "plug and play" with minimal effort than this isn't for you. If you're looking for "thinking fuel" and inspiration ... you won't be disappointed. My favorite parts were the one's that provided glimpses of First Age ships. Loved it!!!
