1. El video es muy educativo con respecto a las técnicas de relajación, y las técnicas realmente resultaron efectivas para mi esposa. A ella le sirvieron para mantener el control y reducir el dolor del trabajo de parto.
   A mi me sirvió mucho la parte de la filmación del parto para estar preparado psicológicamente para acompañar a mi esposa dentro de la sala de partos.
   Sin embargo, encontré algunos defectos como:
   - Es muy rápido, hay que pausar y retroceder miles de veces para poder entender y practicar los ejercicios.
   - La traducción al español tiene bastantes errores, y muchas veces pronuncian muy mal.
   - La filmación es bastante antigua, por lo que hay cosas que ya han cambiado en la actualidad (por ejemplo la anestesia epidural, que allí aparece bastante más difícil y delicada de lo que es ahora, o los peinados de las personas)

1. This video number 2 was very good for my son. I did learn a few basic words from it but my 8 year old son got most out of it. I felt that this video would be very good for children and even for schools that teach Spanish to children under 13 years. For adults I'd stick to the Pimsleur Spanish course which is the best on the market but without the visuals which is important for children.

1. I just received this "book" and am so far unable to comment on its content. What I am upset about is that Amazon describes this as a "hardcover". Where I come from "hardcover" means I should have received a book. What I got was a CD Rom with nothing even remotely resembling a book. I bought this for my daughter who is enrolled in an intermediate Spanish course. It is the required text book for the course. Too bad I never got a book. Someone at Amazon should review the on-line description for this item and change it from "harcover" to "CD-ROM". (I know it says in the fine print that this is a CD-ROM. But, I thought that meant it just comes with a bonus CD-ROM.)



2. I am as well deeply disappointed that this item's description can have the term "Hard Cover" listed in it. I have registered for an Intermediate Spanish course, and now I am still left without a book for the course. It is rather difficult to follow along in class when your textbook is nothing more than a round disc.



3. I just wanted to comment on the previous reviews. I have used this book and the supplementary CD-Rom. The book is fine. It is a printed book. The CD-Rom just comes with the book. It does have the same ISBN# because it comes packaged with the book. I think I made my point. There is a real book.

1. This is an entertaining and likable program that reviews the very basics of the spanish language. However, if you have more than a rudimentary smattering of spanish you will likely be frustrated with the slow pace and you probably won't pick up much new skills. Also, this is a review format, without interactive viewer participation.

1. I have been trying to teach my daughter spanish. One parent is bilingual and we live in a small town so I turned to this video for help. My daughter is almost 2 and can sit through the entire video and even requests to watch it. She repeats after the video and can now count. I believe it is great for an introduction to the language in addition to one on one teaching and conversation at home. I believe the video helps with proper enunciation and accent.

1. My daughter did not like this video. There appeared to be very little animation, just a series of drawings, like a film strip. She asked me to turn it off after a few minutes. She preferred Professor Parrot.



2. I purchased this DVD for my bright grandchildren, aged 4 and 2 because they seemed to be very attracted to "DORA" and her Spanish pronunciations, often using her simplistic lessons in their everyday vocabulary with ease.
   
   When I sat with them to view "HOLA AMIGOS" for the first time, I realized that it was definitely not for beginners, using complicated sentence structuring and often blurred pronunciations. I had four years of Spanish in school and know that this DVD is definitely not an entry presentation, especially for young children.
   
   The visual seemed to have clear connective attraction which kept their interest but the overly complex sentences lost appeal.
   
   If this DVD was created by someone who did not already have a Spanish accent, it might be more easily assimilated for someone new to the language, English speaking and not of Spanish descent.
   
   I feel this DVD was incorrectly marketed under the guise of entry-level. It is not.



3. I only write this to save well-intentioned people from wasting their money and suffering disappointment. I checked out this series from our local library (big fan of 'try before you buy') and I'm glad I did. Seeing the poor animation and 'teachy' structure of the videos helped me avoid spending my hard-earned money. My daughter, who has a good share of quality Spanish books, CDs, and videos, asked me to turn it off after only a few minutes. The best Spanish products are engaging and and true learning happens as a result of the child being engaged. This was your run of the mill, poor quality, "listen and repeat" format, that tried way too hard to TEACH and not enough to ENTERTAIN. (bored kids aren't learning kids) Please keep searching.



4. My Daughter loves this movie, for that matter she loves all movies. This is a gift I bought for her because I want her to show interest in different languages.



5. I am very pleased with this video. My son is 3 years old and he loves watching it. He already is singing along and saying phrases from it. He knew a little spanish before watching the movie so I think that helped him a little too. The movie is a little slow but very easy to understand. I especially like how it says the word in english then in spanish and shows you how the word is spelled in spanish...very helpful.
