- About 3 minutes of information stretched into 18 half empty, double spaced pages dedicated to the author's examination of the notorious Martingale/Double Up betting system, and a couple of variants.
Nothing about Blackjack and nothing about "Determining the Winning Ability of Your Betting System" as the title states. The author seems to think he alone has discovered the amazing fact that this basic progressive betting strategy can actually be analyzed mathematically - and that by employing his brilliant insight, he has uncovered a secret that has evaded all gamblers until now - This is the astounding fact that if you double your bet each time you loose, that after 7 losses you will hit the typical house betting limit (100 times the minimum bet) and "have the Big Loss".
Here are a few typical quotes from this book:
"The first surprise is that a betting system can be mathematically analyzed" [Duh].
"This vision has never before been published and... others do not know it exists for it is the author who developed it!". [alrighty then]
"Money Management is a... somewhat fuzzy subject. This author will not attempt to clear that fuziness." [or anything else for that matter]
And he states at the conclusion of his "Ideal Strategy"...
"During a session one can be dollars ahead so quit before the big loss arrives which it certainly will if you keep playing!"
In fact, save yourself a few more dollars and Don't Buy This Book!
