2. This is a very easy to follow cook book with some tasty recipes. A good reference for scout leaders for camp out cooking.



3. This is a very good cookbook, and believe me, I've owned a few. I bought this one as a gift for my son, who loves to hunt and fish. The only thing that raised my eyebrows was the number of different spices a lot of the recipes called for. I don't know how you camp, or how big your cabin or camper is, but most of the time, space is limited. However, do not let that deter you from trying these recipes. Just know that you can still make very good food with it, without every one of the spices it calls for!

1. I have fallen in love with this cook book. Right now hamburger is the cheapest meat to purchase, but looking for creative recipes gets a bit slim. A friend lent us this book and after being amazed at all the different recipes I knew I had to find one. So I looked and found it, of course, on Amazon. Great cook book for starting out as well.

The Meat Board Test Kitchen from the National Live Stock and Meat Board has published a book titled Skinny Beef, offering their versions of streamlined healthy beef recipes. The over 200 pages offer more than 100 recipes with over 75 of them able to be prepared and cooked in under 30 minutes. Each recipe offers nutritional information per serving and contain ingredients found at most grocery stores. Several of the recipes can me made in batches and used to create others, or some use leftovers to create yet another meal.
