- I'm very happy with this guide. It is very detailed with nice photos. It came in good time and in excellent condition. A little long to read and it does not stay open by itself but very informative and I am happy that I purchased it.
- I bought this book almost a year after I bought and played the game. First of all, there is only 1 down-side on this book, I expected more page filling art works, scetches, of pictures of the locations. Sure they are in it too, but small and too few.
But never the less, don't let this spoil the book, because for the rest I found it very handy (and nice) to read. It's written in a funny way, clearly by somebody who also enjoyed playing the game and writing this book, Everything is explained in a clear way, making it sound almost too easy to get all the hidden treasures, and what I also found helpfull was a map of every level, in clear detail, where to find what, how to get there, what to find there. And ofcourse all the unlockable secrets of the game itself.
All together I am very happy with the purchase of this book
- This is just what I needed. Being new to the Tomb Raider series, I was in need of something to help me with the in's and out's of the game. With the guide, I have been able to get farther into the game in 3 days than I had managed in 2 months without it.
- Hi, I'm a lover of Tomb Raider. I've played many of the Tomb Raider games. The last one out; Legend, is very fun and even better then the tomb raider games before. The other Tomb Raider games gave you a phone number to call incase you got stuck. Tomb Raider Legend does not have that. Your best bet is to get Tomb Raider:Legend:The Complete Official Guide. This way you will not miss anything and if you can't figure something out and you've spent hours on it, you can cheat and find out how to do whatever it is you're trying to do or get through. Before purchasing the book I was told of a few different web sites where I could find answers to my questions I have about Legend. Unfortunately, that did not work for me. I'm very happy to have purchased The Complete Official Guide, for Tomb Raider Legend. It's made the game much more enjoyable, even more so than it already was!Tomb Raider: Legend: The Complete Official Guide
- I guide really help me understand most if not all of the puzzels. The bosses are fairly easy and the each of the courses are are pure fun. I love the construct of the game it's fun granted. Though it may take a little getting use to the set up of the controls.Tomb Raider is the best game that I have played in while

5 comments about The Ultimate Hidden Picture Puzzle Book (Take a Hidden Picture Challenge).
- The puzzles in this book are wonderful to use after students have finished a test or other work. It keeps them quiet so that the other students can finish their work undisturbed. The puzzles are a little more challenging than the usual Highlights Hidden Picture puzzles, which makes them great for junior high age students. I highly recommend this book and hope that Joe Boddy creates more in the future.
- im sure the book is fine for those of us who can read. My 5 and 6 year old children(and myself) prefer the hidden picture books that show the pictures that need to be found, not in words, but actual pictures.
thanks,
amy
- I bought this book for son. He was throughly pleased with it. He said it was the greatest!. The puzzles kept him entertained for hours with never any boredom.
- This book is not for little kids-it is black and white no color at all, not what we expected at all. It is for children who like to color within the lines with thin markers and kids who are old enough to concentrate-likely 10 and over.
- I have always loved to search for pictures since I was a small child. These books are fun for the entire family.

1 comments about The Virgin Book of Killer Sudoku.
- If you enjoy solving logic puzzles and you'd like to sharpen your mental arithmetic skills, then these are the puzzles for you. These puzzles are similar to Classic Sudoku in that you have to place the numbers 1-9 uniquely in each row, column, and box. The difference is that a Killer Sudoku puzzle is also covered with dotted outline "cages", each of which has a number that indicates the sum of the numbers within the cage and the numbers within the cages must also be unique. There are many techniques that can be used to solve these puzzles, and discovering them is half the fun.
This book contains a two-page Introduction, three pages on "How to Solve a Killer Sudoku", a one-page "List of Unique Number Combinations", 50 Easy puzzles, 35 Medium puzzles, 10 Difficult puzzles, 5 Deadly puzzles, and Solutions. The format is one puzzle per page and the puzzles are a good size (3.75" x 3.75").
The "How to Solve a Killer Sudoku" section gives a fairly minimal explanation of some simple techniques. One of the most important techniques (The Rule of 45) is not even mentioned. If you don't figure this one out you'll have a hard time completing a lot of the harder puzzles. For an excellent explanation of Killer Sudoku solving techniques, see Djape's book "Sudoku K (Killer), Volume 1".
In each section the puzzles tend to progress from easier to harder. There are a couple of hard puzzles in the medium section. A couple of the deadly puzzles are slightly harder than the hard puzzles; the others are about the same as the hard puzzles. I would have preferred fewer easy puzzles and more medium and hard puzzles. Overall, I think this is a good book for intermediate solvers and beginners who learn quickly. For advanced solvers who are looking for more of a challenge, check out Killer Sudoku Online. The Greater Than Killer Sudoku puzzles are especially fiendish.

5 comments about 2201 Fascinating Facts: 2 Vols. in One.
- When I read this book years ago, I found the information therein just as the title states: fascinating. But upon further perusing of this work, I began to notice incorrect information presented as fact. For example, the deer botfly does NOT fly at the stated high speed; that fanciful notion came from a quote by etymologist Charles H. T. Townsend. His absurd estimation was proven false by Irving Langmuir.
I've also found information in this book that contradicts "facts" elsewhere in the book. And the statistics cited from years ago are often out of date and inaccurate. I recommend this title only if you are willing to verify some of its information against other sources and have a keen ability to distinguish between fact and fascinating fiction -- however plausible it might seem.
- I enjoyed reading this book although I wish they had one more up to date. I learned a lot of fascinating facts.
- This was one of the cutest books I had ever read. It was educational and quite interesting. It was full of those things that you are curious about but too embarrassed to ask. I have really enjoyed it and have recommended it to several people.
- This book is very interesting, I rate this book very high for anyone interested in events and triva.
- Fun facts, but some well known facts. I did not buy this book for well known facts. Worth buying at a low price.

5 comments about Beat the Craps out of the Casinos: How to play craps and win!.
- The 5-count contents is less than 1/8 of the book. The rest are redundancy of author's other books. I do not see the logic in the 5-count except to prolong playing time for casino handout.
- I started playing craps this past year and really enjoy playing the game. Naturally, I wanted to develop my skills and use my new fascination to make a little money, opposed to placing wild bets that seldomly paid out. I purchased this book to attempt to beat the system with mathematical odds. While this book does touch on the mathetical odds of the game the strategy recommended by the author appears to be based on superstition, rather than mathematics. As such, I believe the Supersystem to be inherently flawed. I would not recommend employing this system in the Casino if you want to make money. Good luck and happy gambling.
- In reading this book I found absolutely nothing that would be anything close to a winning system. The "Five Count" and all variations, when tested at length is merely a way of limiting your losses in hopes of staying at the table longer and hitting a hot roll before you run out of money. As with most craps books this one may teach you to manage your money and remind you about discipline.
- This book is not for newbies! Frank Scoblete teaches a new method for craps that I just could not understand. I was looking for something more basic.
- This is a great book for beginners. It gives you an overview of the game and the different bets out there. It also lets you know what bets to stay away from unless you want to leave completely broke. I've tried the 5 count in this book and I believe that it is a genius way of qualifying shooters. I used to have a big problem with shooters craping out right away and loosing me a lot of money. It has definitely saved a lot of money on my recent craps trips. The super system is a little more complicated, but I've made my own little modified version of this system that works better for me. The only downside of these two systems is that you do need to be a little more patient when utilizing them. I'd say that this is the only book that beginners need to read, unless they want to get into dice control.

5 comments about Lottery Master Guide.
- I assumed a book costing $25 would be a valuable addition to my knowledge of playing the Lotto and Lottery. Gail Howard is more hype than substance. Having read and studied Professor Jones' books, and other significant authors on the subject of statistical analysis, this book is trite and unsubstantial.
Like "Sylvia the Psychic" on Montel, Ms. Howard has parleyed her image to connote a knowledge of Lotto but I would pass on her book. I feel like it was a sham and it cost me $25 for nothing.
- I like the book so far. It gets a little complicated. So, I have to re-read some of the tips, etc. I'm going to win Florida Fantasy 5! Yes!:)
~Jeniffer
- Gail Howard's books have been credited with helping dozens of people become millionaires- verified real people with real stories. No other lottery books I have seen have verified winners. Proof of Jackpot Winners can be seen at her website-numerous articles with testimonials and PHOTOS-important for me. I have learned to always go to the author's websites. That was enough for me plus I saw a real winner's testimony above. I ordered three of Howard's books, read practically round the clock after reading many other books on the same subject. She is clear on her systems, I get them even though math was not my greatest subject. A friend who just won something tipped me to Gail's books and it took me several weeks to decide-so glad I did.
- If you are new to playing lottery then this is the book to get. Plenty of charts to get you thinking and analyzing numbers so you can create your OWN systems. I highly recommend this book for all beginning lottery enthusists.
- First of all, let me just say that it takes A LOT of WORK and PATIENCE to pull off a success, using the techniques in this book. For those of you who think this book is a 1-2-3 gateway to winfall, think again. Great things hardly come easily.
With that said, I have been doing HEAVY testing with the techniques in this book for about a year and the results are confirmed. IT WORKS! The numbers I've generated within that year's time have captured over $13,000 in wins, not to mention the highly numerous Take-5 FREE PLAYS I amassed on a REGULAR basis. In one game I managed to capture 44 FOUR-NUMBER COMBOS! That is simply phenomenal!
My recommendation for those who are having trouble with the book is this:
1. Use Microsoft Excel
2. Track the frequency of the number skips - this will tell you which numbers to remove from your final group, reducing your pool to 17 numbers or less! (ex. if a skip of 10 hs been out for five games, check how often a skip of 10 stays out between hits)
3. Play BIG. You can't expect to win big with scared money. I've tried diligently without success. It took nearly $400 to net a $10,000 win.
4. When using Gail's 5-number wheels, there is a feature designed to refine your numbers. You press F4 to activate it. When F4 takes you to the next screen, press F4 at least 3 to 4 times (this takes you toward the higher spectrum). In either of those windows, you will find winning numbers.
5. To hit a jackpot, you will need to use Power Numbers. Sorry, but that was the ONLY way I was capable of capturing a jackpot. I learned this with my experiments that utilized PREVIOUSLY released winning numbers. Even when I had less than 15 numbers in my group, which included all of the winning numbers, the non-Power Number wheels still failed to capture a jackpot.
Good luck breaking the lottery!

3 comments about Entertaining Science Experiments with Everyday Objects.
- I like to do science experiments with my grandson who is 6, and he loves them, so I try to find easy things to do for him. I was hoping this book would be better suited to our needs, but I feel like it is for older children 10 or 11 and up.
- I am a physics teacher in a Mexican high school. We have a big problem in our country because we lack a scientific culture and background. This kind of books are excellent because help to promote scientific ideas without being boring.
- I think anything by Martin Gardner is great. Enjoyable and for the most part practical.

5 comments about Knit and Crochet with Beads.
- I had great hopes that crochet would have equal parts of knit and crochet and boy was I wrong. For you knitters, it is about 75% knit and 25% crochet. I just expected more balance and didn't get it.
- Inspiring and instructive. As always, Lily's instructions are clear and easy to follow, even for techniques that are new and a little different. The projects are stunning and quite "finish-able." And Lily's "signature" sense of humor keeps you company while you create and learn. A winner.
- Who else but Lily could do it? I have knitted beaded purses on 0000 needles, but never considered knitting a beaded garment until reading this book. Lily explaind every way that it can be done in clear and precise language, with excellent pictures and charts. The patterns are glorious! Patterns for sweaters and shawls and really beautiful items that are truly one of a kind. And not knit on itty bitty needles either. You don't don't need a magnifying glass to knit these beauties! I am working on the Vargas Girl Sweater in pale blue Rowan cashmere with gold and copper beads, a large investment, but the results are gorgeous!! This book is a must have for the truly glamorous knitter!
- Very informative book. Gave some great ideas on how to add beads to some of my projects.
- This book is geared towards intermediate or advanced knitters who want to take their projects to a whole new level. Beads add an entirely new dimension to your knitted pieces. I am a jewelry designer who enjoys knitting and this book brings together two of my passions. The instructions and drawings are very clear. My favorite patterns are the Ethereal Lace Tunic and the Grace Kelly Collar. Both are simply gorgeous! If you love beads and knitting or crocheting, you will enjoy this book.

5 comments about Get the Edge at Craps (Scoblete Get-the-Edge Guide).
- The book is just bragging about his ability and trying to convince you to take the seminar to actually learn "the secrets". Don't waste your money.
- This book is alright and teaches what you want to know but I recommend "Golden Touch Dice Control" over this one. They basically talk about all the same information except this book goes into more detail about math formulas which I really don't care about, I just want to learn how to throw the dice.
Also I don't recommend getting both books, pick one or the other as they contain basically identical information.
Just one is written by the best out there and this one is written by the guy that proved it all. I thought I'd prefer this book over the other one for that reason but in the end I liked Golden Touch better.
- This is a fantastic learning tool for vocabulary, odds, percentages, setting the dice, gripping the dice, throwing the dice and betting strategies.
- Great from basic rules to detailed strategy...will be a resource that you will circle back to over time
- Use this book to compliment the Golden Touch Dice Control Book and you will pretty much have the complete course without the instructors. I read the negative reviews, and let me tell you that this book gives a few pointers that the other book does not have, and it has improved my throwing tremendously.
I have been throwing off and on since Augustr 07; in October the same year I shot dice in Vegas and landed a Hardway bet that someone else had placed and won that person quite a bit of money; nothing too serious, but the crowd went nuts! My longest roll then was at least 14 before the 7! I had to stop after that due to personal reasons. Anyways, I began practicing regularly again in July 08. I shoot on a 12"x12" board with a 12"x12" wall with pyramid rubber backing, and land the dice on the board pretty consistantly after reading this book. If you have tried, or try to, throw on a board that small with no side walls, it is hella hard to land the dice; however, like I stated before, I am beginning to become very consistant on having the dice hit the wall and still have the dice die on the board. Believe me or not, its up to you. It's A LOT of hard work, but this works.
P.S. I practice at least 2 hours a day, just to give you an idea of how many hours I have invested. I'm going back to Vegas in December and am confident that with a sufficient bankroll, that I will walk away from that trip a winner =)
