1 comments about Guildbook: Artificers Sourcebook (Wraith: The Oblivion).
- All throughout the basic wraith book they make references to this. They did so with good reason. The info on Soulforging was great, thogh i thought that the focus should have stayed on the more modern powers. The history of the coup is nice, and i thought it was worth the cost

3 comments about Master of Magic: The Official Strategy Guide (Secrets of the Games).
- This is an excellent strategy guide! the master of magic strategy guide is an absolute must for the beginning player. It goes into battle tactics, Race comparisons, charts, and stratgies for winning! If you like MoM, you'll love this
- Whether you are just discovering this game or have been playing it for years, this guide is a must-have. It contains information on all aspects of play--spells, skills, races, combat, urban planning, etc, and discusses computer-controlled elements such as treasures, random events, and monsters. The book does contain some debatable rankings and recommendations, but the wealth of helpful information overshadows these few flaws. The authors also did a fantastic job of considering various play styles and game settings when writing this book. This guide is an excellent resource that deserves a place by your computer!
- I had forgotten about this book, but as we've reorganized the home office, I rediscovered it and the game. I think the book manages to capture and enhance the original spirit of the game which is saying quite a bit. I've played the game for hundreds (maybe thousands) of hours, but 75% of the book's insights are still new to me. Master of Magic can be won with many, many different strategies and styles of play (part of what makes it a great game). These authors have obviously looked at the game from every angle with every strategy and obviously pestered the good folks at the developer to get all kinds of detail about how the innards of the game actually work. This should be required reading for anyone looking to develop a turn based strategy game (computer and otherwise). If only the computer players in MoM weren't quite so dim at the end of the game, this book would be even more useful

4 comments about *OP Buried Secrets: Wraith 2nd Ed Screen (Wraith - the Oblivion).
- This storyteller's screen is suitably moody, and the "Buried Secrets" book is useful, but neither is 100% essential for a good game of Wraith: The Oblivion. If you have a few bucks to spare, the elegantly dark screen will definitely contribute to the mood of the atmosphere (it looks great by candlelight), the nicely organized reference tables will be a great convenience, and the "Buried Secrets" book will give you a few good ideas.
- Wraith - The Oblivion is a great book. I just read it and I couldn't stop reading it. It adds a whole new dimension to WOD. I use to love playing Vampire the Masquerade but now my frineds and I play wraith. Charon plays a role similar to Caine, but he has his own accomplishments. Try to figure out who is Able (he is not under that name in the book). The Hierarchy is what I believe the Camarilla should have been created like. There is the Rebels for the rebels out there and theres the Heritics for you True Faith Players. The Shadowlands is a whole new world to roleplay.

- I consider this screen to be the best White Wolf has made. It has the normal wraith/chains artwork, and spans an extra page from the other Stroyteller's Screens (4 pages total). Beyond that, it has similar information. I just feel it looks much better than the others, and I use it most of the time when I run my games. The book, Buried Secrets, has many little-known facts that are quite interesting. It has the most secrets about what's really going on in Wraith excluding, of course, Ends of Empire. While it is not incredibly useful from a gaming aspect, the book is a great tool to help design role-playing scenarios, as it gives enough information to better flesh out certain adventures that the main rulebook is vague on. I would recommend this book at least for storytellers, and for anyone who wishes to know more about the secrets of Wraith.

1 comments about Seas Of Blood (Dungeons & Dragons/D&D D20 Accessory).
- This is right now the best book for the d20 system dealing with the open seas. New prestige classes and ways to tinker with old classes work wonders. However, nothing really revolutionary is in this book, so if you have to penny-pinch, you can live without this for a while, but do intend to pick it up.

5 comments about d20 System Dice with Booklet.
- I would have to say that if you were going to get a dice set there are many different places online that sell products like the "Pound-O-Dice" that will have all the die you need to play this and many other games. THere are more die that would be usefull that don't come in this set either, such as the D3. It is used within the D&D games and other for that matter. To be Honest I have got this set and find that it is sadley lacking on the rules side and I found myself buying the comple DMG, PHB and Monstrous Manual before my second setion of AD&D. So just a point get the core rule books and a good LARGE set of dice if you are really interested in playing, and if your not sure find a group to try it out with first.
- The sole advatage of buying these dice is that they are sold at your local chain bookstore. The instructions are obtuse and redundant, and the dice are cheap, small, and only one of each type is provided. Advice: take your ~[$$] to a hobby store and pick out your own dice or failing that buy for [$$] the D&D introduction game that includes the same identical dice, and get a few goodies as well.
As a note it sickens me when for the price they charge for cheap, [discount chain store] quality dice they couldn't throw in another set, or at the bare minimum include the 10-00 10 sided die as a complement to the 10 sided dice that comes with the 'System dice.'
- I don't live in the USA, so getting some dice is very hard, especially when my friends are thinking on getting themselves some. So i told them to get this box that is cheap compared to the price of the trip to the nearest gaming store, and they are available in the bookstore around the corner. Yea, you may complain about the expensive, but some people don't have the time to go looking fo the final gaming store/website where to find the good products, they just want to start playing. That is what this set is all about.
- The basic tools were given. Basically the dice. However, it seems like Wizard's of the Coast would have provided a more in depth explanation for new comer's to the d20 system to make it more user friendly. Like d20 For Dummies.
- Okay, so maybe you just want to get a random result and focus on story. But you know what? There are two sides to playing a table-top game (vs. a computer game, for instance).
One is the social exprience, playing with people whose company, hopefully, you enjoy.
Second is the quality of the components. For example, would you rather play chess with hand-carved wooden Staunton pieces that are weighed, with felted bottoms, on an inlaid wooden board? Or will you go for the cheap hollow plastic pieces and lay them down on a piece of cardboard?
These dice are so cheap that for me they detract completely from the game experience. It takes me back to the days when the numbers on the dice weren't even inked in and you had to rub a crayon over them just to see the numbers. I thought we were past that.
Do yourself a favor and turn off your computer and start looking through the yellow pages for a local hobby shop. You won't be sorry. If there is none available, then make some friends online. Roleplayers are a generally friendly and helpful lot, and I have no doubt you'll find someone to help out if you start participating in an online RPG-related discussion forum.
Again, avoid these dice except as a desperate last resort.

2 comments about Munchkin d20 Munchkin Masters Gde (D20 Generic System).
- An amusing read for the experienced player or DM, with some sage advice and odd items to toss into a campaign. Some, if not all, of these items appear in the card game Munchkin, in the first 3 sets (Munchkin, Munchkin Unnatural Axe, Munchkin 3: Clerical Errors).
Warning: to be used, must be accompanied by the associated Munchkin d20 Players Handbk (D20 Generic System) and Munchkin d20 Monster Manual (D20 Generic System), which are difficult to find, with information that may well be gleaned from the card game, as well. I dunno - I haven't found them, but I'm not so much looking, either.
Solid, well-written, brief, and apparently fairly profitable. Caveat emptor, and like that.
- It's 48 B&W non-glossy pages of gamer humor--basically, a John Kovalic comic book in hardbound. It's funny, but it's not worth more than $10. Most of the humor comes in the tables specifying random dungeon sounds, random flavors, colors, etc.
