1. My specific goal with this book was to find information about the famous Texas domino game of "42," so I was primarily interested in that section of the book. Its attempt to teach that game is inconsistent with the known guidelines and strategies played in Texas 42, so be careful if that is your interest in this book. If so, a comprehensive new book solely on the domino game of "42" is available from amazon.com - "Winning 42: Strategy & Lore of the National Game of Texas."



2. I am not sure if there was a translation error, bad print run, etc... but watch out for typos and other errors in this book. Learning a new game becomes even more challenging when the diagrams do not match up and the text is wrong.



3. It boggles the mind how a book publisher can put out a book with so many typos and mistakes. Since the author's name looks German maybe the problem was in the translation process. After struggling with this book for a week I went back and purchased Jennifer A. Kelley's Great Book of Domino Games... what a difference. My advice is don't waste your time or money on Muller's book. Buy Kelley's book (her book is a pleasure to read).



4. I was quite intrigued by the title of this book as I am sure most folks are who are interested and buy books on domino. I have seen this book often sold with a big set of dominoes included with the package elsewhere - but that hardly makes up for the book which has too many gross errors. At one point in reading about one game description and rules I became hopelessly lost and couldn't really understand much! Its just another book. I finally got the book "Dominoes Plus: The Dominoforms Handbook" as my main guide of use myself to replace this one.

1. if you want to learn how to play classic five up, along with strategy and pointers, this is the bible. the greatest book on dominoes ever written.

1. I thought I'd found a good deal with the book and 112 dominos set. The book is informative and a good beginner book, but the dominos included are cheap and too small to really do anything with. Nowhere on the box or ad does it say they are not real dominos. I was disappointed.



2. Hey it's Dr. Pepper again and I want to say that I think the book and the dominos are a great deal. I want to thank Mr. Speca for going into so much detail so I could share the knowlege with my three children. We all enjoy long hours of setting up and knocking down dominos with tricks such as the "Tarzan Swing."



3. The book of this set is extremely interesting.Then my very patient grandchild attempted to set up the dominoes. He tried for more than an hour. The dominoes are so flimsy and weightless that they simply would not stand up and always fell over by themselves. The idea is excellent, but the dominoes are so inferior it is a crime to include such very poor quality. Sell the book separately. I tried to reach the author by his email, but is was no longer available. He is probably ashamed of his product.
