1. This is one of the best books I have read recently. The author has done a masterful job of weaving the various subplots into a page-turner that you will stay up to finish. A must read for all, especially those of us who lived through those times.

3. I thought I was gooing to be reading a book about the assassination of JFK. This book is a work of fiction that deals with the attempted assassination of Castro and murder of Marilyn Monroe. Read the book description before you buy, because this is what you will be getting.

This book certainly stakes out some new ground: the author postulates that Marilyn Monroe's involvement with the Kennedy brothers (which is historically undeniable) provided her with information which made her a risk to national security. The author quotes CIA and FBI memos to demonstrate his point that Marilyn was indeed followed by these agencies. Although this is fiction, the book makes a very good case for CIA/FBI/Kennedy involvement in the "suicide" of Marilyn Monroe. In doing so, the author forces us to think about what the term "Kennedy Assassination" actually means. Is it the assassination of President Kennedy? The Kennedy plan to assassinate Fidel Castro? Or, as the author dramatically fleshes out, the assassination of Marilyn Monroe? This is not the same old junk that the government killed President Kennedy. Rather, it forces us to wonder if Marilyn Monroe was a stronger personality than her fluffy screen roles would indicate: did she really warn Kennedy that he was playing with fire?

I have been a close follower of the murder of JFK but in the thirteen years that I have studied the facts it has occurred to me I have been obsessed with not the evidence or who was behind it (Let's face it: Oswald did the crime and the evidence shows it) but the death of the man himself. Obsessed because this was the event that put America and the World into the toilet. Don't believe me? Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley (who as of recently has been in the hot seat for some suspicious activities) believes that ever since that happened, America has taken a turn for the worse and has stayed that way. He also believes that the image of the Presidency should be modeled after Kennedy.
   
   I totally agree because I'm starting to believe that John Kennedy is the last great American politician. To close this out I have a message, written on a piece of paper, on my bedroom mirror that features a photo of JFK and on the paper I wrote- "WWJD: What Would JFK Do?" It has been said that time heals all wounds. But after more than 42 years, JFK's death is still gushing blood from the American psychic. And you know what happens when you can't stop blood from a wound: You die.
