1. Its ok, but its very short, you will get through it in a couple of hours. It seems like Marty Bergens short paper backs are just churned out without much substance. When you peel away the table of contents and advertising the book is about 48 pages long.
   
   I do not think I got my monies worth.



2. Beginner/Intermediate level book. What little there is is ok.
   
   The content is rather skimpy for the price. Most bridge books that cost twice as much give you 3-4 times the material.
   
   Better to buy a book liek Card Play Made Easy.

1. This book is the right size, has the right depth of content and, in the main, is easy to follow and understand. It covers the basic conventions, putting names to plays that most players only know the basics of. It also provides some titilating trivia about the people who came up with the conventions in the first place. I enjoyed this book, found it useful, and am now looking to purchase others in the series - there are eight others. I recommend this one.

1. Clear, concise, with plenty of problems. Intermediate level.
   The Bird books (Bridge Technique) are ok, this is better, with more problems.

1. I was not very familair with this subject, and this book covered all the basics.
   
   1 - messing up defenders signaling, especially Attitude, on trick one
   
   2 - false carding (playing an interior middle card to mislead teh defenders)
   
   3 - sacrificing a winner to get the defenders to continue the suit
   
   4 - attacking a weak suit, ducking
   
   
   I think this book is best used as a warm up for more advanced books on false carding such as those by Mike Lawrence (False Cards) and Hugh Kelsey (Tricky Game). I plan on rereading it in a year. Its a good solid book.
