5 comments about Coin Collecting For Dummies (For Dummies (Sports & Hobbies)).
- I purchased this book for my nephew who showed an interest in coin collecting. I started reading it before giving it to him and I learned a lot! It was written in a straight-forward method, clear concise. (I gave it to him a week later)
- This was purchased as a gift and appears to be a great reference book for the beginning coin collector.
- This is a great book if you want to learn the ins and outs of a big time coin dealer/collector...mostly buying and selling.. I'm more into Collecting and learning about diffrent error coins.
"TR"
- Good information for someone like myself who is just getting started in coin collecting. Would be too general for someone who is a bit more experienced. No buyer's remorse here!
- Hello , Covers all the basics quite nicely , easy to read and understand. I would strongly suggest you read this book and at least one other on your specific interest before you spend a dime on coins.

5 comments about SimCity Societies: Prima Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides).
- I really thought this supplemental book would help me play the game, but it's more like a list with little explanation. Maybe I need to spend more time with it, but so far it's not as helpful as other Prima Game Guides I've used.
- This game installation inserts ALL the graphics into the computer, which will definitely slow down your computer, and will crash it if you do not have a super-good graphics card. Since it requires that the disk be inserted for each play, it would have been better to write the program to take the graphics from the disk as needed rather than having them all loaded into the computer at installation.
- This kind of games are interesting because let you use you imagination with no limits.
- This game didn't invite me in like previous titles. I bought the help book to see if I was missing clues or ideas to help with game play. It is fun - but other games have pushed SimCity Societies to the background.
- This book is the best. It tells you and shows you how to do anything you want in the game. I love it

5 comments about Woodshop Dust Control: A Complete Guide to Setting Up Your Own System: Completely Revised and Updated.
- This book provides a complete and detailed writing on the methods for woodshop dust control methods. It covers different strategies for controlling dust from simple respiratory protection devices(masks), shop ventillation and air filtration and dust collecting machines (portable and central units).
It discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each method for different situations and how to optimize each strategy for a given situation. Great and interesting book. Written in practical and easy to understand manner.
- A very good starting point for anyone interested in woodshop dust control. Does a good job covering the hazards and methods of control of sawdust. It then goes on to describe methods for designing and installing a central dust collection system.
- Basically what I found is just when the book was getting into enough detail to be useful the section would end.
The book is fine if you haven't ever read an article on dust control. But a two page section on dust control from sanders right at the end of the book??? Come on give us a little meat here. Little detail is given on how to control dust with jigs or with equipment that doesn't have dust control.
I gave it 2 stars because I found it wasn't technically detailed enough to be useful and very vague in areas that really needed attention. Took me 3 hours to read it..I'll put it on the book shelve where ironically enough it will probably gather dust.
- Very detailed, Easy to read, very helpfull in setting up shop.
- The book is ok, but I wish he would spend more time on running a DC system in a small home shop. Also, a topic I was interested in (grounding a pvc based system) was brushed over in less than a page.

5 comments about Cryptograms to Keep You Sharp.
- This is the perfect book for cryptogram lovers. You can use none or up to 3 hints for each puzzle. Spiral bound makes it easy to use also.
- This book is what I was looking for. Too many cryptograms book have 'too small type font' and are impossible to do. This one is good :)
- I am an huge cryptogram fan. This book is great. The only nitpick I have is that the answers are printed one after the other, so you might wind up seeing the next quote if you go to check your answer. I love the spiral binding, and the fact that it is printed on thick white paper. I'm usually frustrated with cryptogram books because the paper is cheap and tears when you inevitably have to erase.
- I am really enjoying the cryptograms in "Cryptograms to Keep You Sharp". I love the meaningful quotes, and the font size is perfect! The good quality paper and sprial binding are a big plus as well.
Also, the hints are arranged in the beginning of the book, so you don't have to worry about having a wandering eye, and seeing the full solution when you only wanted a hint.
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to both the cryptogram "pro" & "novice" alike - it's a great one!
- This is a nice collection of cryptograms, mostly "quote-type". It has a few nice features: it is spiral-bound and has "hints" to help if you get stuck. Some of the letter substitutions, hints and styles become a bit too familiar (and easy). But this book is great to relax and enjoy a moderate challenge.

5 comments about Tomb Raider: Legend: The Complete Official Guide.
- I'm very happy with this guide. It is very detailed with nice photos. It came in good time and in excellent condition. A little long to read and it does not stay open by itself but very informative and I am happy that I purchased it.
- I bought this book almost a year after I bought and played the game. First of all, there is only 1 down-side on this book, I expected more page filling art works, scetches, of pictures of the locations. Sure they are in it too, but small and too few.
But never the less, don't let this spoil the book, because for the rest I found it very handy (and nice) to read. It's written in a funny way, clearly by somebody who also enjoyed playing the game and writing this book, Everything is explained in a clear way, making it sound almost too easy to get all the hidden treasures, and what I also found helpfull was a map of every level, in clear detail, where to find what, how to get there, what to find there. And ofcourse all the unlockable secrets of the game itself.
All together I am very happy with the purchase of this book
- This is just what I needed. Being new to the Tomb Raider series, I was in need of something to help me with the in's and out's of the game. With the guide, I have been able to get farther into the game in 3 days than I had managed in 2 months without it.
- Hi, I'm a lover of Tomb Raider. I've played many of the Tomb Raider games. The last one out; Legend, is very fun and even better then the tomb raider games before. The other Tomb Raider games gave you a phone number to call incase you got stuck. Tomb Raider Legend does not have that. Your best bet is to get Tomb Raider:Legend:The Complete Official Guide. This way you will not miss anything and if you can't figure something out and you've spent hours on it, you can cheat and find out how to do whatever it is you're trying to do or get through. Before purchasing the book I was told of a few different web sites where I could find answers to my questions I have about Legend. Unfortunately, that did not work for me. I'm very happy to have purchased The Complete Official Guide, for Tomb Raider Legend. It's made the game much more enjoyable, even more so than it already was!Tomb Raider: Legend: The Complete Official Guide
- I guide really help me understand most if not all of the puzzels. The bosses are fairly easy and the each of the courses are are pure fun. I love the construct of the game it's fun granted. Though it may take a little getting use to the set up of the controls.Tomb Raider is the best game that I have played in while

- If you like crossword puzzles, you might love this.
- When you complete one of these crosswords (without using a dictionary or cheating!) you really feel like you have accomplished something. I love it when I complete a puzzle that I didn't even start filling in until about clue #20! You can't go wrong with Will Shortz.

5 comments about Making Miniature Food and Market Stalls.
- Anyone who is interested in making miniature food should purchase this book, the explanations are superb.
- This is a book come with the step by step guide to create the indivdual items. It is a book value for money.
- I have been looking for a book that will help me make some of the foods for my little people in the doll house. Now, they can have tasty and semi-real food. Very detailed and easy step by step instructions.
- A great book! This book covers the basics of working with polymer clay, including mixing colors and which tools you'll need. It also shows you step-by-step, with words and pictures, how to create each project. And the best part: the finished food that *I make* by following the steps, looks REAL! Making miniature food is so much fun, thanks to this book!
- This book has plenty of pictures and also clear step-by-step instructions, easy to follow, for all stages - from beginners to more experienced artists. Very realistic miniatures, absolutely perfect!
There is only "raw" food though, no dishes... (suggestion for her next book!) I'll buy any book she writes!

4 comments about New York Post Difficult Sudoku: The Official Utterly Adictive Number-Placing Puzzle (New York Post Su Doku).
- This book is the 4th Sudoku book that I have purchased. The other three (Sudoku for Dummies Volume 3, Mensa Guide to Solving Sudoku and one of Will Shorz' books) all contained puzzles ranging in difficulty from easy to extraordinarily difficult. Based on those three books, I would rate these puzzles to be of medium difficulty. Most can be solved using the One Choice and Scanning methods exclusively. If you want to be more challenged than that, this is not the book for you.
- Having become impatient with most sudoku book that devote a third of their space to easy puzzles, I was happy to find this one that has medium to hard puzzles. Through solving them I learned more about how to solve sudoku and have moved on to the author's 'fiendish' book.
- Difficult? Yes, but not impossible and very educational.
I've been utterly addicted to these puzzles for over a year now, and they truly are absorbing. I've never read anything about the technique involved other than the bare essentials underlying the game. Everything I've learned beyond that has been self discovered by doing puzzles of different levels. I've worked on books like Mensa Sudoku (Mensa), Sudoku Easy to Hard Presented by Will Shortz, Volume 3: 100 Wordless Crossword Puzzles (Sudoku Easy to Hard), and others, and have learned a lot over the past several months.
Generally speaking, the process boils down to elimination and selection of the obvious for easy puzzles. These are very easy to do and would be a great point to get younger children started on them; it really does develop a sense of number and place. Simple basic logic is used at intermediate levels, and here too, it would be good for kids, especially junior high level because it introduces patterns that have to be thought out logically to eliminate some of the possibilities. After that it becomes pattern recognition at higher levels, and the logic that is involved is much more complex. The most astonishing pattern is that sometimes found in the "fiendish," "evil," or "diabolical" level puzzles, because the answer is so counter intuitive.
Taking this into account, the reader will be able to recognize his or her own level and whether or not they're ready for something more. The New York Post Difficult Su Doku is as represented, difficult, but it offers a good opportunity to expand what you already know from the previous levels. I was amazed at how much I learned and how rapidly I put it to use.
I started out rather poorly at the beginning, frequently getting to what I thought would be the end of one only to find I'd goofed up somewhere. Sometimes I started over several times on the same puzzle before I got it right. By the time I was just under half way through the book, however, I found myself doing the puzzles as rapidly as I do easier ones. It all comes down to pattern recognition. Give it a try and don't give up.
- Let me start by saying that I thoroughly enjoy killer sudoku problems, and I have quit doing normal sudoku. This book was given to me as a gift, and I breezed right through it. I did not find these puzles to be difficult at all. If you are used to sudoku puzzles, you will find that these can pretty much be solved using basic principles, and they won't present much of a challenge to you.
Bottom Line: If you are just getting into sudoku, you might find this book worthwhile, but if you've been doing them for awhile, I doubt you'll find this book to be a challenge at all.
