1 comments about Barbecuing and Sausage Making Secrets: How to Buy Beef, Pork, Poultry, Lamb, Fish and Sausage.
- This book is the "bible" of smoke cooking. Charlie and Ruthie lead you systematically through the benefits of charcoal and electric smoke cookers then give you a blueprint of how to achieve the best smoked meats, fish, vegetables, etc. They go through what to look for when choosing meat, what temperature to bring the meat to for done-ness and how to check for done-ness. There is a complete section on rubs to choose/use with various meats (including recipes for making your own rubs). As a bonus, the book also includes time honored recipes that will make your mouth water (try the garlic roasted pecans)! Great book for smoke cookers!!

1 comments about Williams-Sonoma Mastering: Beef & Veal: made easy with step-by-step photographs.
- I first borrowed this book from a friend. The books was so helpful that I had to go out and buy my own copy from Amazon. It is a great cook book. The illustrations are very helpful. It is written clearly, with step by step directions. It explains which cuts of meats are best used in different methods of cooking such as braising, roasting, and stir frying. It teaches you how to cook with meat and the recipes are simply amazing. I LOVE IT!

- Written and compiled by Paul Gayler (the executive chef of the prestigious Lanesborough hotel of London's Hyde Park), The Gourmet Burger is a cookbook that elevates the simple burger to an edible art form. Full-color photographs by Gus Filgate, and Gayler's methodical instructions teach the reader to create mouth-watering meals, from Bengali Chicken Burger with Cucumber and Tomato Achar, and Asian guacamole, to Pumpkin Couscous Burger in Pitas, to the Big Apple Deli Burger with Swiss Cheese and Barbecue Coleslaw, and so many more. 2 comments about The Great Steak Book.
- If you like a great steak(who doesn't), this book will be a better purchase than your next cut of beef. From the knowledge he gained in the cattle business, Grady Spears is able to teach the proper ways to cook any cut of beef. The book also contains an informative diagram of where the different cuts come from.
Besides the instruction & information, this book contains the finest recipes you will find. Such as the pan seared rib-eye, pepper crusted tenderloin, Texas beef wellington and my favorite, smoked prime rib w/ horseradish sauce!
- Purchased this book as part of a gift, which was well-received! Contains many great recipes for any steak-enthusiast!

2 comments about Simply Israel - A Collection of Recipes from the People of Israel.
- As Israel is a melting pot of many different cultures, T. Gila Levine did a great job of compiling recipes of almost every ethnic group in Israel as well as typical Israeli recipes that are well-loved around the world.
Some of the recipes come with wonderful pictures of the dishes so that you can see what they look like.
It is a wonderful gift to friends and family who love Israel and it's food which I highly recommend.
- I just returned from a three-week vacation in the Holy Land. I loved the food and I saw this book at the Garden Tomb and purchased it. Since returning home, I have been please to find the receipes of my favorite Israeli foods in this book. I especially love the Israeli Salad that seems to be served at every meal. I made my own version and found that it just didn't taste the same....so I went to the cook book and found the receipe, made the additions to my salad and was so pleased to have the salad that I had been enjoying in Israel.
I look forward to making many of the wonderful dishes I learned to love in Israel and this book will be a wonderful addition to my cook book collection.Simply Israel
