- If you're not ready to commit to a pricey Indian cookbook, this simple, colorful little number is the way to go. This book is full of recipies that always come out tasting great - first time you try them! There's a handy glossary to describe what turmeric, fenugreek, ghee, vindaloo paste, and several dozen other special ingredients are.
The vegetarian and chicken dishes are especially good. Some of my favorites are pea and tomato soup, spicey lentils, and the quick chicken curry (which falls off the bone). Most of the recipies are relatively easy to make and require only a small addition to your pantry. Did I mention they're also quick? Most of them only require about 20 minutes preparation time. If you're a student or just going out on your own, this is a great way to start a cookbook collection!
