1. this amazing book is divided into many sections, there is nice summery and later a detailed system that seem to work. it aorked for me. i learn a lot. you can jump from informative pages to fun pages. a practical book.



2. Please note..this book (?pamphlet)is all of 48 pages long. It has zero helpful to say about strategy and tactics. It doesnt even list the optimal rollout moves EXCEPT FOR DOUBLES. It has a total of 2 very old backgammon problems. What little interest there is has to do with variations on the game as played in other countries.



3. 25 bucks for 48 pages? that's over 50 cents a page.

   The author is making a killing off anyone gullible enough to buy it.

1. Easy to read book that takes you from the very beginning of the rules on how to move the checkers to the theory on when to double, and when to accept a double. It includes a chapter on probabilities, as well as brief chapters on duplication, tournaments, and chouette play.

   It is not at the level of the books by Robertie, or Woolsey (in terms of fine points of strategy) but a very solid and complete introduction.

1. The book is a fantastic help to improve the skill against common playing situations. My game has improved a lot after reading it. Some difficult situations seems now kids' stuff.
