3. What makes the Simon & Schusters Super CrosswordBook stand out among the rest is the ease of use. The pages are perforated for convenience and a higher quality of paper is used. It is a smoother paper, making the printed word stand out and it making the writing stand out more clearly.



4. After having purchased my second of this series (and exhausted the first) I just ordered another four of these excellent compendia from amazon. If you're the kind of person who dreams in Latin and does six or seven of these an evening, you soon run into the notion that you want more bang for your buck. These are hard puzzles, but why bother otherwise?
   
   It is supremely satisfying to complete one of these gems. I don't claim to do this for every puzzle in these books, but I get better and better, and give these puzzlers credit. The perforations are great, especially if like me you like to put individual puzzles on a clipboard for some serious attention.
   
   Because I ordered these books from amazon, I got a discount, saved shipping, saved sales tax, and saved the gasoline I would have expended for a desperate emergency bookstore visit.

1. This series of crossword books by Simon and Schuster are great for the crossword lover who is bored by the "too easy" crosswords in the books available at most newstands. The puzzles are challenging but mostly do-able. If you're looking for something that stretches your brain a little, but isn't downright impossible, try any of the books in this series.

1. Very large print for the visually handicapped. The puzzles are easy, but nice to do when you just want to relax for a while.



2. My 91 year old mother, with Macular Degeneration, is still working crossword puzzles!! Terrific!



3. This was the first time I purchased a volume in this series. Not only was it visually easy to read, but it also had the advantages of being spiral bound and NOT having clues that would require specialized knowledge to decode. I've just purchased 4 additional volumes in the series.



4. Bought these crossword books for my elderly Mom and she is extremely satisfied. Book difficulty ranges between medium to hard. Great buy!

1. I'm a great fan of cryptic crosswords. I've been working them for years. But this one has nothing to do with the standard cryptic crosswords we are used to on this side of the pond. I couldn't figure out the code. The Times refers to the London Times. Unless your are from England and are used to their style of cryptic crosswords, avoid this one.

1. The crosswords are seperated by days of the week. If you want something a little easier, start on Monday's pages. Looking for a challenging you can go straight to Friday and/or Saturday.

1. The crosswords are really fun! The book is lightweight and easy to lay in your lap and fill in the puzzles. The puzzles are quite large so there's enough room to fill in the letters just fine. Great layout!



2. I must not be the crossword type. Even with 2 masters degrees, I found these crosswords to be too difficult.



3. Excellent puzzles. Tough enough to challenge without incredible frustration. Great for stress reduction and keeping your mind active. Format is easy to read and the book itself is easy to use. It stays open or can be folded in half.



4. I was very disappointed with this book. I purchased a new book but the book, while new, was shopworn. The pages were starting to yellow along the edges. The book is printed on cheap paper that makes the crossword hard to read. It is impossible to erase without smearing the lead.



5. After seeing the movie Wordplay I wanted to try crosswords and have found this book to be great fun!
   
   It is to hard for me to do on my own but my wife and I am able to do it together (we are both newbies).
   
   One fun thing is that puzzles later in the book uses clues used in earlier puzzles so do them in order.
   
   One technique I use is I complete as much of a page as possible, check my answers with the back of the book, and then give it to my wife to complete.
